So with you on the dream state from Tuesday's epi.😍😍..coupled with that its an early start for the weekend for me!😃

I just LOVE your TITLE, hun,👏 particularly if we look at this epi in relation to Tuesday's conversation and dreams! Your Tolkien quote a testament to the "eclipse of love" even in the most trying time!😊 Possibly my most favorite trilogy after The Godfather, I couldn't help but think of the last title in the cinematic The Lord of the Kings: The Return of the King when I first read your quote!!😃

I watched the epi in a frantic, rushed state given the day I had...It was a good segue from Tuesday's episode (yesterday did not exist for me!☢️) and I couldn't help but think its time for the mithai...Yes, the King asked for meetha-- I say bring it in droves!!!😃 He is our light as much as he is Khushi's.--"Jugnu"~a hope and a prayer, soon to be answered!

Ulaj Gaye: The Snake sets the scene without even realizing it! Right off the bat...Yeah, he talks of saale saab but his entrapment has already been set in motion. Starting with ASR in captivity. Piecing together information. Yes, a "funny observation"-ajeeb-that the temple bells and the train sounds no longer exist. His one man captor provides even more fodder...That phone call becomes part of the exit strategy. A box to be sent...with things for his Khushi...a calculated plan by the nappers...He knows where this is going. Next, a receipt...a name, numbers...He knows what he needs to do...He uses his own weakness-his illness--as his greatest strength to bid for time...The box becomes a conduit for the SOS--he will give give his coordinates. A more realistic version of the bottle we've been referring to! "Aap Humare Saath Hain"...the words from their most intimate conversation stay with him as he writes words that only she will understand..."aur bahut jald hum aapko waapas le aayenge...yeh hamaara aapse waada hai"...He knows she is still searching...for anything and everything that could unite them...The jugnu moves to bring his "light" to her! Success...the box is sealed with the missive!

Alag Angle: I liked the scene between NK and Khushi. As they go through every part of their sleuthing, more crumbs surface. The Shyam-Anjali dependency...Now poignant as ever. Rani Sahiba's bank account will give her answers to her husband's behavior. As she starts to unravel the realities around her, a pandora's box will be opened! While those statements shed light for Khushi, they will spell darkness for Anjali! Divya Jyoti Bank, indeed...

The pendant and water reference gets Khushi's mind going...Shaq paida hua...Why would water be so harmful to the pendant? Water--who do we think of when we think of that word? Yes, our Ocean...the end is near for what Shyam holds dearest...A plan in motion using every bit of her strenght, grit and determination...dismissing the fears, the same fears she had the night before!

"Aur bahut jald hum aapko waapas le aayenge"

Her words to her love drive her...every time, to a singular purpose! While the kheer scene from Tuesday's episode was a "fail" on so many levels, today, SUCCESS! Raksha dhaaga-her words entreat Satan right from the get go...Raksha Dhaaga--inadvertently for herself as well...DM raksha karna...

She cares, even having professed her hatred for him!! That all he can think about! He cannot see beyond those hands and that face as she speaks the words he has always wanted to hear "Saath-saath"..."Hum pehna de" she says...Music to his ears...He is enthralled...caught up in another realm where his lust and infatuation are veiled under that illusionary "mohabbat"; his heart for a moment reflects the "goodness" he feels in hearing those words...The Devil finds his momentary pleasure as he feels her hands on his neck...She has him right where she needs him! Swoops down...mission accomplished...now she finally has what she needs!

This is Only A Test: The references keep coming back to the pariksha...the test at hand. Just as you have, I want to briefly discuss Khushi's nightmare from Tuesday's episode because it relates to our firefly and your title, and the last scene in today's epi...She knows her "light"--her hope--is always with her...Thats why she is not afraid anymore...She sees him in her dream...He propels her to move forward...Yet, in her nightmare we see Shyam with that candle...Hooded eyes...She knows what the devil is asking of her...She has to go through the the fire--represented in that candle--to get to light...As the nightmare shifts forward..She is now AWAKE...she sees NK...Her ally and her alibi...She is not alone in mission...But her test is for her, and her alone! Because she is determined to succeed for the one who is priceless to her! Her fears have to be put aside...and she did exactly that on Tuesday and today!

Anjali will decide whether Khushi has to prove her innocence. Will everything she knows to be true of Khushi take a back seat because of what she will witness over the next few days? Will ASR succumb to Di's wish or will he support his Khushi...break through expectations and take it on himself to defend and protect the one he loves...for the one who he has said is his everything! That, indeed, will be Arnav's test!

Other thoughts:

~Hamara dearest Arnav bitua's dearest Mamiji hands pe hands leke nahi bhaith sakath hain! How AWESOME was she today?! She is the QUEEN, yaar! It was amazing to watch her! ROCKSTAR personified! I can't wait to see what or whom she uncovers!😎

~Oye Tez Chameli...Go to the Disco with Anarkali...and stay there!😈 I absolutely DETESTED Payal's look today..."Bagiche mein bhavara aah chukahai"--🤢--

bhavara with a sick allergy (who came blame him!) for his chameli...A special gift for our CV bhavara 🤣:

Btw, looks like the Raizada men have an allergy to all things Chandni Chowk...but pray tells me what else will Chandni Chowk reveal?

~Speaking of Aakash...phew...the Bishop finally enters...Mr. Roy ab door nahi, Priya!!!😆 "Doh din", phangurls, two days says the Bishop...Look at the date on the calendar...Yeah, yeah...Thats when the King will RISE...Never mind that the two As have no clue about the "Scotland deal"; a reality check is around the corner...Suffice it to say the preview period for select audiences of AR36K is finally over...Now, the shows starts for aam janata!😃

~Anjali's momentary disappearance--the calm before the storm...enjoy karne ka pedi...The PERFECT storm is brewing in the South, moving upward...The North/Northwest-- en garde!

~Suvi talked about this earlier, and I howled when I heard it~Shyam's asking for Saris in the box from Scotland!🤣 😆 Shyam babua, you are best back in Lucknow or Agra...in an asylum somewhere working chikenkari on a sari!😆

~The man-napper...boss ka chela...Last rites ke liye ready ho ja...you won't need a phone where you are going, biddu!😈 Something tells me the one man show will FINALLY get the whopping of his life in time for the weekend!

Performances were just brilliant today: Sanaya's Khushi--grace under pressure!

Abhaas...I hate to love you; dude, you make me shudder. Your candle scene on Tuesday is your ticket to the awards season! A little less on the lovelorn teenager look today would have worked better for me!

Sobti: No words...your eyes are your forte...The FIRE never dies in them...and I love you for it! You may shoot for 36 (there's that number again!😆) hours, but you remain so true to your character...Where Sobti stops and ASR takes over is a seamless pass! Bravo! My only advice: put on a few lbs! Soccer playing ke liye acha hoth hain!!!😃

I have never cared for the Tooheys of the forum...am not going to start now! Barring Wednesday's episode, its been a good week...Super excited for what is to come: Lewis Carroll and Garry Kasparov are seated at the chess board...All the pawns are in place...The Queen finally makes her move. The match starts in earnest now!😃

Loved the crooner Priya!!👏 Absolutely loved your take on the fake adultery and agnipariksha! The four main characters we have are all so flawed! Nobody is perfect yet each of the characters bring in a whole new dimension to the story. Yes, you have rightly pointed it out...it is the lull before the storm. Bring it on, I say! 👍🏼

"Khel Shyaam ne shuru ki thi khatam ASR karega" 😎

The episode belonged to Arnav and Khushi!! Both took steps to reach out to each other. Arnav was quick to come up with a plan. He wrote a small note for Khushi...what could it be? It had to be in a coded language that only Khushi could understand. I feel he has mentioned something about the fireflies in the note. Just as he gave her the fireflies in the hut to drive away the darkness, he hopes the jugnu on the note will also help drive away the darkness that has engulfed both their lives. I maybe completely off target but this is the first thought that came to my mind.

Khushi is surprising me every day. She knows she is playing a dangerous game. She is deliberately keeping mami away because of Shyaam but this girl needs all the support in the world from anybody who is offering her help. Khushi has no plan in mind. She is just trying out every possible way of getting to Arnav and if that means befriending Shyaam then so be it. She knows what will affect Shyaam the most and is doing just that. She knows she is his object of desire and as you said, is walking on a thin edge! For Khushi, it is a double edged sword. She needs to be extremely careful because the minute Shyaam gets caught, her name will be pulled in and he will blame her as well. She may be giving Shyaam his 2 minutes of joy but will also give him hell when time comes. Thats my Khushi.

Shyaam is getting overconfident. In his head, Khushi is on his side and after acquiring Arnav's money in a few days, he will live the life of a King. Little does he know that the Queen is making smart (but dangerous) moves to corner him and get to her own King. I hated that smirk on his face when Khushi tied the raksha dhaga. He was so lost in his own world that he didn't even realize Khushi had swapped his chain with another dummy chain🤡. Ha ha ha the game has begun!! 😈

Mami was a darling as always. Baat hamre dearest Arnav bitua ki hai aur hum hand pe hand rakhe nahi bait sakat hai. Awww how sweet was that. She is all set to do her own investigation. I don't know what she will do because she has absolutely no clue but I will be happy if she comes to know about shyaam's truth. Her concern for Arnav bitua is genuine and I am happy she is getting back into the game.😃

On a lighter note:

Arnav could have knocked off that kiddo and escaped easily since he knew no other goon was present that day.
The kidnapper telling Arnav that he had bought a new phone was 🤣 🤣 bilkul yeda hai, little does he know that Arnav has only sponsored that mobile phone of his. This whole kidnapping drama has been sponsored by Arnav Singh Raizada.😆😆😆
Shyaam has already lost it😆😆. Why will Arnav send saris from Scotland wrapped in tacky wrapping paper. Ugh!😡 ASR ke baare mein kuch bhi nahi pata aur chala hai usse barbaad karne...moorkh kahin ka😡

kudos to sanaya, utter brilliance. i tend to overlook her when ASR is around or in the same frame (no fault of mine though)😉😉

It was a wonderful episode today..loved everyone specially mamiji, the way she was asking for arnavs wellbeing and the way she decided to support khushi...

Not to mention, Barun, Khushi and NK were at their best...

The story is moving even if at a snail's pace but our patience is wearing thin now 🥱

" Constructive Criticism " An often misused term. For somebody who has followed even the K-shows during their peak period, I would rate IPK a far superior product than all of those put together. I always wonder when people say that they dont follow any other show, have no clue on the story or the actors. They would be the last ones to realise that IPK is in a league of its own, be it the story or the brilliant ensemble cast. Even on an off day, they will deliver an episode which will be above the ordinary when compared to the mediocrity that defines the state of Hindi GEC's right now.

Coming back to the last few episodes. The candle scene & Priya u brilliantly highlighted the difference between the grey protagonist & the absolutely dark antagonist here...

The luring of Shyam by Khushi...It gives me the creeps 🤢 But it will be interesting to see how this will be justified by Khushi in the long run & as u said will she come out unscathed. I am sure the channel will most definitely find a way out fr their dearest bahuriya 😆 But on a serious note, what will happen when Shyam stumbles upon the fact that Khushi fooled him all along...

Maami's comeback...I would love to see her play a bigger role now, she needs to connect the dots herself & help these two " clumsy characters " understand that this is Sheriouss Bijjness...

As I wrote in an earlier post, Khushi has entangled herself in a huge web of lies & has handed out half-truths to most of the family members. Frankly I would want her to be answerable to all of them, she cant get away with this lightly even though I undertsand the motive here...

She was to return those Rs.2 lacs to Anjali...Bhool gaye CVs? Ghajini types 😉

Priya, u mentioned ASR being the " Base factor " in this show. Not the regular deekra of this leading Hindi GEC. This epic character so well written, not much deviations till date...His judgement day is not too far & I am sure the CVs will not disappoint 😊
