Hello everyone! This is Shweta, I'm quite a new member on the forum but I've been viewing it as a nonmember for quite sometime (about a month or so). So I see this whole manifest on Gurmeet Ji not being number one. I read through some of the comments on the thread and found some hurtful things but also found some every good points. I did a bit research and came up with the post. Please do read and create peace... Before we continue, you should know: I have seen Gurmeet Ji AND Barun Ji's work. Both are immensly talented Okay so I personally think no one stays up there for ever. I mean does anybody remember the Karan Singh Grover and DMG CRAZE era? Then it simmered down a bit and then came Geet. Do I even have to describe the hullabaloo that the Geet caused. And then August 18th, 2010 came (the day Gurmeet ranked 1). I'm sure all of you must have gone bonkers! And it was very well deserved.
But according to many comments on the thread, the KSG fans were not happy. And I'm pretty sure all of you fans were annoyed that finally when your deserving actor recieved the recognition he deserved, there were people ruining your happiness by badmouthing Gurmeet. And I'm sure at the time many of you Gurmeet fans were also KSG fans and you also felt that it was Gurmeet's turn to rule now. You all felt that the KSG fans were being a bit rude. Gurmeet deserved being rank 1 and there were people spoiling your happiness.
Picture Proof. I edited this post after learning how to post a picture because I just found something that is amazing proof of history repeating itself. And its also a bit ironic as well. Not meant for fights, just as evidence to proof my point.
It's a bit ironic isn't it? Especially the highlighted part.
(I should like become a reporter! Lol! Only a sanka devi like me would go track down a post!)
And now history repeats itself. How do Barun fans feel? You people of all should know how they feel. Again I'm not saying Gurmeet is not good anymore or anything, he is, but there is a possibility that someone else is a good actor as well. Gurmeet is a really good actor but calling Barun a bad actor would not be fair to his talent.
I mean please watch the AMAZING performance by Barun on Feb. 15th. It's a solo performance where he had to use his expressions without any dialogue to express what's going on in his character's mind. Very few actors have the guts to carry out a solo performance and that too so excellently. When an actor expresses a character's thoughts without words and it connects to the audience, it would be wrong to call him a bad actor.
So we can all now say that he's not a bad actor right? I mean we can't be blinded by the love for one actor to call others bad when they aren't.
Point 1 Covered: "He's a bad actor! No talent!" False.
This isn't an opinion. If you don't find him to have amazing talent after seeing his 15th Feb. performance then I also have proof up my sleeve. Global Indian Telly Awards- Best Actor won by a deserving contender- Barun Sobti.

EDIT: Point 3-The IF system
Well to start off, "The ranking system doesn't really even measure how good of an actor a person is; it's mainly how much he/she impresses fans on I-F. But that's it- it isn't a major deal that wars to be started over. It's just one ranking on one website based solely on opinion and popularity. Yeah, I was super excited when Barun was #1 because I felt he deserves it. That doesn't mean, however, that he's better than others. Ranks are what they are, so I don't get why bashing is necessary. If one of the actors just happens to, though its pretty unlikely, go on I-F and looks at his/her ranking, I'm sure he/she wouldn't be upset if other actors rank higher. But imagine if he/she was number one then sees such negative posts by members just because their favorite actor/actress isn't #1." (quoted are words from user: bmtdluver. So is bashing really necessary? There are more important topics to fight over, why waste your time spoiling someone else's happiness? It's not even that important, so why fight over it? Let others be happy, calm down. If you cannot join one's happiness do not spoil it.
On the TV Celebrity Ranking thread there were many posts about the the IF system and it being rigged. But when your desired actors are on your desired positions, it's all good, the moment events change against your liking IF ranking system is rigged?
Picture Proof: Not for fighting, only proving points. Highlighted are similarities in situation and feelings.
This was the answer of a fan when the IF system was asked for rechecking when that fan's favorite actor was ranked high. So then why is the same fan base changing sides. This post is to stop bashing, and so if the IF system was highly accepted back then then why not now? Why question people and things?
Point 3: "Barun is not a good actor, the IF system is rigged." False.
Again, not comparing actors, the picture was used to compare situations.

Those were my 3 points in which I believe that you all should not badmouth Barun Sobti. I am not saying he is better than Gurmeet nor am I saying Gurmeet is better than Barun. This post is just explaining that all the mean comments made by people about Barun are false and they should remove them as it is very rude.
Good looks is not going to be a point because that is how you see things, I might think apples are the best fruit but you may like oranges. No matter how much we argue, we will never be able to prove that apples are better than oranges or oranges are better than apples.
That is what this post is based on, proofs. Facts.
Please do not start a fight. I DO NOT want this topic to be one of those fighting threads were the two fan groups are shooting arrows of words at each other.
Refrain from putting posts like:
XYZ is better than ABC.
And please do NOT use "it's my opinion" as an excuse for bashing. There is a clear difference between stating your opinion and badmouthing. All of you are mature enough to know the difference.
DO NOT call the actors names. It doesn't matter who is your favorite, calling names will not be acceptable.
If you look through this entire post, there is not a single bit of bashing.
Sorry if I sound a bit demanding for a newbie, but I'm a peace loving newbie awaiting to discover more about this forum and it's coolness. I'm already amazed by reading amazing posts and reading talented pieces of writing! Thank you all for inspiring me to take a chance and make this my first post.

To prove all the hateful and false comments about Barun wrong, thus giving the bashers nothing to bash about, all resulting in peace! NOT to say one actor is better than another.
Request:
Please do not say hurtful things about Barun. He is a really good actor and a good human being. He's one of the few down to earth people that exist. If you can't be happy for him at least don't insult him.
If you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all.

And same goes for Gurmeet, he's a good actor and person as well. I expect all Barun fans to respect Gurmeet, if you've said something hurtful about him make use of the edit tool and don't hesitate to include a sorry. :)
If by now bashers aren't getting the memo, then it's because they don't want to. I really can't explain this any better. Just stop bashing. Simple as that. Just stop. If one stops then the other will, it's a domino effect.
