After seeing so many posts on how the magic is gone, I couldn't refrain myself from making this post after seeing today's episode where I can, with confidence say, that the MAGIC was there.
The old magic that made us fall in love with this show.
Today's episode was amazing. It left me speechless.
It was Arnav's heart pouring out as Ranjha. If the show continues this way, forget Heer-Ranjha, Arnav-Khushi would be the next eternal jodi (hopefully with a better ending though).
The way Sanaya and Barun delivered the dialogues with such feeling and combined with the expressions they gave... I swear my heart could've stopped beating...
I'm going to take you back memory lane and remind you of the magic which brought all of us to love the show...
Remember this?
The shot that made our hearts go dhak dhak from the very first day...
The shot that made us fall in love with those expressive eyes...
The shot that touched us...
The shot that told us that this love story will be epic...
What made our show different from others?
The intesity and passion between the two characters that no other story has ever managed to show. At least on this level.
It's like an old book that had been long forgotten and now all of a sudden someone on June 6, 2011 decides to open it and narrates the story to us.
Right from where it started...
Typical angry young man meets bubbly girl, changes, falls in love, happy-go-frolicking in the fields right?
WRONG!
It's a love story unique from all the others.Our story has MUCH more than what it's credited for and frankly, this is just the beginning. The whole Shyam saga that we're freaking out over is JUST THE BEGINNING. It doesn't end there, an eternal love saga is not about just one misunderstanding. There is more depth into the story Arnav's painful past, what made him the way he is today and how love can heal wounds when medicine doesn't work. He's been through a lot and the love story is about how a girl, no matter how strange she is, can heal his unhealed scars with love. True love. This is why this show is different, the two characters despite being apart, are one and help each other in the path of life.
Let's be patient and wait for the story to actually start because I saw it today, the magic. But the magic we have seen is just a glimpse of what has yet to come.
Our story has...
Conflicting Feelings
The way his past has turned out, Arnav has many reasons for being the way he is, but despite that their connection was so strong that it was able to unlock the door that held Arnav which ASR had hid away with so much difficulty. He hid it away well enough that he himself forgot that Arnav ever existed, now it was just ASR. And then Khushi comes along, and reminds him that he still exists. Arnav is still alive and he's trying to break through, give him a chance.
Khushi, a girl who's gone through about the same amount of pain Arnav has but she handles it better. She can mask her emotions with ones that people want to see. She can hide it in front of everyone, everone but Arnav. He shows her that it is ok to let go once in a while, that he's there for her.
They are both confused of the invisible pull they feel, it's nothing but their hearts taking over.
Remorse
Like I have said before, Arnav is not the perfect prince. He is not prince charming, FAR from that. A man with flaws but a man who knows how to love, love unconditionally.
I have to give it to the writers for creating Arnav. Such a complex character yet so simple. All he ever craved for was love but he himself doesn't know that anymore. And Khushi is here to satisfy his hunger for love. Pure love, their love.
Protection
You know it's right when you feel at home in their arms, when the world doesn't seem to matter, and where you feel for a moment that everything just might be ok.
Khushi let her heart out that day, and Arnav felt for her. Both have gone through nearly the same tragedies and yet when they are with each other it seems for a moment that it's ok.
"Yun na khabara,
thoda muskura,
jo bhi hoga I am with you,
Ek main hoon aur ek tu😉"
Which leads me into my next topic...
Lighthearted Banter
I mean come on, who HASN'T laughed their heads off when the "Kya Dhoop Nikli Suhani" song was being sung so.. erm... wonderfully? 😆
This is another thing about their love, even in the worst situations, she manages to amuse him, make him wonder, make him (and us) fall in love with her all over again...
Raw Passion
That raw passion, the desire to touch, to feel, to experience one another in every way possible is clearly evidedent in their relationship. We always see the hunger they have for each other in their eyes but...
This leads me to my next point...
Sacrifice
Honestly speaking, I absolutely hate it. End of story. If I go into detail about how much I hated it, this post will never end. But it's a passion booster. When the truth comes out, he'll go out of his way to try and make things better. Because that's all he can really do. And when you look at the big picture, the sacrifice led to something right, right?
Pain
We all know he's wrong and want him to repent like hell (well at least I do) and despite his pretty (godlike) face, we have all wanted to punch him in the face when he made Khushi sleep in the poolside. Admit it! 😆
And I am not saying he's right (Do I look THAT crazy to you?)
What I am saying is, that ASR the character jumps to conclusions (we've seen that before) and from what he is seeing the situation as, he is feeling a LOT of pain. Despite the pain he believes "Khushi gave him", he still loves her. I think that says a lot, as in if Khushi were to ever really mess up (which is not gonna happen) he would punish her and pretend to hate her but deep inside, that would not affect the unconditional love he felt for her.
That indeed is the power and the MAGIC of our Arnav and Khushi...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, if we're done with memory lane, let me tell you or rather show you the magic today held...
He realizes that she's gone... forever this time...
Be it a play, he couldn't help his overpowering emotions. Especially when the sensitive topic of death is involved with one whom he could not live without...
Arnav overpowers ASR...
This was a magical shot. I could feel his passion burning from here...
He realizes it's too late... This shot was also magical... You could see the look on his face which says "This isn't true, this can't be, she can not leave me, it's all an illusion"
This just might be my profile pic, absolutely in love with it... Need it say that THIS is MAGIC, the magic that moved us today...
She left his life just like the way she entered it...
But, without Heer there is no Ranjha and without Khushi, there is no Arnav...
He made his decision...
Khushi ke bina, Arnav ka koi vajoot hi nahi hai...
Ek duniya hai, jahan hum kabhi judaah nahi honge...
His last words were the ones that should've been his first...
And now they were finally with each other...
...Finally At Peace
This was by far one of the best performances I've ever seen...
This expressed their feelings beyond limits...
And then I saw...
After pouring out their hearts, they returned to themselves but I saw something different in Khushi's eyes this time... It was hope...
The hope that was missing in these eyes...
Need I say much... Today was truely magical...
Hoped you like my little Journey Through IPKKND,
This was the first of my "this" kind of a post and I must 👏applaud all who do this on a regular basis, it was so time consuming but worth it...
I'm a writter so if I went overboard with the descriptive aspect I'm sorry, can't help it lol!
Love all of you!
