In the forum it's difficult to be a Sarun fan UPDT

The whole forum is in a celebratory mood after this week's rankings. I don't want spoil it in anyway but there is a serious issue that is causing discomfort to almost all of us nowadays.

There was a time a when things were very much simple in this forum. We were fans, we came here, we loved Arhi, we loved Sarun, we discussed the show, enjoyed the off screen segments, drooled, interacted with friends, had healthy discussions and basically had a gala time here.

People had their favorites in the early days of the forum too but people also understood and respected each other's choices.

It was all good even a few months ago but now a lot of things have changed.

We come and see all different all sorts of negativity. It is extremely difficult now to make a post whether it's on Arhi or Sarun without getting judged. It's extremely hard if you are fan of Sanaya or Barun but it is even harder if you are fan of Sanaya AND Barun. If you make a post praising BS or SI, your intentions are judged, if you pour your heart out in that post, you are laughed at for being a fan girl or you are accused of bias.

The cool thing in this forum now is to be a 'less obsessed fan'.

If you once make a post in favor of / praising either one of them you are tagged as his or her fan only.

If you make a post praising both, people count the number of words you have used for your praises. If you use a few more words for one of them, you are accused of favoritism or people think you are just taking a diplomatic stand.

I usually make analytical / discussion posts but there are days when I just want to drool. Dare I make a drooling post, my love for SI or worse even my intellect will be questioned.

If I make a post praising SI, whether I include any BS praise or leave him out, I will be bombarded with questions.

I am not going to deny I am guilty too. Sometimes I lose it too.

Even worse, the forum is flooded with post BS vs SI posts or posts where BS or SI are real life partners are brought in and unnecessarily discussed.

Why? Aren't they friends and co-actors? Why are we pitting them against each other or judging their actions?

Earlier we used to enjoy the offscreen segments but now BS and SI's off screen behavior is scrutinized.

Why do we even need to discuss SaRun's real life partners? Even six months ago, whenever any interview or offscreen segments came out where SaRun's real life partners were mentioned / showed, all we used to say were things like their so cute, lovely couple, they love each other so much, God bless them. And that was about it. People understood that this IPKKND / Arhi / Sarun forum and kept any discussion related to their personal lives to a minimum and respected BS / SI and their partners.

But now all it leads to are unhealthy comparisons or unrealistic expectations and fantasies.

Aren't we disrespecting Barun and Sanaya with such comments?

Can't we just love Arhi, IPKKND and SaRun?

Back in the day, the forum had fewer members and most of the active members were well acquainted with each other and we understood and respected everyone's POV. I am certainly not blaming the new fans or members. I am glad the forum is bigger now and I am extremely glad that Arhi fanbase is increasing. With such a huge number of people, views are bound to differ. But it's not like in the early days people loved the show or actors any less.

Then what has changed now? 😕

The forum is difficult place to be for fans who love the show and Arhi and love SaRun BUT also don't have any unrealistic expectations, admire Sarun friendship and respect their personal lives and choices.

Some of the posts are not just uncomfortable but at times even embarrassing to read.

Can we also keep some of our gutter thoughts in check and restrict them to just Arhi? Most of them are fun to read but every now and then some posts just cross the line.

Is it wrong to expect a little maturity from this forum? 😕

I agree that we are Arhi fans, but we are clearly failing to be Sarun fans.

I know my post will be forgotten by most in less than 24 hours, but if you agree with me, can I at least expect some of you to remember this?

UPDATE : ....Friends, my intention is not to offend any one by this post. I hope all of you understand my feelings. Yes we all make mistakes, that includes me as well. There are moments when I lose my temper, misjudge things and take it out on people. I am not generalizing and certainly not blaming all the new members. Not to long ago, I was a new member of this forum. I have been following IF for some years and it's my love for IPKKND/ Arhi / Sarun that made me join this forum. That does not mean anyone who joined later is lesser fan or less sincere.

If I was looked down on for being a new member, I would have felt demotivated to post. It's just that I have been here from the early days of the forum and the current state of the forum makes me sad. It's not just one group of fans, all of us are responsible for this, new and old members alike. If the forum environment changes for the better. It will be great for all of us.

I am unable to reply to everyone but I am very thankful to all of you for giving your valuable comments.

I know I have lost my cool many times and the discussions on this thread has been valuable for me too.My apologies to anyone I have hurt in any of my posts. I hope all us can become more sensitive towards other's feelings and sentiments.
