Hello Ladies of the REDUX thread. How are the Diwali celebrations going? Well it is Diwali in Arhiland with they finally hug isn't it.
Today all I have to say is ... Jai Ho CV's! Jai Ho!
So I have a lot on my chest which I want to write about. Since I have not had the time to write through this week its all going to come out today, so my apologies on the length of this post in advance.
Khushi: Her desperation reaches new heights, she becomes so serious that she is not recognizable. Its like she can't be herself without him. This is the one time she needs the support of someone else, and she starts to depend on an elder too. In her desperation, she will take all danger, and go down all avenues. Really does she care that he has hurt her, disgraced her, and abandoned her? NO!!! All she cares about is seeing him again. Bringing him home safely.
Arnav: He has something of hers with him and he holds on to it with his dear life. We see ASR surfacing, the one who takes no prisoners and shows no weakness. He finds a way to break through the ropes. Him pacing reminded me of a caged tiger, give the dangerous cat one chance and he will make the most of it. His dream was magnificent, so surreal and beautiful!!! Him being with Khushi will be nothing but a dream come true.
Arnav and Khushi ( on either sides of the wall): Ok so I'm a logical person, this whole sensing one another is really too much for me... But did that stop me from crying like a baby NO!!!
Well done CV's for giving us such an emotional reunion. They are together but they are not. Loved how Khushi leans on the walls and breaks down, he is right there, she has found him!!! While he is desperately looking for a way to her she just falls apart. This separation has actually showed Khushi how much she needs him, she has leaned on him and she doesn't even know it. She tells him stuff she never tells anyone else, in moments of her pain, that is significant. It was beautiful. Then they see each other, she holds onto him, his tone changes, she doesn't want to let him go, even when letting him go will bring him closer to her. But he makes her see reason. Then comes angry Arnav ( the same guy who said tumhe kuch ho jata toh), and here she smiles. This is the Khushi I have come to recognize, the one I root for. She is happy to hear him yell even. How cute was that, even he smiles. Then he asks her the million dollar question. How did you know I was in trouble? And she recalls the ILU, love it, love it, love it!!!!
ARNAV and Khushi together (forever): After a good fight sequence, my favorite three words from Arnav tum theek ho... Loved the innocence of Khushi when she shakes her head, ( no I'm not ok idiot, I'm worried sick about you). And then there was the hug...
She runs to him, and hugs him with so much force that he has to take a step back, she is lifted off the ground, this time he enfolds her in his arms, and a slow smile spreads across his face, he remembers every instance she has been there. This was very important, because he is washing away the MU with his love, he is remembering how she reacts to him, this is really where action speaks louder than words, he doesn't have to hear her explanation, he has to see what she is doing for him. Love !!! Love !!!! Love!!!
I can't wait for the "love shack" scene!!! Kuch romance banta hai boss its the anniversary of IPKKND there will be celebrations across the world.
Honourable mentions:
Mami: God this women's comic timing is fantastic and her range of emotions hidden well under the layers of makeup. She has come to care for Khushi because Khushi has noone else to turn to and she needs the support, she says she is doing it for Arnav but you can see she has warmed up to Khushi.
Paykash: the opposite of Arhi in emotions. Where Arhi have mostly seen the terrible in each other, the quick temper, the rash actions and a tiny bit of romance (yes tiny). Paykash have had artificial sweetness and civility between them. But the reality is stress has to arrive in the midst of all relationships. I liked that they are showing this in Paykash. The timing however couldn't be more awful. I mean Arhi is like a cayan peper and these two are like a green peppers. Needless to say raat or din ka difference.
Anjali: Like it or not she knows more about Arnav then anyone else. And to find Arnav she had the key. I loved that she was brought in even if it is for a nano second.
What I would like to see:
First to the CV's and PH: Great use of this track, Barun schedule etc etc. this track just feels right, and gives me a sense that this is the IPKKND that I love. You guys didn't make lemonade with the lemons you were handed out you bloody made WINE!!!! Lets call it the miracle of CANNA😉. I know people yell bloody murder when BDs are used but I don't notice them because I'm an ordinary fan. I have to say though the hug sequence was amazing. AMAZING!!!! And that promo by God I say!!! I guess they have to get down in the middle of the jungle or Anjali will come a knocking in the middle. lol.
Sanaya and Barun when you guys come togther I don't know what magic happens but seriously, I never say this because I'm a SRK fanatic, but you are almost on par with SRK and Kajol. I hope you guys know how hard it is for me to pay anyone that compliment. That hug sequence, Barun with a slow grin, and Sanaya with her eyes tightly shut holding on for dear life, BRILLANT guys, the direction was spectacular, can you blame it that people notice when the BD are used. You guys are just too damn good obviously we will notice. Keep up the good work, and also can you please stop neglecting IPKKND I mean is it necessary to do other things ...( Kidding you guys deserve all the accolades you get... more success to you I say and better wadrobes in IPKKND😉)
1. So now what would I like to see. Less of spoilers, sometimes I itch for them, but I would really like to keep the suspense, I didn't need to know that Arnav was going to go back to the kidnappers.
2. The kidnapper not being Shyam, but I already think that is true, because you have an way of giving us what we didn't anticipate. I think Shyam may be working with the kidnapper but he isn't this mastermind.
3. If Khushi does have to face Shyam I want to see Durga Khushi facing him, armed with the knowledge that Arnav loves her and he showed her how much. Now Shyam should be facing some wrath!!! He should be flumoxed by the sudden power of Khushi and Arnav's love.
4. Arnav has to question himself, and feel guilty for what he had done to her. How much he has hurt her because of his tainted self. There has to be a guitly phase from his side!!! Even if Khushi helps hims through it. He needs to not be able to live with himself. REMEMBER NANI SAYS HE PUNISHES HIMSELF IF HE CAN'T LESSEN THE PAIN FOR SOMEONE HE LOVES, here he has caused the pain and she was not at fault.
5. Shyam and Anjali's love story, before the hell breaks loose we need to see it, I want to know how she fell in love in with him. And how the family trusted their glass doll of a daughter to him.
6. And finally, on a lighter note, I would like to see the brothers Arnav and Akash jealous because their wives have found male friends in NK and this new guy. It will be hillarious.
Ok so before I end, I feel like I should give you strategies to deal with the channel. AGAIN!!!
TRP's are important yes I get that. But you said it yourself that this is not a show the channel is used to. Take in all the activity this show gathers on youtube for instance. How many times on average each episode is watched, never mind the scenes. I myself must have watched the hug a couple of times. This is your ammunition. You don't need to change you just need to change your sales strategy. Dazzle them with how you are in the top 10 shows and IPKKND has the internet presence of all their shows combined. May be you should push back on them and ask them they should be making a better revenue model for this show given its reach. But enough talk about economics.
