hmm..i think he dreamed too...except his dreams were not clear or formulated as hers were..
the moment he realized he loved her..the moment he realized he had to confess and tell her how she means to him, that was the moment he started dreaming for the first time since he was 16..

i don't think he knew he wanted marriage..but he knew he would do anything to keep her in his life...to make her the most important part of his life..and in turn he knew he'll make her the happiest bride alive when he marries her and makes her fully his..

so he did dream..less defined..yet he dreamed just like her..and cz of Shyam and his own mistrust and impatience he broke not only hers but his dreams too..

Rima awesome post..u have raised v interesting questions'

Thinking of Arnav and his past like I think love was his vulnerability. Whatever happened with his parents erased the concept of love from his life. Love according to him did not exist and if it did, he saw it as weakness.

I think the time when he thought Khushi met with an accident he had to face the truth that the very thing he was running from was had caught him hook, line, and sinker. I feel knowing khushi and her belief in marriage he would not be willing to confess his feelings if he hadn't thought of marrying her'because even in his anger after the terrace scene he was extremely cognizant of the fact that only a marriage can bind her to him

Therefore, I think maybe he did not have dreams of a fairy tale wedding but he did dream of love, of sharing himself/his life with her.

yes he wanted to be a part of her life. even now i think somewhere in his heart asr nurses a dream that she loves him and not shyam and he is the man who can have her and not shyam. i somehow can never rule that out as a reason for the forced marriage. anjali is only one half of it

They did show this side of his feelings after he drives off after knowing that Anjali is pregnant. His emotional breakdown on the street was mind-numbing and heart wrenching. In that scene he was shown to be angry and frustrated when he thinks about Shyam's betrayal, his Di being pregnant and remembering his mom's death. BUT... the moment he starts thinking about Khushi... you can see he completely breaks down. He cried like we have never seen him cry before. Yes that was the scene of his dreams breaking...his dreams of having finally found love in his life. As a guy (especially being ASR), marriage rituals are not of much importance. But his dream was of finding someone who can bring light in his dark world.. someone who makes him want to LIVE life. He had found that happiness with Khushi. That's why I hated to watch that crying scene... as it was too sad. For someone like ASR who is so scarred from his past that he is unable to "live" in the present... then coming so close to getting a chance to heal... it was too heartbreaking to watch it all crumble for him.

But you are right... they have not shown anything like that since that scene. Just a few "hurt" expressions when he thinks of Khushi's betryal. But none showing what it was like for his dreams to shatter as well.

and khushi should see this. she should see that her shaitaan actually wanted to be her raajkumar but ended up being the shaitan despite himself. that insight is needed for her to love him

i don't think he knew he wanted marriage..but he knew he would do anything to keep her in his life...to make her the most important part of his life..
somehow i feel that led him to the altar. he wanted it. he wudn't have married any girl. it was this girl he wanted for himself and it was as if, he did it as much for himself as for his di

If it were any other woman - ASR would have paid her to disappear. I agree, his love and the pain and betrayal he felt of it drove it.

We will get to see what his dreams were, when he'll tell Khushi that he loves her and will tell everything about that unfortunate night, I believe.

Would love to see that! Hopefully the CVs will show us this. 😊
I'm sure he wouldn't have married any other girl if this in the same case but because it was Khushi he did it. Maybe he felt the need to protect her from the creep though he thought she was also guilty. Maybe the little possessive part of him wanted to keep her for himself though he thought that she didn't love him and that's why he thought of the 6 months marriage so that he could confirm if what he felt before he learnt the half truth was right or not? If she actually loved him or not? If she would leave him after 6 months or stick to him even after knowing the truth...
I know that Khushi's dreams about marriage were shattered but maybe even Arnav's dreams joined her while they got shattered...
I feel bad for both of them.
The scene played out in today's episode was beautiful. The way she described her dream...
Maybe when Arnav learns the whole truth and realizes that Khushi's innocent he'll leave recreate this dream for her. Though when a dream comes true at the time we want it to, it feels wonderful and it's like that beautiful chance has been missed and maybe the same feeling might not come the second time but atleast it would be something...

Yes I believe that too, as u rightly said somewhere he still hopes she loves him. I felt that during the heer ranjga dialogue it was more of an apology to the girl who loves him, then even wen he surprised that she can hear him inspite of him not being able to verbally call her...there was surprise mixed with satisfaction as if it was a proof to the connection / bond they share...

I hope the cvs realize that showing this emotional turmoil of arnav and khushi will get them higher TRP's...as u mentioned in ur replies I would love t to see both their thoughts on marriage now...

i remember that satisfaction in the way he saw her clean the room and the way she stayed up at night for him.he feels it but he is unsure. the day ASR knows Khushi loves him is one more important day for me in IPKKND. The first of course is when he knows her innocence
