Coffee
"Hai re Nandkishore! Ye titaliya na jane kahaan bhaagi jaawat hai! Jab bhi dekho. Jaise kono bhootni uske pichche pade ho!" exclaimed Buaji, watching her Sanka Devi run out of the house yet again, early in the morning. "Arre Payaliya! Tu kahaan chali?". Apparently Payal had decided to run after her little sister. Hai re Nandkishore! Ka jodi hai!
"Suno! Tum kahaan bhaagi jaa rahi ho? Mera bhi intezaar karo! Mujhe dukaan jaana hai!!", Payal screamed as she ran after Khushi.
What chance did Payal stand, against her nimble-footed pixie of a sister, who had just jumped into an auto?

Hey Devi Maiyya! Hume wahaan se bina pakde bachane ke liye bahut dhanyawad! Agar Jiji hamare saath aati, toh Laad Governor toh khoon kar dete kisi ka!
"Madam, aapko kahaan jaana tha?" the auto driver asked the out-of-breath, but extremely pretty girl sitting in his auto.
"Bhaiyya, hume jitni jaldi ho sake, Indian Coffee House pahuncha dijiye!" she panted.

Meanwhile, at the Indian Coffee House
"Sir, would you like to order something?", the waiter was annoyingly, insistently asking the young man, dressed in a three-piece suit.
"I will. When the person I'm waiting for gets here. And if you ask me one more time, I will not be responsible for what I do. Got it?" the man dead-panned to the waiter, while giving him a deathly glare.
"Na jaane kahaan kahaan se aa jaate hai aise namune. Woh bhi subah subah. Din hi kharab shuru karwa diya na mera..." the waiter, walked away, muttering to himself.
The man, looked so out of place. Checking the time every few minutes (on the lastest TagHeuer watch that adorned his wrist), he was glaring at the door. It was apparent that he was waiting for someone, and that he was unaccustomed to waiting.
Suddenly. His head snapped up from his watch, almost as if he'd been called.
There she was. And my, oh, my. She was a vision. In her red anarkali suit, with those little pom-poms attached to the doris holding her suits backside together. And those hands filled with matching bangles. And those jhumkas on her ears.
Every step she took towards the man was music to his ears.
"Ji... Aapne humein itni jaldi mein kyun bulaya? Kuch ho gaya kya?" she asked, slightly worried.
He was quite dazed. Here she was. He should be annoyed with her for making him wait. But, who could blame him? She was simply dazzling. He couldn't even remember why he'd called her here!
"Woh...main... tumse kuch baat karni thi...Kuch – " he started off, but was cut off by the waiter.
"Sir, aap ab toh kuch order karenge na?"
"What the...!"
"Yes! Two coffees – one black, without sugar..." said the girl.
"And one with two spoons sugar, and one spoon cream, with milk." said the man.
"Thank you, Sir, Ma'am!"
"Aap kuch keh rahe the..."
"Tum yahaan kaise aayi?"
"Woh...hum auto se aayein..." came the sheepish reply.
"Tumhein kitni baar bataoon, ki tum meri gaadi bulaa sakti ho!"
"Haan... Aur hum Amma-Buaji se kya kehtien? Ki hamaare Laad Governor ki hukum hai, ki unki begum auto se nahi chal sakti? Aap bhi na!"
"Begun se yaad aaya mu – "
"Ma'am, your black coffee. Sir, your coffee..." the waiter had interrupted yet again.
"Okay. That is it. Don't come back here. Till I call you. Got it?" the young man glared at the waiter, till he walked away.
"Yeh lijiye. Aap ka black coffee... Aur hamari cheeni waali coffee idhar de dijiye!" the girl said.
"Suno! Bahut ho gaya. Tum apni coffee baad mein pee lena. Ab meri baat dhyaan se suno. Tum mujhse shaadi kar rahi ho, smjhi tum? Jitni jaldi ho sake."
"Arre! Yeh bhi koi tareeka hua propose karne ke?"
"Maine propose nahin kiye, tumhe bataaya."
"Hum nahin karenge aap se shaadi."
"Jaise main tumhe koi choice de raha hoon."
"Yeh dekho! Shaadi humse karni hai. Par khud decision le rahe ho? Ye kya baat hui?"
"Atleast main tumhe bataa toh raha hoon! Mere Di, Nani, Mami aur Mama ab tumhare ghar mein hain. Umhara haath maangne gaya hain, mere liye." He smirked.
"Arnav Singh Raizada! Hume aap se yeh umeed nahin thi! Aapne humein bina bataye, bina pooche apne parivaar ko sab kuch bataa diya?"
"Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada. Agar maine unhe poori baat batayi hoti, toh woh haat maange nahi, apni bahu ko sasuraal le jaan aate!"
"Aapne yeh kya kar diya? Jiji ki shaadi nahi hui hai! Isi liye to humne aap se kahaa tha ki hamari shaadi ki baat kisi ko pata nahi chalni chahiye! Par aap kisi ki baat kyun maanenge? Hum aapke lagte hi kaun hai, ki aap hamari baat mane? Aap ko hamare parivaar ki, uske izzat ki koi fikar nahi hai! Aaap toh hamari bhi fikar nahin karte. Aap ko toh sirf kaam, Di aur – "
He had silenced her with his lips. Her eyes widened. And he broke the kiss. She stayed silent.
"Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. Tum kabh mujhe baat karne ka mauka dogi?"
She nodded mutely.
"Di meri shaadi kisi Lavanya Kashyap se tay karane waali thi. Aur maine unse kahaa ki main kisi se pyaar karta hoon...Aur ki woh tum ho."
"Par...Jiji..."
" Akash Payal se pyaar kara hai. Aur. Aaj, tumhare ghar mein do-do rishton ki baat chal rahi hai. Agar Payal ne haan kar di toh."
"Eee!!!!!"
Khushi jumped into Arnav's lap, and gave him a tight hug, and showered his face with tiny kisses.
"Aapko pata hai...Hum isi liye aap se pyaar kartein hain!"
"Kyunki main tumhari behen ke liye rishta bhijwa raha hoon?"
"Nahiii... Kyunki aap hamare har ek choti se badi ichcha poori karte hain! Humne kaha ki hum Lucknow mein shaadi karna chahte the, toh aapne jhoote fashion show ka bahaana banaa ke wahaan le gaye. Humne aadhi raat ko jalebi maangi, toh aapne manwaaya. Aap na...bade – "
Again silenced by a kiss.
Except this kiss was a lot more passionate, and went on for quite some time.
Only to be interrupted by the waiter.
"Sir. Here's your bill. Please take this outside."
Arnav glared at him, and threw down a 500 rupee note, and stormed out, dragging Khushi by her hand.
