As of now, I can not pin point any reasons why he should or could turn negative as such. It is just a hunch and trying to club few dots together.

I never said that his negative traits are not explored. See if you compare anjali and akash. I am 100% sure that anjali does not know the truth as of now even if you come up with 100 proofs.
But when it comes to aakash - Can you give 100% guarantee that he will never turn grey? Do you have enough scenes to have such tight grip on the character traits, the way you have for ASR? Aakash as such never impacted the story lines so far! IMO (Payash had impact). May be later he will have importance as akshay said in the interview. Either by being the protector or by being the destructor! It can take any turn IMO.
So there is some possibility. you just can not reject the idea downright! It is possible. Reasons could be anything. Btw, you remember my take on shyam - ram gone rogue? same way imagine a dark bharat? Isn't plausible?
