Sushpective: Saved by the last dialogue

Hola folks...I don't think you are expecting to hear this from me today...but I will keep the post short and let more positive reviews take over...because the episode today let me down...

So ...the episode started quite well...the intensity that was build up yesterday with Arnies accusations came full force...Khushi listened dumbstruck...not knowing how to react...

but then Arnie said his piece and walked away...WHAT????? Didn't he want to hear an answer...Didn't he have at least a little bit of doubt that may be just may be she has something to say...The scene when she falls on the floor crying ...was strong...but I fail to understand why did it last a mili second...WHAT THE F***?

Then at a moment when the directors had so much opportunity to show how hurt Khushi was...they COMPLETELY IGNORED the reaction by pretending that Khushi is pretending to act normal...Well NEWS FLASH...how you play "PRETENDING TO ACT NORMAL" is very different from "ACTING NORMAL" ...I was extremely disappointed for the CVs ans well as Sanaya to totally blow the opportunity...This is where the depth in character...the conflict in emoptions should be shown...a little secret thatthe audience is in and the actor playing it...but no else...instead we got this...a totally disconnected behavior...I am not impressed...

The car scene was better...but again before Arnie exploded ...I was searching for some expressions from Sanaya may be hidden from Arnie too that Khushi was deeply hurt...but there was NOTHING...Missed opportunity...

OK Finally the explosion and Arnie's attempt to push her to the limit to get a reaction out of her...to acknowledge the 10,000 lb gorrilla sitting in the room...finally worked...In this scene the CVs finally gave the opportunity for Sanaya to show Khushi's hurt ...which she did...with those red eyes...and hurt at having no stop to the accusations...

Arnie got it too...that finally he reached her at a place where it hurt...which is what he wanted to do because the insular behavior was driving him insane...

The final dialogue was well written...a glimspe of Khushi from the resignation scene...but then again...it was for a fraction of a second...

My conclusion...LM has to come back to avoid these missed opportunities...where the most important pieces are given miniscule amount of time on the screen...and everything else is shown at painstakingly great lengths...bad direction...thats all I can say...I can ignore a lot of things...bad logic, bad hair, bad clothes, but they can't show emotions in emotional scenes they way they deserve to be shown...I lose it...

Overall a well written episode...but unfortunately poorly directed...

I remember the scene after Diwali when Khushi tried to ignore reality and pretended nothing happened...but that was more believable...Today...it was disconnected...

Fantastic episode today. Loved it. Sanaya and Barun ruled. Special mention to excellent dialogues and cinematography today.

Terrace scene continues from yesterday - bottled up emotions in Arnav explodes and he spews harsh words at Khushi who is totally shell shocked to reply or respond. Arnav's hostile words that he will discard her after 6 months to a girl who was just about to give up her life for him a few minutes ago was a cruel blow. A small part of an eternally optimistic Khushi died today hearing those words. I liked the new RV and the way Arnav looked at her as he walks off, it was as though he wanted to see some verbal reaction from her.

Nice FB sequence to portray Arnav's conflicted emotions of mind vs heart. We were talking about the holi episode here in the Sushpective last night and it does not seem to be a lost cause as he remembers it. Khushi continues being her usual self, bewildering Arnav. Sanaya was amazing here, her smile was there but her eyes reflected Khushi's sadness. I can understand her trying to act as if everything was normal as she did not want to cause concern for anybody @ GH but Garima still caught the fact that something was not right.

As much upset Arnav is about Khushi he has learnt how good hearted the people in the GH are and it is reflected in his words while leaving the house as well as while yelling at Khushi on the bridge.

The open frank talk by the bridge - finally a place they cannot be disturbed. Even when he speaks those accusations at Khushi the jilted lover in him tones down and earnestly asks against hope "Did you not feel the need to explain to me?". Khushi's
response blew me away, each and every question she asked shocking him. "Ap hamari safai ke layak hi nahi" - this is the Khushi we love, one who does not cover and stands steadfast in her convictions and her beliefs. Sanaya rarely gets to display such emotions recently and she was absolute wonder to watch.

Finally we can all have a big Hurray as Khushi seems to get a new wardrobe now, courtesy precap (attire she wore during her UK trip) and ME snapshots!!

If Khushi were to ever contemplate a suicide, today would have been the day. A man she loved accused her of having an illicit affair with a married man, his jijaji All this time she was holding on to slightest hope, maybe someday he would treat her the way any husband would treat his wife, with love and respect. But today those hopes where crushed...The stars which meant so much to her lay scattered...She had so lovingly left for him...But she quickly gathers them up an indication that she will gather her life just as well...👏

His words were unforgivable; goes to show why he chose to never confront her with the truth. He had thought the worst of her...Benefit of doubt was always with Shyam coz he was blinded by the love he had for his sis

Like Anjali, he had essentially refused to believe that Shyam would cheat on his wife; it had to be Khushi, the temptress! If he fixed Khushi, Anjali's life would continue to be perfect...He could control Shyam by controlling his bank account. He was ascertaining his life's philosophy, money can buy anything...The only challenge is Khushi Kumari Gupta; only person who defies him...

Once his anger subsided he was torn. Like I maintained both remember their Holi confessions...She denied coz he denied...I saw a glimmer of hope...Like me, did he reserve the tiniest of hope that Khushi may have the perfect explanation?😊

Khushi's biggest mistake was hiding the truth and then shooting her mouth on the terrace. It is very difficult for him to come to terms with that hug and her words...There is no question she erred big time but today she didn't deserve such humiliation...

No amount of sweets could heal the bitterness - "Jitna meeta denge kum hi padega..."

That line spoke volumes; this is what her life has become... All because one man believed he could be God and decided to take matters into his own hands...An arrogant man who believed he could carve his own destiny with money and power crushing the hopes of an innocent life without giving her a chance...

Today I appreciated her emotional on/off switch even more...She took the battle right to him... He is not worth her tears nor was she going to shed any... The jabs were fabulous👏 - maybe you will buy me a new wardrobe...the neighbors have given plenty of gifts since they were seeing us for the first time since the wedding...The last straw was the picture, he couldn't take it anymore...

His parents are sacred to him, so are hers - "Tum kehti ho kay tumhare parents tarein baan gaye hai, tho kaise nazare milati ho? "

Like she knows how to get under his skin; he uses his ultimate barb, her parents. Anjali had once warned him that his words without much forethought could seriously hurt someone's feelings but today he could care less

The convenient hubby card - "Mujhe explain karna zaroori nahi samja?"

That is when he found the breakthrough reaction... She refuses to give the ultimate test for a girl...Safai to clear her name...👏 Just like he didn't care to tell her why he married her; she didn't owe him an explanation. She begged him, threatened to walk out, tried her childish pranks to irk him but all she got was more threats. Today her indifference mattered like it always has...Today he was her husband and expected answers...😕

I am my own woman -"Agar aap humhare bare mein itna ghatiya sochte hai tho aap humhare safai ke layak nahi hai. Uss raat safai kyun nahi maangi jis raat aapne humhare saath zabardasti shaadi ki thi"

The real Khushi rose today - she is not answerable to a man who had demeaned her by forcibly marrying her for 6 months... She wasn't the one to give the Agniparksha... Why should the burden be on her? She was going to walk away with her head held high...👏 Damn him, damn ASR...

Khushi is back; ASR's brain to return? Cautiously optimistic for #250...😉 Her defiance will make him want to believe her. He knows that side of Khushi only too well...The Khushi who has never backed from the truth...She defied him when she resigned; she defies him today...The softening of his voice indicated, he knows she is right, she has nothing to hide...

The queen is back!!!! Khushi!!! 🤗

First things first. CVs, AK, writers et all… 👏

Everything worked today. Amazing performances, amazing screenplay, dialogues and equally good direction. Everything was 👍🏼.

The episode began where it ended yesterday with Arnie spilling his guts and Man, there is a lot of wile there.

Tumhari himmat kaise hui mere Di ke zindagi se khelne ki.. maine tumse shaadi isiliye ki taaki mere di ki nanhi khushi ko iss khushi ki wajeh se koi nuksaan na ho,,,main di ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hoon...nafrat karta hoon mein tumse aur ab tum jaanti ho kyun… because you have no character.

Khushi could only stand there and listen.

Of course, he drops the bomb, throws away her stars and walks away, the walk of the righteous, head held high, searing her with a contemptuous look.

And Khushi just breaks down. His words going through her head as a wordy Rabba-ve song plays in the BG. Every word, every accusation he has furled at her going through her head, a spike through her heart as she finally cannot stand anymore and just slides down to the floor. Even the most Sanak conclusion she comes to when she connects the dots cannot match up to what the reality is. Which is that the man she loves, who is her everything thinks she is worst kind of woman. [Lovely shot of the stars and Khushi on the ground, both disrespected and dishonored].

Arnie boy, on the other hand, is at the GH verandah and having FB's of his own. Khushi describing her wedding to her friends, Khushi asking him why her heart beats faster when he is around [surprise, surprise, he remembers] and then of course, the terrace scene and the lie Shyam fed him. The last two drown every other thought he has. [Arnie shot on the verandah, nor inside nor outside, him pulled in two directions, lovely]

Khushi comes back and Arnie turns to her, expecting an explanation, an anger or guilt, something that will clear the confusion in him. Anything but what he gets – A very normal Khushi , smiling as usual and asking him to pack the stuff since they need to leave for RM. Arnie could just stand and stare at her in shock while Khushi does the airhead thing she does and continues to babble. A speechless Arnie could just finally mumble "kis mitti ki bani hai yeh"

Dear Arnav Singh Raizada, she is made of that mitthi that allows her to resurrect herself every time you grind her to the dirt. It's called Ash and from it, rises the phoenix…

Did I already mention how much I love this Khushi, the real Khushi .

This scene took me back to the Diwali scene

after he had announced his marriage to Lavanya. If there she pretended everything was fine for RM people, today she did it for GH. Arnie did not like it then and boy, he did not like it today. He wanted her to tell him what she really felt as he did back then. Khushi didn't give it to him then and she didn't give it to him today. Absolutely loved it!

But this time he wanted more than that. He wanted her to clear the confusion in his mind. He wanted the Khushi he had seen at Holi and the Khushi of the broken dreams. He wanted her to give her the words that would erase Shyam's words from his mind.He wanted her to spell out what his heart already knows. ASR has come a long way since diwali.

The farewell from GH was very well done. If Khushi gave the RM house a bollywood farewell, Arnie Boy gave a very succinct and endearing one.

"Aap logon se itna pyaar mila hai to chotte or bade se kuch farq nahi padta" 👍🏼 There is hope for you yet, Arnie boy. Buaji kissing his forehead and Amma touching his cheek again, very cute. Also loved how Amma knew something was not right with Arnie and how Arnie stopped at the door when Amma questioned Khushi about it. Loved it , Loved it.

In the car going home, Khushi talks to Anji on the phone and then starts with how happy she will be to see everyone again.

Nani, Di, Jiji, Jijaji
And Arnie goes "aur Shyam".
*ignore* Mamaji, laxmi ji, HP, Mamiji

She wants them to see the photo from the wedding.

And blast. Arnie loses it, stops the car, gets out, throws the photo frame away and swings her out of the car. Vintage ASR except today you just want to slap him on the head and beat some sense into him. NOWhe wants to talk...

Again, this scene was so reminiscent of the car scene from diwali where she is babbling about how everyone is happy about the engagement and he goes "oh really, toh tum khush ho?". Is it weird that I remember that scene shot by shot?? Just like then, he wanted her to show him her hurt, her anger and her truth. She didn't do it then and she didn't do it today.

Back then, he brought up the Payal to break her and today he brought up her parents. 😡

accha hua ke aaj ka din dekhne ke liye tumhare amma-babuji zinda nahi hai. Kaise nazar milati ho unse?

He went for the jugular, didn't he ? And that got to her.

Mere amma-babuji ke bare mein kuch nahi bolna

-- *clenched teeth, blazing eyes, the only thing missing was the shoulder grabbing and she would be ASR*

And Arnie was relieved, wasn't he?. To see an expected reaction as opposed to her being the "normal" Khushi. If ASR is Arnav's wall, then Khushi's wall is the "normal" Khushi. He blew it to pieces.

MUJHE explain karna zaroori nahi samjha.

*Tell me the truth*

The first time he said it, it was all ASR

.How could she not want to defend herself to ME? How dare she not explain herself to ME?

Kyunki tum jaanti ho ki tum galat ho

The second time he said it, it was Arnav making a plea to his love. Give me something, anything to believe in, anything but what your silence says. Because your silence means it is all true. What I accused you of is right

And this is one time Arnav Singh Raizada DOES NOT want to be right. Loved it.

And where ASR's pointed jabs didn't work, Arnav's plea did. Because even if ASR couldn't see the truth, Arnav should have.

And she gave it back to him. Oh, she gave it back to him. Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada got her own "Frankly, I don't give a damn what you are entitled to" moment and darn, did she live it!!

Oh, to aap humse safai chahte hain?...jo insaan humare baarein mein itni ghatiye soch rakh sakta hai use hum hamari safai ke layak nahi samajte...aapko aapki soch Mubarak ho... yeh safai aap humse ab kyun maang rahe hai??...uss din kyun nahi maangi jis din aapne humse zabardasti shaadi ki..."

Absolute gold!! This is a scene that will go into EPIC scenes collection.

And wonders of wonders, he didn't expect that at all. It was all about his betrayal for him, even when he wanted to be not true. He never thought she would feel betrayed by his lack of trust and his assumptions.

Why didn't he ask her as soon as he found out???

And so tomorrow, when she does tell him all, it will be his turn to ask

Why didn't you tell me as soon as you found out???

And our dear lovers are actually communicating, even if it is biting each others heads off on a bridge. and it took what, just 11 months???? YAY...

PS: Shyam has a plan. *FINALLY*

PPS: The movement from the Terrace (revelation) to the bridge (crossover) was nicely done and the point is noted. Truth is revealed under the open skies of the terrace and they are now on a bridge that connects two paths. 😉 My optimism that the CVs might surprise us continues from yesterday.

PPPS: "...ya aap humen naye kapde laakar denge?" 😊 and the new dress in the precap. Can you blame me for the optimism??

I understand your frustration Sush, even I was surprised to see Khushi acting normally given what happened but then I realized this is true to her character. Khushi was at home, she could not take the chance of anyone noticing her pain so she did what she does best and covered it with a fake smile and a lot of talking which got Garima suspicious but Khushi quickly quieted her.

Ok guys the MU is here to stay or atleast some mutated version of it. That's right it's now a full blown character that probably gets royalties for it's usage!

The confrontation scenes were brilliant. Those that felt that the intensity was missing in Barun/Arnav yesterday should hopefully be satisfied with ASR's reappearance. The intensity of hate was there to be seen for sure. But what was absolutely beautiful to see was that even after believing the worst of her and loathing her to the extreme he still can't stop loving her. He does not wait to hear her explanations but cannot bear that she does not want to offer any. Barun was excellent with the intense hate switching into the low pitched almost plea with Mujhe explain karna zaroori nahin samjha- LOVEd LOVED that!!

His words to Khushi were as merciless and hurtful as it gets but the CVs are bent upon inflicting more pain before starting the healing it seems.

Why ASR didn't probe into this before marrying Khushi? Why he does not think Shyam is characterless? I hope the CVs have some convincing explanations for these.

The redemption track if we ever get there will be spoilt for choice of FBs to replay on Arnie's brain. I say anything to get that terrace FB and Khushi's "chhod dijiye anjaliji ko" out of his messed up brain. Is there anyway for them to beep out those words?? Everytime I hear them I feel dizzy and nauseated so can only imagine what havoc they wreak in Arnav's war-zone of a brain😲

And Khushi being all chatty and "normal"- thank goodness she gave the explanation for that later even if i did not find it convincing. I swear when that bit was going on (and it was stretched a bit much) I thought I had entered the wrong date to watch the epi on YT coz it made no sense at all🥱

Nice touch with the GH ladies sensing all was not right. Arnav's goodbye to them- very sweet and thank heavens he showed that decency and ability to de-link Khushi and the GH folks.

Nice to see Khushi's feisty turn as he goads her with below the belt talk about her parents. Is this trait here to stay or a flash in the pan? I fear it may be the latter..😕

I am interested to see the Arnav-Khushi-Shyam interactions in the backdrop of the reveal and esp as Shyam is unaware of all that has transpired.

So Anjali continues to be bump- free!! They should seriously consider not showing her till she is 'showing'. As it is every time she does the la-la shake of her head as creep feeds her another load of crap, I want to rattle her and shake some sense into the pea brain.

Oh and that new rabba ve- didn't work for me. The old instrumental version esp the piano version rocks!

All in all after Monday's build up they could have done a better job with Tuesday but I liked it and hoping Wednesday will bring in the right momentum...this week looks good!

Thanks for making the post, i loved the episode today.

BRILLIANT is all I can start with today! The big revelation not only lived up to my expectations but totally exceeded them. Loved it all, the performances, the dialogues, the intensity and even the new rabba ve..

Barun's outburst in the beginning was fantastic, his aggression, disgust, despair came across beautifully. I'm glad he spilled it out clearly for her from his thoughts on her deceit to him and his family to the fact that he did this to protect his Di and her unborn child. He has been carryong the burden too long and i'm glad he let it all out. His words about Khushi having no character must have hit her hard and though I was initially upset she did not say a word in the end it was a brilliant move to resort to silent treatment. I loved Arnav's smirk when he looks at Khushi's face and thinks she is putting up a show; perfectly in character for him. Her breakdown and the rabba ve lyrics totally broke my heart.

I liked the entire GH sequence as well. Arnav's FB's including Khushi's holi confession and his statement "kis mitti ki bani hai" left me confused. If he remembers holi, then there has got to be some serious confusion and doubt in him and I think there is more to Arnav than meets the eye. Why else would they show him having the holi FB at this stage when they have never included it in the FB's before? The FB scenes I think portrayed his inner turmoil and confusion very well. Plus his entire reaction and confusion to how she can behave as if nothing happened and put up her fake smile, was brilliantly portrayed by both. I totally loved his "Don't bullshit me Khushi"😉. I am so going to miss Arnav's bonding with Buaji and Amma. I loved the genuine warmth and affection they share and the bidaai scene was really sweet.

Finally the best scene was the bridge one where he frustrated by her silence and show of chirpiness questions her again. He says "tumne mujse discuss karna zaroori nahi samjha", again makes me feel he was hurt and was hoping for her to clear his doubts to prove him wrong..Khushi was brilliant when she stands up for herself and up to him to say that if he can think so poorly of her she does not owe him an explanation👏👏. The parents comment was way below the belt and probably the worst thing he could have said to her, no wonder the lioness in her arises to put to rest his doubts. It was an awesome move by the CV's and very enacted by Sarun. From the latest segment seems like Arnav may believe her because he justifiably asks her that if she knew what a creep Shyam is why did she not say anything to him or his Di, why did she continue to let his Di worship this devil. I'm super excited about the continuation of the ridge scene tomorrow and the precap looks very promising. Shyam is much needed to keep up the momentum and now Khushi will observe the changed equation between Arnav and Shyam. The changing dynamics between these 3 will be very interesting to watch esp. since Shyam does not know of the latest face off between ARHI. IPKKND is back with a bang and I'm so glad for this terrific Tuesday episode👏👏

Sush i completely agree with you, the scenes are bit rushed. But i am happy 2day, because finally we got to see the lost Grace in Kushi's character, which is exactly equal to Arnavs's ego. The story is tight, but with a bad direction.

Well, i loved the words in the new rabbave explaining Kushi pain asking " why there is so much of pain in your love" loved it. Barun and Sanaya are good in intense scenes. I loved this episode a lot after Feb 14th, which has everything but felt bit rushed.

Sush, this new director is not good in showing the message, but is good at brain, where as LM is a perfectionist in delivering the moments.

I feel so sorry for the production house, as actors are not co-operating, when they need to deliver there real story line. Hope this absence of Barun may bring our lost Kushi.

P.S. Today's cinematography and new rabbave wordings are really good. Not to forget, the dialogue writer has to get my 👏

Watched the epi twice today once by myslef and later with my friend so i could translate for her lol..anyway

Hi Sush and Spicegirls!! I liked the epi there were some ups and downs for me but overall i liked it!!

I liked the intensity that was there in the first scene but like you Sush i didnt like how khushi disnt get to speak her part there..but i guess that was done so they could include the new rabba ve..which i liked although the initial music with the rabba ve was a bit weird but i liked the lyrics especially dard in my ishq one lol.. Also i liked the way arnav walked away and turned to look at her reminded me of old days...

And ok then the next scene with Arnav's fbs yay finally the holi flashback..i guess there they really teied to show his conflicted emotions about her innocence he wants to believe it yet he cant.

ok then khushi behaving all normally..i agree Sush didnt like it much and was quite surprised.but i can only justify it by the fact that she doesnt want her family to sense anything is wrong not the day that they are leaving for RM..

Ok then the leaving scene i really liked aarnavs interation with the Gupta family..seriously he is soo awesome with them and has developed suh a great bond..

Then the car scene..loved how he tried to instigate her bu mentioning shyam and he ignored and then omg when he broke the frame i was soo sad!

The confrontation was great..loved how khuhi lost it when he mentioned her parents really he crossed the line there as that is a very sensitive isue for Khushi..i loved Arnavs dialogue when he said softly khushi tumhe mujhe kuch explain nahi karna..i felt he really wanted to hear her say althat none of it was true but at the same time he doesnt even care about her side when she speaks according to sbbb when he will say that she is making up stories..so y are u asking anyway arnav?! Sigh..but i loved Khushi's strong response that he doesnt owe him an explanation not when he thinks so low of her..

Ahh bak to RM days with the snake and bakri shud be some intereting scenes...
Waiting for my classes and finals to end so i can enjoy the ride!
