I just read it and had the feeling- following conventions for asr means loving his di and Khushi..he wants to included in their circle and coaXed by them to follow.there is also a definite fight between Arnav and asr ,also the values of his mom and the reality he had come across.now I do feel that Arnav has gained a upper hand because of the love he bears for khushi

strictly for the sake of discussion ...

i don't think he mocked khushi during the wedding ... he gave in to her belief of conventions ... he married her in the way that would be acceptable to her ... in front of GOD ( while they could've shot a lil more extensively & showed pandit wandit in that scene ) ... had he not respected her conventions .. he would've either suggested a live in ... now that would've mocked her beliefs ... so much more effective to humiliate her & crush Shyam ... or got registered contract marriage ...

but he followed convention ...married her ... coz not just to respect her conventions but also there was a family connection which was being established between them ...

Appu if he wnats to Mock her or insult her he may just ask her To put sindoor herself , But he did it..deep inside he believes The marriage rituals and Customs ..but he don't want to accpet it openly 😃
