I ask because they keep dropping hints that maybe there's something else to it.

Remember in the episode where Khushi first finds out that Arnav and Anjali are orphans, on the anniversary of their parents' death, when everyone flipped out because the garland broke on his mother's side?

And then according to Naniji it's Arnav's father who did something bad- the way she accused him of "being his father's son" the day after he married Khushi didn't seem like a compliment... Maybe his mum couldn't forgive him for whatever it is he was supposed to have done.

In the flashback to his childhood that Arnav has all the time, the one of Anjali's wedding, it ends with Arnav screaming "MAAA!"

Today, the precap, which had Arnav insisting that he doesn't have a mother and that his mother is dead: all these things that are trying to convince us that she's dead just make me think that maybe... she isn't.

Nah I don't think they would be doing the dead rituals for her if she hadn't really died.

I do wonder about his father though.

I think Garima has something to do with it also- though I thought maybe something to do with his dad as it's his dad Arnav seems to hate. According to Star Plus she was scorned or betrayed once when she was younger or made a sham of which is why she flipped out on Khushi so badly when she thought it was because of her that Payal's wedding broke.

I just don't know but I'm glad they've reminded us that there IS a bigger and much darker mystery to this story beyond this whole MU.

I've no doubts they're all convinced that they're both dead since they did the rituals for the anniversary of their death.

But are they actually? After all, this is an Indian drama... far weirder things have happened. 😆

true, at first i thought maybe Garima was his mom too, but that wouldn't work because the Raizada's would recognise her. She's always treated Arnav pretty well, maybe she was his nanny or something, and knows more than she lets on

Yeah, Arnav obviously thinks she's dead... the question is... is she?
