Khushi to become 'Helen of Troy' with IPL garnering all the attention, TRPs of other regular TV soaps are steadily declining. While some shows are waiting for the IPL to get over, other shows have decided to swim against the tide... 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' has chosen the latter, and it's team is already working on it.

Viewers take a backseat for now, because the ongoing misunderstandings are not going away anytime soon. Instead they are planning to bring in a new character to create more misunderstandings between Arnav (Barun Sobti) and Khushi (Sanaya Irani).

Abhinav Shukla of Geet and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behena Hai fame, has been roped in to play the character of Gopalyogi, the evil friend of Shyam (Abhaas Mehta). He is expected to make an entry next week.

A little birdie told us that Shyam gets Gopalyogi to help him. What Shyam doesn't expect is Gopalyogi falls for Khushi too, and succeeds in abducting her.

Here is the twist! Arnav and Shyam have to keep their differences aside and save Khushi from Gopalyogi's clutches. And Khushi's father, who helplessly witnesses the abduction, helps them with right direction by his involuntary hand gestures, and eye movements.

Saving her from Gopalyogi leads to another major misunderstanding between Arnav and Khushi, with Shyam manipulating Arnav to think that Khushi went with Gopalyogi willingly.

Abhaas Mehta confirmed the news by saying, "What can I do? My wife doesn't let me or her dear brother out of sight, even for a single moment. So I request my friend to help me, but he
turns out to be more malicious than me"

We called Abhinav Shukla, but he was unavailable for comment.
We can't blame the creative team for following time-tested cliche. Things have to always get worse before getting better!😭😭😭😭😭
