MOD's: the topic is partly about IPKKND, mostly a general discussion. Hope forum roles are not broken. If yes, then you are most welcome to please close the topic. :) Hello people!

While taking a break from my university project, a though came to my mind that does the borther-sister or sister-sister relationship really exist to that extent as they are shown on Indian television such as Arnav-Anjali in IPKKND and others in different shows.

I have mixed views to be honest. I think a lot of it is exaggerated, the tears, the happiness...i mean real main kahan itna pyaar ata hai behan bhayon ko, u know? Like most of the time I have noticed that these super close siblings are mostly orphans like Arnav-Anjali so u can understand the closeness but then otherwise, it's just childish to show so much of love when in real there are mostly fights between the siblings at a certain age.

Edit: I have seen fights until the siblings are married. but once they are married, then they realise the importance of each other. tab to pyaar ka sense bhi banta hai...yahan to har roz aisa kartey hain jaisey pata nhain kitne din se miley hi na ho!

Arnav-Anjal do make a cute pair but then Anjali is too nosy and arnav too partial.

What is your POV about it? Plz have the comments coming in!

Correct I have always felt Arnav is a little too unfair to his wife saying meri Di ke liiye... All that any wife would feel hurt...and Anjali cannot open her eyes and see the cracks in her marriage but is trying to mend arhi relationship by hovering around their bedroom..go get a life girl.. Rather move out of your Maika..

Of course brothers-sisters or sisters-sisters fight

I always fight wid my elder bro (cousin)...n to dat extent dat v cn even kill each oder...bt at d end of d day v r brother-sister...he even goes n complains in my name n do all naughty things. The point is dat i luv my bro n for him i cn do anything...similarly he loves me too n for me he spends his own money just for me...he gives me 1st chance n protects me from every scoulding or v share d punishment...

Wen u luv a person, u cn do anything for him/her regardless weder its ur bro, sis, father, mother or even a bff!!

For eg: Arnav cn do naything for Anjali, aftr a point he wil do anything for Khushi...becuz he luvs bod of dem d most...

Bt for now arnav is being unfair wid Khushi...i mean khushi also did for payal...bt still😕😕

Agree agree..as far as Arnav-Anjali are concerned, they are grown ups and should behave like one. Behan bhai pyaar and parwa is a must but to a certain extent.Its h gh time they concentrate on their respective marital lives!

well in IPKKND in Arnav-Anjali we have 2 siblings who have gone through a horrible life changing even through which they lost the lives of most of their loved ones.. and they also probably barely saved their lives..
plus it seems that is when Anjali went through this physical handicap..

and Arnav's sole aim of life seems to be ensuring that the one last link to a life he cherished remains safe..
and anjali is so clingy cz that is all she has..
it is not a healthy relationship, but in their case i think it is more than realistic!

i have a younger brother and we share almost the same age gap like these 2.. so well ya i love my brother a lot too, cz he is the one thing i asked from my parents ever since i was 2 years old and whenever i saw a little boy i asked for a younger brother..n the only reason he is here is cz i wanted a brother as my parents had frankly no intentions to have a second child (lol as was told by amma)..
so well for me he is the one person i love most, definitely even more than my parents..for some reason that is like that for me..
and even with that, our relationship is not at all senti type like arnav-anjali..we r normal siblings who eat each other's head every so often and then miss each other when one is away and then again fight when we r together!! as we r growing in a tragedy free normal family..

see in IPK payal-khushi relationship is as natural as it can get..and therefore well i think IPKKND is showing reality as far as sibling bonds r concerned..

and as u spoke of TV in general i'll talk about EHMMBH too.. their Manvi-Jeevika relationship is also just more than what we naturally see. but there again they r orphans! and therefore whatever they show is justified..they depend on each other for every emotional need that should have been otherwise fulfilled by a range of other people..
and virat-viren relationship is just a every day relationship..in fact there r many times virat says to manvi that "i also love my brother a lot, but the way u love ur sister...not like that"

so well i don't think it is anything different, cz in a stable family environment with both parents u don't have just one person to depend on.. and wehn u have just one person, he/she becomes ur brother, sister, mother, father and every other thing to u..

BT I THINK IN CASE OF ARNAV DI IS HIS LIFE ...They both hav suffered alot in their young age...i think Di has lost her leg while saving Arnav frm some accident in their chilhood...so obviously Di comes first in his life!!!and also after mom's death Anjali had given him mom's love ,care etc in her young age!!

I agree with you to some extent, but then other relations also count in your family...

and i feel that in TV they promote too much extra love to show the sanskaar etc.

thanks! yes u right arnav is being unfair. but i feel the reactions portayed on TV are not always true.
