Couldn't help think of the above song from the movie 'The King and I' when I watched Khushi and Arnav in the car scene. Actually right from the first scene to the last, we see scenes that portray the fact that Khushi is getting to know Arnav better. She may not understand him yet, mainly because she never questions his actions, but staying with him, listening to him on an every-day basis from close quarters has opened the door to studying his habits, character and behaviour.

Khushi and Arnav, in this drama of marriage, are identifying themselves with their husband-wife roles. They are aware on a conscious level that this marriage is fake, but their sub-conscious minds have more control, it is opening their minds to the situation, moulding them to fit into each other's zones, building steps to familiarize the two with each other on various levels, and paving a whole new path of growth in the relationship. It remains to be seen how this is taken forward in the coming episodes.

IN-HER-COMFORT-AREA

Your comfort area defines you - and Arnav is going to see that definition in Khushi while he stays at GH. He got an instant glimpse of it the moment his car stopped in front of her house. A crowd surrounds them, while Khushi cheerfully waves, smiles and greets everyone there! Defining Image No.1: Open, inviting, magnetic charm and errr Crowd-puller 😆 He then opens the boot of the car to be shocked at the number of bags wifey-dearest got along. He removes the bags, and finds that Khushi got a plant of his along (in her words - "agar aap apne poudho ki yaad aayi toh..." - Defining image No. 2: Thoughtful, caring and sweet. He is touched by her thoughtful action, that she cared enough to think about his 'comfort zone' and brought along a piece of it for his 'peace' of mind. You can almost sense the contentedness mixed with confuion in Arnav's mind about this action of hers. Content, that she thought about his needs, and brought one of his closest objects - just for him. Confusion - the heart and mind waala confusion. They've really been set in motion this week - hope we get to see Arnav's cogs working some more while he stays at her place.

The whole scene showed that Arnav will let her get back to GH after the MU is cleared. The plant, to me, meant that there is going to be growth in this relationship in the coming days. A freshness, a newness and positiveness will grow between the two during this period.

1.Let Arshad stay and no LM.

2. If LM has to come back, let him direct everything except Arhi scenes.

3. Let Arshad direct the Arhi scenes now that the story is coming back, Arshad will shine through.

4. No Rich guy settling in humble mode lecture, gyaan, comedy track.

5.I am a bit wary about the 5 star hotel thingy that he orders food from there. I hope they do this right and not goof up.

ASR has never disrespected Guptas in person or whenever he was in their home.

Infact we the audience always got the feeling that he was extremely comfy there, the way he moved around the house as if it is his own.

Plz let the 5 start thingy be whatever the initial reasons, realizing his goof up, he salvages the situation saying that he wanted to take the family out so they can spend some time together and with Bauji's condition he ordered it home or something.

Plz cvs...Even if you don't remember your characters, we do.

When I watched the episode I was blank. No not because it was bad or wasn't exciting but it was what we were expecting. Isn't it??? Yesterday I had mentioned that this track is to prove the "Difference" between "Class and Heart" and here we are, started to take baby steps on this track. Aren't we??? Today's episode was a light hearted episode and a much needed breather for me as last week and yesterday's episode made me quite worn-out. Today, I'll keep it short and will try to help you understand the certain differences between Class and Heart that they portrayed in a very subtle way and ofcourse I saw my favorite set a-gain, the Gupta Home.

They will return to GH again and then Arnav will come with whole heart because like I mentioned yesterday - "Family is a Haven in a heartless world".

Let me jump into the analysis.

Heart. What is it exactly??? Is it the kindness that you see in others??? Is it the understanding that you experience when things are unsaid??? Or is it just that "something" in them which helps you understand them and respect them??? I guess all of the above and some more. Or I guess it's none of the above as it is non-explanatory.

I. Difference between the treatment of motherly love by Garima and Maami:-

Today we have experienced something exclusive differences between the love showered by Garima and Maami. Garima is one character that I adore and I wish if I can become even 1% like her then I will be thankful to God for my "Heart". I loved Buaji's innuendo here - "Humri Sanka Devi ka dil bahut badha hain ' ihiliye toh woh humra kareeb hain". Yes, and why not??? Garima the lady who sacrificed her own womb for the sake of 2 kids ' Payal and Khushi. She is the biological Mother of none. Didn't she have a dream to bear her own child??? She definitely had but yet she happily sacrificed that wish for Payal and Khushi. She is "Masi" to Khushi just like Maami is "Masi" to Bubbli. Isn't it??? Did you notice the treatment in attention they both have for their respective nieces???

The first difference was established in their addressing. Maami have not given the "Authority" to Bubbli to call her "Maa" but we see on the other hand Garimaji have given both Payal and Khushi to address her as "Amma".

Then comes the second difference. When Bubbli came to seek help from her Masi, Maami didn't even lend her ears to her needs yet was involved in her own business. This scene took me straight to the scene when Khushi resigned her job at AR and her first venture into Sweet Business turned out a loss. Then Garimaji and Bauji called her up and Garimaji insisted on the firm judgment not to tell Khushi about the Shop Mortgage issue for she will be worried and Garimaji never even dreamt of increasing Khushi and Payal's tension. That is called a "heart" and that is called "unconditional Motherly love". Today we saw Bubbli, even the 9 yr old realized that her Masi is not interested in helping her and said - "Masi mujhe aapki zaroorat nehin hain, main khud kar lungi". What did we see today??? Yes, today we saw Garima tensed with the placement of the chairs, new dinner sets and trying to manage every single detail that will make her "Adopted" daughter and Son-in-law comfortable in her own way.

What will happen when the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada will realize that even Payal is not her daughter??? What will happen when the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada will experience the "Heart" that the Guptas have??? Will he pursue them??? Yes he will. He has to. This is the reason Khushi is what she is today. This is the reason Buaji said - "Humri Sanka Devi ka dil bahut badha hain ' ihiliye toh woh humra kareeb hain " and why not??? They also have bigger heart and that is why Khushi stays in their hearts. Arnav Singh Raizada will realize how nave the Guptas are and until he realizes this he cannot understand what was Shyaam Manohar Jha's "Master Plan" and why he succeeded, for first he needs to understand the heart as Aristotle says - "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all".

II. Difference between the treatment of Arnav and Khushi in their comfort zone:-

Whoa. I loved this one. When I saw the scene I was like - so the first blow Mr. Raizada??? Face it. This is just the beginning between class and heart. This is what makes Khushi Kumari Gupta "Unique"; remember my yesterday's post "The favor factor"??? That "something" which makes you stand out in the crowd and different from others??? Yes. This took me straight to their first night on the day of traditional "Grihapravesh". A girl, whichever the way she gets married, she has left her comfort zone, her parents are not in talking terms with her due to your condition; her sister accused her of not treating them as her own; her confidante DM stood stupefied when you filled her maang with "Sindoor" and tied the MS around her neck; she was blasted by each and every relation that she built upon and then cometh the final blow from her husband. You have thrown her out of the room accusing her of acting to the pool under the open sky in the cold. He said that day - "iss kamre ke bahaar hum happily married couple ki actin karenge and kamre ke andar meri jagah yahan aur tumhari wahan". He didn't even for a moment think of her comfortableness, think that she might miss her place, think that how will she adjust in this family. Nothing.

See the first blow now. When today he was unloading the luggage she pointed towards the "Plant"; Plant which is ASR's companion; plant that he his silent confidante; that plant which he might miss while staying at the Guptas. That plant which Khushi remembered to bring alone so that he doesn't feel alone and whe he needs to talk to them he can converse. This is called "Heart" Mr Raizada. Face it. This wedding is a black stamp for Khushi for any girl who knows she has to untie this after 6 months; there will be many social stigmas that she will face after 6 months; there will be many accusations that she will have to fight against still this girl thought of his comfort and didn't show her animosity. This is called "Heart" and how you treated her Mr Raizada was your understanding of "Low Class". This is how he will figure out the "True" Khushi Kumari Gupta and understand her which will help him in future when his own actions and judgments and Shyaam's evilness and cruelty will come out front for as Carl Jung says - "Understanding does not cure evil, but it is a definite help, inasmuch as one can cope with a comprehensible darkness".

Then cometh the MESSAGE of today's episode through the innuendo of Garimaji and Buaji - "Kursi ko idhar lagake rakha hain - Kaa faraq padhta hain Garima, Chat oonchin karo toh kono baat hain". WOW. What a message and with these two dialogues they have confirmed the track "Class v/s Heart". Yes. I was right yesterday. As I explained yesterday, this is not about Bauji getting better or Khushi's irritating ASR, this track is for ASR to realize the difference between "CLASS" v/s "HEART". With this one statement Buaji meant for ASR ' "Location change doesn't solve the issues but expanding your thought process will help you see the truth". Look up at the horizon and see the limitless sky; explore your thinking capabilities; only then ASR will realize and figure out the true picture. He has to understand why Shyaam was successful enough to trick the Guptas; how ASR himself have paved the way for Shyaam to enter the world of Guptas; why Khushi trusted him; why did the Guptas keep quiet when they came to know about Shyaam's true identity; why Khushi said - "Anjaliji ko chod kyun nehin dete???"; he will understand that Khushi is merely a "VICTIM" of Shyaam like Anjali is. If he doesn't expand his horizon and open himself to see the bigger picture how will he see the truth???

The truth is that NOT Shyaam BUT he himself has spoiled his sister's and Khushi's life for as Clement Stone says - "Truth will always be truth, regardless of lack of understanding, disbelief or ignorance".

True on more comfy part - Arnav has always shown to be more relaxed in the GH. He has moved around the house as if its his own home. I dont think it is going to be very much difficult for him to adjust there - however he may not show it explicitly! 😉

A Clean Episode, A episode which reeked of cleanliness ... A episode where both the houses spent their time cleaning, dusting, mopping, swabbing ...IS it a Omen that the Track is being dusted out of its mould and is freshened up for for our viewiing pleasure, Is it a sign that the family will finally cleanse its Aegean Stables throwing out all the muck, heralding a new beginning or IS it Presaging the PH attempt to shake and stir up its house and setting it in order or is it the combination of all three ** Very Important , Have I lost my mind or is My Mind running amuck with all this zany ideas, May be !!**

The episode began with Arnav decisively saying that he will leave for Gupta House but the next day , This is accepted by the women who rule his life Anjali, Nani & Khushi ..Khushi again tries her Swami act only for Arnav to shut her definitively saying that he will not be addressed as Swami again ..Khushi meekly agrees calls up and informs her family that they will be arriving the next day...Pandemonium Break Loose as The Gupta ladies run helter skelter dusting, arranging, assembling , unwrapping the new things in honor of their esteemed Son In Law !!

3 lines and a chair caught my attention in this segment ..The first was when Anjali steps forward and informs her chotte that He has to maintain and balance the relationships that he has established after marrying into another family..Arnav agrees to do so ...Here we got the first intimation that Arnav will honor and respect the relationship formed between Raizada's and Gupta's formed due to marriage even in future ..He will do so bec he wants to !!

As we all know this mini track has been brought out to showcase the Gupta's , their world, their thoughts to Arnav .. Arnav needs to understand the way Gupta's operate so that he can understand the reason for their silence over Shyam Issues... Arnav has to understand Gupta's to know Khushi , to understand Khushi .Khushi's thoughts and views which often confuse Arnav , which is frequently misunderstood by Arnav can only begin to become clear and lucid when he understands what made her !! ..To Achieve this Arnav has to spend his time in Gupta house, observing them, their practices, observing Khushi, her actions... Arnav has to understand Gptas to understand emotions, Arnav has to understand Gupta's to understand the value of relationship ..This can be done only when Arnav crosses that proverbial bridge of Aukat and sees the Heart that ticks underneath !! ..

Buaji line that Khushi will bring a storm in her wake suggests a imminent explosion ..

The realignment of chair by Garima ...Arnav whose opinion and judgement was shaped by an event he witnessed .. is going to or may revisit the said incident from another perspective with fresh eyes ..


I have always wondered whom does Khushi model herself on..looks like she has gone on her Mom.. we saw the same nervous energy, the scatter brained running here and there ..May be Garima will be the one who will give a new perspective to Arnav..

Khushi takes leave of Raizada family shedding tears like the newly installed sprinkler system, Her tears watched in bemusement by Arnav .. .. Both leave Raizada and head towards Gupta's world, one returning back to her roots, her comfort zone where she is the queen and the other a novice who is warily stepping into a new world , A novice who has been painted a nightmarish scenario by Mami who helpfully offers him a anti dote to counter the ill effects of the lower world..

Nothing could have highlighted the contrast between the heart & Mind than this scene... Khushi, The Heart is finding it difficult to tear herself away from the new bonds that she has forged, her love and affection for the members making her sad while Arnav stands watching bewildered , not understanding the emotions, practical, unmoved that he will be not be able to see his Dii , His Nani, His Brother, It also in a way reflects at the sad state of affairs existing in Raizada Mansion for Arnav has always been the giver and the rest takers..None giving him the unconditional love , the affection , Arnav remains a blind man when it comes to tender feelings.

Maami, The Lemony Maami always sour tounged but makes a good lemonade when needed... Her voluntary decision to help Arnav in facing the other world in her own style was good indeed and the fact that Arnav did lend his ears betrays the slight insecurity and bafflement that he is facing at his predicament ...

Khushi has in a way said that she is leaving the house, She does leave the house carrying her things ... I liked the positioning here.. The Raizada women all close together, Arnav apart from them, watching Khushi leaving quietly.. Pauses ..looks at the R women TURNS and walks AFTER Khushi !!.. A clear hint that at the decision time Arnav will be the one defending Khushi, standing by her , he will be aided in this endeavor by Mami who was markedly absent from the farewell committee !!

Arnav and Khushi Leave for the Gupta's in their jeep ..Buaji anxiously calling up and enquiring whether Arnav wants Roti or Paratha !! Getting a incensed glare Khushi chooses the appropriate food , cuts the call promptly.Khushi gets the vibe , the angry vibes emanating from Arnav.. Trying to sooth her frayed nerves, Khushi begins to hold on a one to one conversation with herself driving Arnav nuts..Arnav stops the car, tells her to get out and when Khushi moves to obey him..Arnav stops her


The Signal has turned Green , has it... Yes, Arnav Bituwa..time approaches for the truth to be known...Y'day I had said in my post that Arnav's departure leaves the field wide and clear for Shyam to do his own damage in Raizada world , Now with hindsight and adequate rest and sitting in a different chair.. I arrive at a different conclusion ...It is not the clearance of the way for Shyam...But it is actually about Arnav !!..Time has come for Arnav to lunge deeper into enemy territory, get to know his face. Arnav has embarked on this, He is driving into Lakshminagar, the lair of Shyam, The place where it all began...Arnav is going to the source of the evil, Arnav is coursing towards truth unhindered by the machination of Shyam.. The warrior has begun to go to the place where it all begun , to launch his war against Shyam ..

The journey by the Jeep ..How often have we seen this journey , The journey always ending with Khushi dumped in the middle of nowhere while Arnav goes about on his business ... The same scenario begins to be acted out, Arnav begins to lose his cool..and in his anger , he orders Khushi to go out ...BUT ..There is a difference today.. Just when Khushi is about to leave his side..Arnav STOPS her , does not allow her to leave his side ...

Another notable moment is that even when Arnav orders her to get out, Khushi moves to obey him but not in anger or hurt but in full faith that he knows what he is doing and that he is doing it for a purpose.. Her faith and her belief in him is reiterated when she says with conviction that she knows that Arnav will manage and control the situation and not allow it to deteriorate ..

The journey resumes with Khushi in her usual Goofy mode , Arnav displaying a admirable restraint...The vehicle of Arnav finally reaches its destination ..The sweet [Khushi] & Sour [ Arnav] sauce descend from the jeep ..Khushi is surrounded by her friends, well wishers while Arnav is left alone..Arnav unloads the luggage , discovers to his surprise that Khushi has brought with her a part of his world... A moment of pleasure at her kindness ..

Raastha hai Anjaana, Saathi hai Deewana ...so true.. both have commenced on a expedition and they don't know the road they are traveling ..if Khushi is ignorant of the reason for the marriage, Arnav is ignorant of the history of Khushi-Shyam Saga ..Both are in different roads but the destination is same, and both are the companions of one another even though they are not aware of the true reasons of anothers travel ..

Arnav has crossed that Metaphorical bridge and has finally begun to accept her .. Khushi's can you manage to reach Buaji's place alone n You can't go back gives out a hint that once Arnav arrives at the truth, it will be a point of no return .. he will have to make hard decisions and that decision will entail Khushi's exit ..but By stopping her nad keeping Khushi with him.. Arnav either will opt to stay with Khushi or will be staying along with Khushi in Gupta House.. His "are we going to set up a home here " & the fact that his prized possession, the only thing he can call is his own...HIS PLANTS has come to Gupta's which seems to imply that pretty soon Arnav may move out and establish his roots and finally his home in the Gupta's house..

Arnav who was going to place the pot in the jeep is stopped by Khushi and she willingly agrees to hold on to the pot..Arnav who would have retired to the shadows is not allowed to do so by Khushi, who stops him, volunteers that she will be there, is there for him.. A moment of pure unalloyed joy in Arnav's face as his face lights up in joy .. He almost shyly and reluctantly hands over the pot of green plant towards Khushi...The Pot holding his dreams, his future and the green foliage suggesting hope, rejuvenation, growth !!

The Shyam- Anjali Moment..If I say after Arnav - Khushi , This two are my favourite pair..would u think I am mad..and yet They are my favourite couple sometimes superseding Arnav-Khushi too ...The brief interplay of Anjali-Shyam was quite interesting too... Shyam has finally managed to get the key to end his frustrations, His whole being focused on his task, he walks by oblivious of Anjali ..Anjali who had been watering Arnav's plants is diverted , She sets about to recall Shyam to her presence .. Shyam realizes her presence , tries to halt her handiwork , tricks her into stopping it ...


Anjali has always been a self centered one, we have seen many instances of it , today too we got further clue towards it.. Anjali is watering Arnav's plants, giving life to them, sustaining them when Shyam denoting her world walks by ignoring her ...Anjali calls out to him but when Shyam does not pay attention , Anjali forgets all about her brother, Brother's plants and sets about righting her world, paying attention and importance to her life , ignores her brother and turns the water , which is considered to be a lif giver on to Shyam , in a way reviving him ..


Loved loved loved loved the the thinking that went in this brief scene.. Anjali begins to Ply water onto Shyam from the hosepipe, Shyam's anger and his mask begins to slip but watch out for Anjali here.. The water blurs the image and Anjali is unable to see it !! Kudos to the director and the camera Man ..everytime the real Shyam slips out ...we see the water blurring the vision of Anjali ... in other words.. her need for perfect world, her delusion for perfect life will not allow her to see what is so obviously in front of her ..Watch this scene for the simplicity which it conveyed the message across !!

Shyam has had enough, he begins to take action.. Shyam begins to move towards Anjali..Anjali reacts instinctively , and the reaction is of fear !! Shyam tries to smear Anjali with Dirt, tries to taint her too with hsi own filth but stops and instead pours water on her..


I loved the motif of water in this sequence..Water we know is a life giver , a sustainer and we saw the properties of water put into use when Anjali is nurturing Arnav's plants ...But Have u heard of the idiom 'Throw cold water on"..Many of u would have heard it..Yes Anjali did throw cold water on Shyam's hope, baulked him, stopped him in his tracks..living up to her role of being the unknown protector of Arnav-Khushi's life... and what do we see when Anjali is happily playing in her delusional world with Shyam, her vision blurred , not seeing the truth that is right in front of her ..Shyam does the needful and cleanses her vision , throws cold water on her hopes, her optimism which was build on sand ..Anjali retreats to freshen herself..Lets hope she freshens her life too !!


Todays episode we saw Arnav finally at the doors of the Gupta's ..I had earlier mentioned that when the apocalypse strikes we will find Arnav ranged against Anjali in support of Khushi, He will be the Knight templar who will wage the war against Shyam and be the shield to Gupta's cux ...Today marks the journey of Arnav in pursuit of truth, in pursuit of love, in pursuit of compassion, in pursuit of family !!..
