Why are we so quick to show hatred, but wait so long to declare love?
Arnav and Khushi, you have help from the specialists of love!

~*~*~

MARVELLOUS Episode! STUPENDOUS PERFORMANCES!

I can't pick and chose who was better and who stole it away - am not qualified enough! Barun and Sanaya, the standing ovation that the audience in the episode gave you was totally deserved everywhere else as well.

Barun, you're an actor par excellence. Keep this up, buddy, and the next year too all awards belong to you. Tell the missus to make some more space on them shelves.

Sanaya, you ROCKED! What a beautiful performance and how effeortlessly Khushi flows through in every scene, through every emotion, in all situations ' Khushi is beautiful.

CVs, you guys are the best team there ever was a for a TV show! What story-telling! Astounding! Stunning!

A Note for the Dialog writers: People, you sure rocked the audience today and held them to every word you penned down. Bravo! That was very beautiful. From Khushi's innocent love to Arnav's deep deep depths, it was insightful into their personalities and even their thought-process. Thank you!

Heer - Ranjha

Dear dear Khushi!

Life was a stage where she was a clumsy child, hopping and dancing, making do in every situation, imagining herself to be a Heer and looking for a Majnu. All was confusion, Sweets and DM ' till a certain Arnav Singh Raizada stepped on the scene.

Life took on a new turn, a new meaning. He suddenly stood by her side, his arm on her side ' there to offer support but clueless beyond that.

Heer responds: Jisko jee jaan se chahte hain, jab usey aakhon ke saamne paate hain... tab aakhein bolti hain zuban nahi... ye hum jaante hain.. ye aap jaante hain.. aise mein sawal wo karte hain.. jinhe pyaar kya hai iski hawa tak nahi..

[When you're in love, your eyes converse, you don't need words. We know this, you know this; the ones who question (or doubt) are those who haven't a clue about what love is.]

Khushi has to teach her Majnu all about love. She tells Arnav that she has started it, and he must complete it. I'm awed by the phrasing here - she didn't ask Arnav to finish (khatam) it, but to complete (poora) it.

Arnav obeys and goes over to the other side of the stage to come in when Khushi signals.

Khushi goes on to narrate the story of her love - in the guise of Heer - and of the man she loves - the man, her first love; the man whom she met a lot, from whom she was separated for long, and for whom she has overlooked much. So much so that though her name is Heer, at heart she is Ranjha. She's been all about him.

Today when she marries him, she wants to be her best for him. Though if she looks into a mirror, all she sees is him. What could be sweeter than the sweet of her wedding day? All things have been sweetened by the sweetness of her joy. Today, even poison may taste sweet.

Arnav asks if he should come in, and she tells him in a while when it'll be Arnav's best day and Ranjha's worst - because she dies.

Khushi you don't really believe that. You know how he bothers over you if you get so much as a pin prick. He lost his facade when he thought you'd been in an accident.

Yet, here goes Khushi telling Arnav that it'll be his best day when she dies.

Arnav:

Arnav appeared on stage when she was left alone once more, though he had no clue about what was expected of him. It was an awkward moment for him. Arnav has been in the public eye for a long time and there was nothing new about being in the spotlight. Just being there with Khushi and pretending to be a lover to her in a Stupid Love Story was awkward.

His attitude was expressed very well in his words - Khushi, I haven't a clue about what to say. You do something and do it fast. He needed to get out of this uncomfortable scenario quickly.

There was a time when he stepped on stage with her of his own will.
Now, he's pushed there by his family.

Then, he was gave it his all in the dance.
Now, he stays in the shadows watching her, loving her, waiting with hesitation ... unsure if he should do anything.

Then, he took the initiative to walk to her and tell her why she mattered to him.
Now, he had no clue what he should say.

Then, he was taking control of their relationship, letting everyone see that she was important for him.
Now, he lets her handle the show being happy and chirpy, while he just waits in the darkness for it to get over.

Then, he was willing to be Arnav for her, and her alone.
Now, he is lost somewhere between being Arnav and ASR.

She is all in red; Arnav's color - she's all his. His bride. His wife.
He's in the dark, still cloaked in blackness.

It's hard being Arnav Singh Raizada. To love someone and lose them to someone else and yet being tied to them; another might have been crushed under pressure - Arnav has become tougher.

Every line that Khushi spoke on stage, she spoke to Arnav's heart. He longed to hear those words from her. But was there a pain - that when she spoke them, was she play acting, or if she meant them, were they for another man?

She told him that he became aware of herself when he saw her. Arnav longed that he was the man she first loved.

When Khushi said that her name was Heer but in her heart, she was Ranjha - it seemed as though Arnav identified with that - Yes, she is like me.

Heer was so much about Ranjha that she became Ranjha - just as Khushi has been all about Arnav, so much that she is now becoming more and more like him. Minor things like saying 'what the', and taking over his space in room, office and even his car; and major things like understanding him,, his words, his expressions, his needs, and even him calling her name when he could not utter a sound.

He is the man for whom she suffered a lot; but for whom he overlooked a lot too - Arnav longs to be that man in her life.

Still, he stood there waiting for his cue to enter her life. She's told her all she had to - from the point that he is the first and only man she loved to the point that she's become his - Arnav still does not connect the dots and stands there waiting for a sign from her to enter the scene and almost declare his love.

Arnav's heart nearly sank when Khushi said that soon it'd be his best day and Ranjha's worst because she'd die.

He calls her Heer, but what he says is something meant for no other girl - not even Heer, except Khushi - Arnav's Khushi.

Heer, open your eyes once and see me. Heer, I cannot live without you. Heer, Ranjha is nothing witout you.

I left you alone and went, and comforted my heart thinking that nothing mattered to me. But you know that I cannot live without you. Whatever I said or did, forget it, just come back to me. Today, nothing else matters - no truth, no lies - except that, if you are not, then I am not. You said that without Heer Ranjha doesn't mean a thing - without you, my existence doesn't mean a thing. Perhaps not here, but perhaps in another world elsewhere, we can be together always. Whatever wrong I said, doesn't mean a thing; whatever wrong I did, doesn't mean a thing. In love, right and wrong don't mean a thing. All that matters is that I always always ...

Khushi ...

The moment Arnav began to speak, Khushi - the one who understands him even without his voice - knows that this is no Ranjha, nor is this a fake ASR. This is Arnav. She is instantly disturbed by his feelings flowing so freely - that had yet been locked away 24 hours. She is onto him.

A tear rolls down her face when he says that he is nothing without her. He gently wipes it away.

Khushi, however, now has a hard time keeping quiet and keeping her eyes closed. She wants to see his face, and respond to him. It's only the stage and the audience that keeps both of them going.

Denial - Yet Again

Arnav, your pain is understandable. Your fear and hesitation in opening up your heart to her are also explicable. You had decided to unmask yourself to her once, and you got hurt more than you could bear.

Khushi's apparent love for another man is what keeps Arnav from baring his heart to her. As of now, he'd rather die than confess his love for her - which is what he did on the stage too.

Khushi has longed to hear the words that Arnav spoke on stage and still left unsaid. Concsiously or unconsciously, she has longed to hear him say that ever since she first perceived the feelings in her heart for him; in explanation to the near-kiss; as an answer to why her engagement to another man mattered to him; when he shouted about his fear of losing her; when he got her the bangles; when he gave her the bindi; and even while she waited on the terrace.

She's longed just as he's longed.

~*~*~

Back to Arnav and Khushi:

Following his performance, he changed back into ASR at a moment's notice.

1. Khushi can't wait to get off the stage before she asks him to complete his last sentence. And Arnav is horrified that she's taken it seriously and wants him to complete his confession.

Arnav - near kiss, near wedding, near honeymoon, near confession. You gotta focus on Khushi's advice - COMPLETE IT!

2. Khushi follows him to the dressing room, where the transformation into ASR is ongoing. Yet Khushi's Arnav is refusing to settle down within him - if it's not Khushi, then he can stare at her earring and go mushy.

Khushi has always followed him for an explanation, always reaching out to him for an answer. He has always rebuffed her, and today was no different. She reached out on her own - to take her earring from him. He gave the earring, but no answer.

3. Khushi: What were you saying?
Arnav: That wasn't me. Those were Ranjha's lines.
Khushi: No. *Arnav already shocked* that was Arnav Singh Raizada.

Arnav, stop trying to fool the girl who can read your thoughts like a book. When Khushi was repeating your lines, you lost all his confidence. It was the face of a unsure, guilty schoolboy caught red-handed. You had to turn away to remain strong. Not only she knows that it was you who was talking on the stage, but she can also predict your next move - run away.

In fact, if she had the slightest doubt about it beng you, she didn't even have to go very far into your dialogs - your trademark 'Mujhe farak nahi padta' was pitched bang in the middle of your soliloquy.

4. Okay, that's it. She's gone far enough now. Arnav, you gotta shut up - time for ASR to leap out. Turn around and walk straight into her face, pinning her to the table.

ASR * Be afraid, be very afraid*: Nani forced me so I was on stage.
Khushi *Afraid can go take a hike*: Fine. Now leave just as you always do. *And I'll fume away*

The poor girl even threw the earring away. Nah, Khushi! You're not the one to give up. I know you felt like giving up on him. But hold on! Besides, he's such a prize, you'd really not want to let him go now, would you. Anyhow, you always knew this Majnu was stubborn.

She'd reached out in all earnestness, and you left her standing again - Arnav, you did just what you said you do - I left you and comforted myself thinking that nothing matters to me.

You ... you ... I'm fresh out of nouns and adjectives! But just you wait till I replenish my vocab!

~*~*~

Others:

1. Nani Ji: You've done great! Only you don't quite realize that you've set off a time bomb. This one's gonna explode quite near the ear too.

2. This is the second time, perhaps, that Anjali has been made VERY aware of how much Arnav loves Khushi.

3. Shyam was sure a mess:
The file is missing, the wallet is missing, the key is missing,
Khushi is on stage but Nani is missing,
Khushi is trying and patience with the audience is missing,
Dang it! Arnav is on stage with Khushi and I am missing!
And to top it, I have to witness the love story confession blah blah!
And to crown even that, I have to give a standing ovation!!
This is worse than what Arnav saw on the terrace between Khushi and me. He has a larger audience standing and applauding him. I protest!!

Creep, can't you do anything right? Standing ovation means standing and applauding. You again did only half the job!!

4. The WHOLE Raizada clan is now witness to the love once more. Creep still sees only what he wants to see. LOVED Mama ji's and Akash's shocked and pained reactions.

Precap:

We'd rather keep silent till we see it properly. Dialogs are sometimes not in the exact order or sequence.

Random Thoughts

She has always been irritated that he's always stopped short of accepting his feelings. And when he doesn't know how to respond, he looks angry and walks away.

Why must these two always disguise confession with everything except love?

I LOVED the contrast between Arnav and Khushi. He wants to escape again, and she expressly tells herself that cowards run away, and attempts to improvise.

When the misunderstanding started and there was news about Arnav being hurt, but it being healed soon, I used to think that after what Arnav saw on the terrace and more importantly, what Arnav understood, there is nothing that can heal his hurt - except the knowledge that Khushi loves him and had loved him all along, that there was never anyone else in her life and in her heart apart from him, and all this time, Khushi has been all about Arnav and Arnav only. Nothing will push him in the direction of knowing the truth, except knowing that everything he holds dear is not lost - it is all his and waiting for him.

Arnav, are you really turning out to be as I thought you would? C'mon! I'm not even into prediction. Prove me wrong!

yes, arnav is trying to lie to a girl who can read him like a book. but from where he stands, he should be shielding his vulnerability with walls and castles around it, right? if she is a cheater and finds out about his tenderness towards her, won't she walk all over his heart?

Brilliant Shalini, the fact that you have covered it all does not make me add anything else!
What closing lines👏

Nothing will push him in the direction of knowing the truth, except knowing that everything he holds dear is not lost - it is all his and waiting for him.

I am fairly new to this forum and ever since more than watching the episode I am very much hooked on to your analysis. The way you dissect each and every scene with sheer finesse is just mind blowing . Today's episode was very special and I was waiting to read your analysis...it was well worth the wait.

Thanks again and keep up the good work!👏

Very apt analysis...as usual...Love them all the time.

What I wanted to know was what was ASR/Arnav thinking when Khushi cried. Did he think that she got way too deep into the character of Heer and cried? Or did he realise that she was crying in response to the pain in his voice and his words?
I didn't understand ASR's reaction to that...Khushi understood that it was not Ranjha and questioned him..Shouldn't ASR be doing the same...and questioning Khushi...why did she cry?
Maybe he'd get some of his answers then...
