What a terrific indictment of the show, Lurvebooks. I love the idiom- jumping the shark.
Like yourself, I am getting sick of this morass of an meaningless MU into which this show is sinking. I have repeatedly said in so many posts that the main problem is the cvs have never had a prpoer plot or story. They have 2 terrrfic characters between whom they've created this pathetic misunderstanding, and now they don't know what do wih them or the situation. They are clutching at straws and making it up as they are going along.
This is the problem with the show- no vision, worse still, no courage.
How many more rabba ve while walking away, staring away into infinity will we have to watch?
Or is it that the show is set on another planet with creatures that look like us humans but have a whole different code of behaving in love? I thought ASR and KKG are of this planet- so why is it that they love and hate so intensely and yet can't as real people in the real world would, snap and TALK to the other person. Normal beings, however anguished, will want to demand love, to show love, to ask and to explain, they wouldn't let their love go, everyone fights for love. What metal are these two made of or what metal are the bloody cvs made of?
Can't we have at least one or two jabber aways instead of these endless rabba ves? At least one jabber away every now and then would bring some sense to the show.
I am watching a recording of Othello performed at the Globe being shown on Sky Arts as I write. At this moment Iago is poisoning Othello's mind about Desdemona- what a contrast between the botched up version that the cvs ae dishing us despite such excellent actors and Othello!
