What a title, when I saw the title - I was trying to understand what it means exactly like Anna, I had read umpteen Harlequin romantic novels during college days but never knew the meaning (typical me). Why is ASR able to jell with Gupta ladies than his own home members?

ASR in RM is a man who provides them sustenance and comforts of living. It is an obligatory duty, therefore, activities happening at home - they just inform him or when the time comes, he finds it. Though he never approves it but relents to their demands and happiness.

Note the difference - they inform him not consult him. E.g. When Khushi was appointed for Lavaya's orientation. He was not informed at all. Anjali knew very well that Khushi and her chotte do not get along. Still she pursued.

Shyam Manohar Jha, I always named him "Invisible giant" - the structure of the character is colossal but still he is invisible - that is the beauty. When I understood that Harlequin means a "Joker" though it is logic to think Anjali as a joker. For me "joker' suits Shyam Manohar Jha and his ace is Anjali Jha.

Have you ever noticed the role of a joke in a circus, superficially, we as children knew that he makes us laugh. We become euphoric at the very sight of him, cheering him to the core. In de-facto, the clone is aware of every activity of the circus troops. He does cycling, gymnastics, juggling with ease and keeps the comic sense upfront. It is not an easy task to be a joker.

Shyam Manohar Jha qualities :

Had the temerity to engage Khushi despite having Anjali as his wife.

He had compassion to understand the financial problem of the gupta and entered their forte

Maneuvering skill to win the heart of a rich girl Anjali despite not loving her.

His panache to keep pace with his brother-in-law Arnav though lacking the financial sheen.

Finally, he still had the audacity to proclaim his extra-marital affair to ASR.

The man knew the rules of the game and has all the winning combination to emerge as a winner - what he lacks is integrity.

Doods : I remember the scene vividly of the house of Anjali and brother not very much interested of leaving his sister alone. Shyam has no reason to go through the grind because, no way will ASR allow his sister alone with Shyam any more.

Why Shyam did do this to Anjali?

Well all knew that Shyam wants to be with RM - but why did he endanger her life? We all witnessed Anjali - a warm and helping hand person on the other side of the coin. Anjali can never take "no" for an answer. Despite her physical impediment - she will exhibit the strength to make people do what she wants.

She is more challenging than her brother ASR is. Being the single daughter of RM made her stubborn and adamant. She makes sure her decisions are complied , every document at home is stamped by her, approach can be subtle but she does it. This is called tactics. The cheque-giving scene to the bankers highlighted her position and power.

Shyam knew that she will never listen to him, so he took the other route, though it was challenging, it was worth it.
