If the original will is with Akash now, that might mean that both the new and the old will were returned to him(probably to make sure it was drafted according to his wish) and he chose to give the new one to Akash and retain the old one with him, probably to destroy it later. He never did maybe? But that would mean the new will will have the date after the old one so Shyam's plan, if he uses the same date, should be a flop!

Oh on another thought, if on the non-existent occasion that Shyam succeeds, won't Mr.Roy be required to supervise the proceedings of transfer? Won't he know that the will is a fake? What's Shyam thinking?

Correct! A transfer document would have reaped immediate results but technically speaking it may have been too much work for Shyam to prepare the inventory of ASR's riches which he solely owns and not in conjunction with Anjali or Akash. Because legally, he can transfer only what he solely owns or only to the extent of his share. So our lazy wakeel thought its easier to get a will signed and kill him 😉. He's probably the lamest villain ever.
