This could very well be his hint to Khushi ... and a confession too...
but if a Do Or Die moment had arrived for him .. and he chose to do what he always wanted... then there is nothing wrong in it or nothing unjustified in it ... IMO

Monsi the problem is if he knew his end was near, he should have warned Akash somehow about Shyam na, baaki sab chod de.

How will Akash protect them against a danger he is unaware of?

So they did it as an afterthought, it was not well thought out is what I felt as much as I loved the moment.

If something happens to him.. he knows that Khushi wont sit quiet .. and then Shyam can be handled ... so he gave appropriate hints to Khushi and Akash both...
Obviously he could not be openly saying that Meri behen aur biwi ko shaym se bachao... !!
But ILU is a hint to khushi as well as his mann ki baat which he supressed for so long...
Even if he doesnt know the truth.. he always loved her .. he never could hate her... so before dying he wanted to utter those words to her...
Cant wait for the day when ArHi are face to face after this .. 😊
