So I gave in to everyone who wanted me to continue :P I've opened it in a new post because you can read it as a stand-alone OS. For those of you who haven't read the prequel one, and want to, here is the link
I've not gone into the nitty-gritty of how the Raizada's and Gupta's reacted after Khushi left, what happened about Shyams truth, where Khushi went, what she did etc etc .. so yeah bear with me :P

It had been 6 months. 6 months since he had let Khushi walk out of his life. 6 months since he last smirked, smiled, laughed or teased. 6 months since he felt something other than anger, regret, guilt and sorrow. And most importantly, 6 months since he last heard her voice or felt his heart go dhak-dhak.
His Di had once told him that there would be one girl, without whom he wouldn't be able to breathe, 'saansein ruk jayegi', she had said. And he had scoffed at her then. She was right; god knows he knew that now. He found it difficult to breathe, difficult to go through each day without her by his side. He could no longer work at the same rate at his office, for her memories haunted him there too. He remembered the few days she had worked as an employee. He clenched his fist as he remembered the way he had treated her then, so badly, so ruthlessly…she had almost been killed because of his damn ego. He reminisced back to the day of Akash and Payal's sangeet where she had sung the lines 'laptop se inki tum kar do sagai, office ke phir toh ban jaye jamai' for him. They had even danced together that, don't even go there Arnav, he reprimanded himself.
As he made his way towards Khushi's Devi Maiyya's temple, he was reminded of her words. She had said that it was Devi Maiyya who held his hand and made him write his destiny, and when he would realise that, she wouldn't be there. She was right, like she usually was. He wished he could change everything, but he couldn't, so he would go to Devi Maiyya's temple every Friday and pray for her happiness, and ask for forgiveness for all his sins.
He didn't know, but today was a special day in the mandir. Hence, there was a much larger crowd. People from all over India would come to visit the temple. Still lost in her thoughts, he didn't notice where he was walking and unintentionally walked into someone's soft body. As a reflex he held the persons waist to prevent her from falling, however what, or rather who he saw made his knees want to buckle. Khushi, his mind whispered, still not believing that it was her.
To say that she was shocked to see him there would be an understatement, but she waved the thought away, as they both looked at each other as if wanting this moment to last for eternity. He pulled her up, but his hands still remained on her waist, just like hers did on his shoulder, keeping them barely inches apart. They gazed into each other's eyes as they felt their heart come alive for the first time in these 6 months. The world ceased to exist. They didn't care that they were at a temple and everyone could see them in this intimate position. All that mattered was that they were finally home, in each other's arms.
He looked lost, she thought as she took a look at him, and he had definitely some lost weight, but his body was softer, not stiff like it usually was. His eyes held something different, she had never seen that look before, but she was going through too many emotions herself to try and identify it. He drank in her sight, not knowing how long it would be before this moment shattered. She looked pale, he though, she didn't look that happy or cheerful anymore. I did this to her, he thought, inwardly cursing himself. But before he could think any further he heard her murmur a soft, Arnavji?, which was enough to stop any and all thought from processing in his mind. Khushi, he said, just as softly, as they continued looking into each other's eyes, none of them trying to hide their emotions.
They were suddenly interrupted by a panditji offering them Prasad and were both transported back to the time Arnav was remembering not so long ago. This time though, he put his hand forward to accept the Prasad, when, "Nahin, unhe meetha mana hai", she said, "hum unhe, hamare Prasad mein se zara sa tukda de denge", before the pandit could give him the prasad. Today, there was special, extra-sweet Prasad, which would not be good for diabetic patients, she told him. His heart soared, she still remembered. Even after every stupid thing he had done she still cared.
He would win her trust back, he promised himself. He knew he had a long way to go, but he would do it. He would beg, plead and grovel for another chance if he had to. If she could have seen through the mask of ASR and fallen in love with the Arnav she found inside as well as accept ASR as he was once, he could make her fall in love with an Arnav, who no longer hid behind the mask of ASR. He was Arnav Singh Raizada after all. He would make this happen. He would make all her dreams come true. He would give her all the happiness in the world. And then for the first time in months, he felt a slight smile tug at his lips as he felt hope engulf him.

Was it all too rushed? I didn't spend too much time on this because I really need to study for my upcoming boards next month. Hope you guys like it! Likes/comments would be appreciated :P Tell me exactly how you guys thought it was and pleasee do comment!
*note – I have no idea about the Prasad, and the special day or anything, they usually offer jal as the Prasad, which Arnav can easily have, so had to tweak the things a bit to show this :P
