Didn't really mind the episode though felt that the confrontation scene lacked the intensity that it should have had! For a serial where the lynchpin is the MU and the angst that Arnav carries because of that, I though the reaction was quite thanda!
Just a thought - Khushi needs Arnav as much as he needs her and its really him who understands her as much as she understands him! Just as Arnav is lonely and not understood even though he is surrounded by family in RM, so is Khushi. No one, not even her Bauji understood her sadness and her farewells when she was leaving. They are so used to sanka devi's sanak that they dont look beyond the obvious! The only one who did was Arnav - the moment he walked into the room, he figured there was something amiss. Loved that touch!
Mercifully Khushi's suicide attempt was not OTT but I thought it was designed to and intended to, maybe subconciously, to figure if Arnav really cares for her not. Or rather, based on the belief that he would come to her, to save her! Her procastinating about jumping, finding reasons why she couldn't, waving to/directing Arnav to let him know where she was - and he did not dissapoint her!
Loved the little interaction about Lavanya - so remniscent of a typical, in love, committed, husband and wife! Khushi almost throwing a tantrum as she petulantly and in a resigned manner, tells him that she wouldn't come in his way, that she knows he loves Lavanya while she... hoping that he will correct her, and, he doesn't fail her! He assures her that he never loved Lavanya and never wanted to marry her. Just the kind of interaction I would expect between a couple having a fight over the husband having given another woman attention - one seeking and the other giving assurance. ANother idication of how comfortable they have grown with their relationship and acceptance of the marriage that exists between thm no matter how flawed it may be.
Here is where I thought the CVs slipped. While initially Arnav would've thought that this was another of Khushi's prank and his reaction would be one of exasperation and irritation, I thought once he figured that she appeared serious, he would be terror striken. For, no matter what she has done, he loves her and the thought of loosing her should be terrifying. For a man who gets worried when he banged the door shut on her finger, who lied so that she would not feel terrible about his fainting due to lack of food, he was surprisingly , simply perturbed!
Loved the little touch of Arnav holding on to Khushi and not letting her go, if only for a moment, till Khushi started to struggle. The only indication of how affected he was, how terrified he was at the thought of loosing her. Also an indication of the fact that when the time comes, he will want to hold on to her, but she will chose to go!
I would have expected more angst from him but Arnav's reaction was thanda. This is a man of violent and strong emotions - ruthless, hard and unrelenting. He has just prevented the love of his life, who has accused him of having an affair, who he thinks has had an affair, from jumping to certain death - I would have expected yelling, screaming, or quiet rage with words that castigated her, would rip Khushi apart, but que sera sera...
My only hope is that they do not revert back to comedy after this esp not with the Payal, Mami and Bubbly track! Faith I have not come across another child artiste who is so irritating, and its entirely the CVs fault. Plus to show a grown woman running pillar to post to appease both a mom-in-law and a 9 year old, does not make for either good comedy or good taste!

@Pam: Loved your analysis, esp the random thought below.

"Wonder how free Arnav will feel tomorrow after he tells all. If nothing else, he will be able to sleep peacefully as he knows his wife will at least not trouble him for sometime with her OTT behavior 😉"

Was thinking the same, some moments for him to breathe before the guilt waves hit him with full force.

Hi tanthya, doods. After a long time logged on. I have been watching this serial on a off-on basis. More off than on! 😃 Saw the promos that truth will be out so made myself watch it. It was kinda OK but could have been a lot better.

I would have really liked if Arnav would have blurted out the truth when Khushi was still on the ledge. She would have been shocked to hear 'shyam' and could have turned, stumbled and fallen onto Arnav's arms. First scene(ramp one) reloaded!😳 That would have been better than the sudden blackout and then both of them lying on floor few metres away from the ledge defying all laws of motion, momentum etc! 😛

Also Arnav's demeanour was more of confused exasperation rather than the terrifying fear of losing her(The ambulance scene was better).

Doodhs arent you brilliant!?? 👏👏👏 Bringing Keats into the whole analysis and merging it with the Heer Ranjha act and Khushi's dialogue - beautiful! 👏 👏 Infact you know - I have never felt that it would be trust that would separate Khushi from Arnav - but it will be love always and you have explained it superbly well! 😳 I loved the connection and the paradox that you have brought in when you have explained the brightest star thing!
Also I would like to add - I remembered you when Khushi said " Aap ne ek baar humse pooch liya hota... " I remember you mentionsing the same thing once in your analysis!
Fantabulous as usual!!

ik pagal pagal si larki...
dil toornay se darti thi...
har pal har lamha khud se woh jhagarti thi...
ansoo kiun aye kisi ankh
main mujrim khud ko samujhti thi...
ghuut ghuut k jeeti rehti thi...
har sans ulajhti rehti thi...

khushi is da girl who never thought for herself but others happiness. never wanna hurt any one un intentionally or intentionaly but gives comforts intentionally. how can she thinks she hurt da person she love most (arnv)?

People have a right to ask questions and dig deep when you're hurting people and things around you.

yeah when some 1 hurt u without telling da reason its ur right to ask . why u did this n khushi
' right to ask 4rm arnav why he married her that way which is most hurting thing 4 her. but what she got ...

Har ek lamha naya ik imtehan hai,
bohut na-meharban yeh aasman hai,

Dilon per barf girti ja rahi hai,
Badan ka tajziya bhi raiga hai,

main us say baat karna chahti hon,
batao to sahi woh ab kahan hai,

Anaa ki rait shamil ho gayai hai,
Hawa say guftugu ab raigan hai,

Mujhey is ka yaqeen hargiz nahi tha,
Meri janib say itna badguman hai...

Tanthya,

What an apt title!! Imthihaan is what these two lovers will always have to give, imthihaan of love, imthihaan of trust and imthihaan of time. Today was just one example but there are many more to come. One day the tests will end, they will unite and that will be the day to rejoice.

**Will wait for your update**

Below is my analysis

From past few weeks we are seeing the war has been staged, the players have been set and in Tanthya's words, the "vaner sena" has been appointed. But every war, every conflict, every fight needs a trigger. The trigger is what I have been seeing in the past few episodes:

Shyam:The trigger for Shyam was his ego. No man likes to be thought of a person who lives off his wife's money and Arnav through his actions has unintentionally created situations that have resulted in hurting Shyam's ego. But this was not Arnav's intention. Arnav had given Shyam a second chance. He was not sure if Shyam was with Anjali for her money, none of Shyam's actions previously had indicated this. In fact he had come across as a person who took pride in his own earnings. Arnav wanted Shyam to change and start taking care of his wife and child, emotionally, loyally and financially. Hence he took measures that would put Shyam loyalties at test.

But the reality is way different from what Arnav envision. Shyam is with Anjali only for money and by cutting out his sources, by making Shyam realize his dependency on Anjali, Arnav has unintentionally hurt his ego thus giving rise to circumstances that will result in that attack from Shyam which will commence this war from his side. Shyam is cunning who also has a strong presence of mind but not a long vision. His plans have always been short-termed, plans that were always created to fulfill short term goals. Plus he has one very bad habit, his need to boast, his need to self-appreciate. Currently, he is hurt, he is hyper and he is planning but will he be successful in his plans or will his actions results in his downfall, a downfall that will result in an enemy that he has never faced because that enemy will realize that he has been fooled once, only time will tell.

Khushi: Emotions can be controlled but how long can they be suppressed. Khushi is one person who has been in dark since Day 1. She faced the storm, she survived the storm but she has no idea about its reason and from that day she is been struggling to find the reason. She knew there was a reason, she was witnessing the emotional up and down, Arnav was putting himself through and in turn putting herself through. She used all the means in her arsenal to find out the reason. She used anger, blackmail, irritation, silence, love but none of her tactics worked and the more she failed the more desperate she became. Desperation can make you do anything believe anything and Khushi started grasping at straws. Thus even knowing Arnav does not believe in God, she thought he believed in Kundli and wanted to kill her because of that.

She is a person who acts and thinks later and his has always been her downfall. Today, this trait of her and her active illogical imagination took her to the rooftop. She did not think for a moment how her actions will affect her family, she did not think for a moment how illogical her thinking was, she did not think for a moment about the consequences or the effects her actions will have in the long run. she was set on a course and she decided to act on it. Today she was only thinking of Arnav. Does this ring a bell? YES, she did today exactly what she did then. That time too she thought only of Arnav and Anjali, she did not think of her family or the impact it might have in future on Payal, or the impacts it will have on Anjali and Arnav themselves in the long run. She thought she was right, and that was it. She thus set up a chain of events that resulted in the destruction of her dreams and none other that person whom she was protecting in the first place.

Today again she was reacting without thinking. She was not listening to reason, she was not listening to logic, she was only thinking of Arnav not realizing how her actions were impacting him, how her actions were affecting him, how she was hurting the person for whom she was sacrificing her life. At that moment, she was thinking of no one, she though she was right in her conclusion and that was it. Thus again she set up a about a chain of events which will result in nothing but destruction of her trust, destruction of her love and again by the same person for whom she was killing herself, sacrificing her love. This was her trigger.

Arnav Singh Raizada, the person who commenced, attacked and conquered the war, the person who in one strike changed the whole game. This person who should be sitting in his high office and watching the game he set in motion all those months back but, alas, he is fighting a war within himself, a war between his intelligence and emotions or as all Reduxians say, the Mind-Heart war. He should have been the one with no worries but he is the one who has been going through the biggest emotional turmoil since his marriage and thats because his mind keeps telling him one thing and his heart another. He is not a person who believes in emotion and till date he has been able to control his emotions and hence every time, he has been able to take that step back and ensure that he does not give into the innocence that his minds knows is deceiving.

But today was different. Today, for him history was repeating. There was that day when his mother who was his world had committed suicide and today, there was this girl, who unknowingly had become his life, was doing the same. He had beared the hurt once but he knew he did not have strength to bear it again. That day he could not save his mother, but today he was not going to let his girl die. Thus in those few moments, he went through an emotional roller-coaster ride and in that emotional overload he disclosed secrets he would have never spoken about in his sane mind. He the person who never explains but he was so out of control that he gave explanations just to stop his girl from jumping.

He saved her but the inevitable happened. Arnav Singh Raizada became angry. Anger and Arnav are bad; Arnav, anger and out-of control emotions is the most dangerous combination. Things would have been different if Khushi would have backed off but she was in her own emotion-high and thus she did the unthinkable. She succeeded in unleashing the dam he had kept locked down for so long. She succeeded in reopening the wound that has been festering inside Arnav since that fateful day and she is going to pay for her mistake. Tomorrow she is going to get the unfiltered version of his pent-up thoughts, feelings, and emotions. She is going to hear the unadulterated truth and that is going to stagger and stun her, it will enough to kill her innocence and her trust in that love, the love which had lead her to the rooftop today. I just hope she has the strength to bear the truth, the whole truth which also includes the actual feelings of the person for who she was going to give her precious life.

Message for Khushi:

Aap unse pyaar karte hain aur hum...

Why Why Why, didn't you complete this sentence? Don't you know the person standing in front of you does not understand emotions, cannot read them and cannot recognize them. He needs everything in black and white. He needs to hear the words. Do you know, not for one second he believed that you were talking about him, he thought you were talking about his brother in law, that you loved that creep and not him. Your incomplete sentence again made him believe that your love is not for him. Again, you made things difficult for you. Again, you dug a hole for yourself. Now even if you bang your head on the wall, he is not going to believe you when you tell him the truth. Well I guess you are not at fault, you could not complete the sentence because the CV's did not give you permission, right? Don't worry there always the next time...

PS:

Today first time I felt that Sanaya outdid Barun. For some reason, I felt he did not come across with his intensity, with his panic or may be it is because he has set the standards so high that the comparison was his downfall. But, boy, am I glad he is going on a break. Hopefully, the PH use this time to convince us that Khushi does have feelings for Arnav and not turn it into an another OTT session.

Random Thoughts:

Wonder how free Arnav will feel tomorrow after he tells all. If nothing else, he will be able to sleep peacefully as he knows his wife will at least not trouble him for sometime with her OTT behavior 😉

Loved it Pam! 👏
And even I think Sanaya outdid Barun yesterday! Something was definitely amiss in Barun! But both could have been even better - lets see what happens tomorrow!
I cannot wait to see the after - reaction on Arnav and Khushi after both come back from this confrontation! 😉

Good morning people 🤗

@Doods: Awesome analysis, as usual 🤗... Loved the part where you have spoken about Khushi leaving Arnav, not because of mistrust, but for LOVE

@Anna: Lovely analysis dear 🤗... After a very very long time both Arnav and Khushi have made it to your fav list ⭐️

@All: Was I the only one who felt Barun was actually convincing in his performance yesterday? Comparing yesterday's scene with that of ambulance would be a lil unfair, I guess... The situations are pretty different.. Then, it was his first realization of his love and how much she means to her... but here he didnt have time to stand for a moment and think what was happening.. Even after reaching terrace, he was confused about the entire situation to show the fear of losing her... His expressions in last 5 mins were perfect for me... The anger that we re expecting will be seen in today's episode...

What was lacking for me in yesterday's episode was 'INTENSITY'... I always think that it's the responsibility of the director to use his actors to create a beautiful scene.. and yesterday it was the director that was at fault for first 10 odd minutes... A comic background to a 'SUICIDE' scene ? Arnav is running in the terrace to reach Khushi and there too you have a comic score in the background !! This episode didnt need comic element at all.. All it needed was intensity and plain intensity...
The moment the intensity would come up, it would be followed by some silly stuff.. IT was only in last 10 minutes, that the intensity was INTACT...

Sanaya was convincing in every scene 👏... She can handle serious scenes.. time to give her the same...

Yes both Arnav and Khushi made into the list - because Khushi's hurt and pain was quite visible to my eyes and Arnav because of his regret and guilt.
Coming to Barun - I wont compare it with the ambulance scene but he could have been better. In the end scene he was good - I liked him but when khushi was about to jump off I would have liked to see something more. Sanaya however was very very good. She is too screechy is comedy scenes - and I like her more in emotional scenes
Intensity - Yes - definitely lacks! Something has been missing from both of them and I do not see much in that! Intensity has to be there or it would mess up whatever we love of them.
