SS: Race - Part 2

Recap:
"Your a girl..." He whispered shocked, except it wasn't from the fact that she was actually a girl. The shock was due to the breath-taking beauty standing before him in shorts and white tank-top, her hair blowing around her she looked up at him keenly. She knew he was taken aback by more than her just being a girl, she smirked before she leaned up on tip-toes, hands on his shoulders, lips to his ears and whispered,
"Sorry...But Khushi Kumari Gupta Always Wins."

"Khushi...Kumari...Gupta" Arnav whispered, mainly to himself, looking off to the side. Suddenly his head snapped back to her face, his eyes glinted with disbelief. Happiness and something else quickly replaced that disbelief.. A slow smile grew across his face as he stepped forward.
An "Ooh!" escaped Khushi's lips are she was suddenly lifted off the ground and twirled around by none other then ASR himself.
Once her tinkling laughter died down Arnav placed her back on the ground softly, his smile still in place. Khushi looked up at him, her eyes full of mirth and mischief.
Arnav stumbled backwards at the sudden force of Khushi tackling him, he instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist. He was about to straighten up when he lost his balance, tripping over rock, and fell to the ground with a giggling Khushi still in his arms.
He landed with an "Oof!," then looked up to see Khushi laughing her heart out and he couldn't help but chuckle right along with her. Khushi finally controlled her laughter and got up, pulling him along with her.
"Still my jungli billi, I see" Arnav said with a smirk as she fixed her white tank top, he knew this nickname irked her. His smirk grew when he saw her face scrunch up as if she just smelled something foul. He quickly hid his smirk as she looked up at him with a glare.
"Arnav! I despise that name and you know it!" She whined, with the cutest pout on her lips. She crossed her arms and turned her back on him, her pout still in place.
Arnav leaned closer to her, chuckling, "Would you prefer Jalebi Bai?" he said to the back of her head. He leaned in even closer when silence was his reply. "I asked you a question Khushi..." this time he whispered sternly into her ear.
She suddenly turned around to face him, their faces now inches apart. She looked up into his eyes and whispered right back, "You know exactly what name I prefer."
Before Arnav could reply, a few very unsubtle coughs and throat clearings brought both of them out of their trance. They both looked away a little shocked at their nearness but recovered themselves quickly. Khushi skipped back over to the girl that had been on the back of her bike, her breathtaking smile back in place.
"Payal! I won!" Khushi exclaimed excitedly, "But when was their ever any doubt" She continued, this time with clear smugness as she looked over to Arnav and winked playfully. She began pulling Payal back towards her spot next to Arnav. She turned around to face Arnav,
"You remember Payal? Right? My bestfriend? All you guys used to tease her by calling her Sharmili or Desi Girl?" Khushi kept blabbering away until she saw realization dawn upon Arnav.
"Desi Girl? Is that really you?!" Arnav exclaimed as he looked her up and down. "No way!" He exclaimed, looking at Khushi with utter disbelief written all over his face. The girl standing in front of him could not be the same Desi Girl he knew. The Desi Girl he knew wore nothing but kurtas and jeans, but the girl in front of him was standing there in a flowy sundress that reached her knees.
Khushi just nodded, understanding the shock Arnav was going through, he hadn't been there through Payal's whole transformation.
"She isn't a Sharmili anymore either." Khushi pointed out. "Oh! And remember Akash?" Khushi asked, but Arnav just looked at her like *No. I don't remember the guy who was my bestfriend back in high school.* So she continued, "Yes, well, Akash and Payal...are well...um..." Khushi didn't know how to put it, she fond it so weird.
"Spit it out Khushi!" Arnav said, getting aggravated at Khushi unintelligible mumbling.
"They're boyfriend and girlfriend!" Khushi blurted out, causing her to blush along with Payal, for different reasons of course. Khushi recovered herself when she heard Arnav's legendary, "What the..?!"
~Twenty Minutes Later~
Khushi and Payal explained all that had happened in the last few years after Arnav had gone off to college in Canada when he was 18, while Khushi and Payal , both 16 at the time, had stayed in Delhi along with Akash, who was 18 as well. Arnav lost contact with all of them after a while because of his studies. Five years later, Khushi and Payal both ended up in Canada to further their studies in fashion and Akash followed right after saying he could get a better start with his company in Canada but he just wanted to be with Payal, as everyone knew.
Khushi had hoped to see Arnav again, she wondered if he still remembered her, if he still remembered them. After a year of hoping and wondering she saw a magazine article about the man, who had built a whole chain of industries from scratch by himself by the age of 24, making him the youngest businessman of the decade. Khushi remembered clearly how when see had seen the words 'Arnav Singh Raizada' in bold letters, admiration, shock, and excitement has consumed her.
She had Akash find out more for her. She was amused and happy that despite being 24 year-old businessman, Arnav was just as hot-headed, stubborn and mischievous yet still caring and down to earth. When she found out he still loved racing on his bike, she couldn't help but be his next opponent. She still remembered that he had taught her how to ride one back in high school and they had shared their passion of racing, back then she would always lose to him, but in the last few years she hadn't lost a single game and couldn't wait to have a showdown with him again. Payal had come up with the plan to keep her identity a secret till the race was over and she had won. And so now here they were.
Arnav took everything in with a slight smile on his face. Just like him, Khushi hadn't changed a bit, she was the same talkative, filmy, annoying, stubbborn, righteous yet cute, loving, clumsy at times, innocent girl he knew. When, during her non-stop playback of the past, she mentioned how she wanted to see him again and that made him smile. When she said that she wondered if he remembered her, if he remembered them, he wanted to say of course, how could he forget.
Arnav was still thinking about everything Payal and Khushi had told him when he heard Khushi saying that everyone should join her at the new club in town, Garam Masala, to celebrate her victory against the unbeatable ASR.
After everyone decided what time, they all went home to get ready for tonight.
~Few Hours Later~
"Payal!" Khushi shouted, while looking for her favorite earrrings, favorite for all the right reasons. "I can't find them!...Argh! Of course the day I need them they disappear." Payal walked over to a pouting Khushi and waved her earring in front of her face, only to have them snatched from her hands and a relieved Khushi bear hugging her.
Khushi walked over to the full length mirror and admired herself as she put on her earrings. "Okay! Let's go!" Khushi said exictedly.
"We are definiately going to break a few hearts today" Khushi said with a wink as she walked out the door only crash into something, or rather someone. A hand slide around her waist as she steadied herself.
"You broke mine a long time ago." The familiar voice caused Khushi's eyes to fly open and meet the face of her savior. Her shock soon turned to glee as she saw who the owner of the familiar voice was.
