If he has signed a film, no matter what his role he will have to leave TV... specially a daily soap... film guys feel daily TV actors are over exposed... and hence for them to suit a role they must come out of the TV screen persona.. else people will not accept them in their film role... so most Tv actors specially lead actors have to take a break from TV...specially a daily soap...
I just hope they clear the misunderstanding before he quits... I can;t bear to see any other actor in this role going through the guilt track.. he has to go through that

Hope Barun really gets a chance to work in AK Productions😃 if he is shooting 8hrs for IPK and rest for movie, it can not be a lead role unless he is shooting another 10-12hrs. This news gave me mixed feelings.. on one hand bollywood needs actors like barun and on the other we have to manage with body double, less barun on ipk, less sarun interviews, less offscreen masti and will have to c him with another female actor😕 i am so used sarun yaar. only if he had chosen movies after completing IPK😳

Actually it all depends on the role they are playing. If it is the main lead then yes they may need to quit but if it is not the main lead then they may go on with their shows simultaneously.
Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy are both doing roles in Karan Johars Student of the Year but neither has quit their current television show. Ronit is still working on Adalat and Ram is playing the main lead in Bade Acche Lagte Hain.
So it all really depends. From the sounds of it Barun is already shooting for the film and is managing giving IPK 8 hrs a day which is a significant amount.. So it does not seem like its the main lead.
But lets just wait and watch what happens.

if he is already shooting for the film and doing the show too then it is obviously not a lead role... it is a character role.. which is kinda of sad because i do not want to see him as the hero 3rd or 4th friend or something...Ram Kapoor played a russian villian in one film and rich uncle in another... i do not want to see Barun in those kind of roles..
anyway whatever happens the production house needs to stop dragging their feet and give clear this misundestanding track and start the guilt track. i will feel super cheated if Barun/ASR does not do the guilt track..

I think keeping in mind the Viewers feelings - where they only want Barun to do the redemption track - SP may wrap up this show early.

Oh well, another one bits the dust - time to keep our chins up, and find another show to fixate upon !!!
