I don't understand how Khushi can piece together the puzzle and conclude Arnav is referring to her supposed affair with Shyam when she clearly did not have any such thing to hide in the first place. Yes, she hid the truth about Shyam being the PG in her bua's house who was engaged to her and duped her and her family. She hid it because she wanted to protect Anjali's marriage. Knowing Arnav's temper, she knew that if he comes to know what a two-timer his creep jiju was, he would throw him out and break his Di's heart.
When she realised how obsessive Shyam really was, she was all set to break the truth to Arnav but thought better when she came to know of Anjali's pregnancy. She thought that parenthood would change Shyam. Suddenly her world turned upside down when Arnav, the man she has begun to fall in love with and from whom she was expecting a love confession, suddenly blackmails her into marrying him clandestinely. Given that her sister's marriage was at stake, she had to comply with his unreasonable demand.
Till date she has not be told explicitly the reason for this sudden short-term marriage despite her resorting to all possible ways an 18 year old can come up with. She has been getting these hints that the forced marriage has something to do with her hurting him. Now how is she supposed to connect this dot with her confrontation with Shyam at the terrace a month back which was partially heard by Arnav, when she is not even aware that he was there in the first place?
Yes, she did briefly think that he could have come to know about Shyam's truth but she dismissed that idea because if he had come to know of it, Shyam wouldn't still be freely loitering in Shantivan disturbing everyone's shanti, would he? Knowing Arnav's vitriolic temper, Shyam would have landed in jail by now. That has not happened. She has not witnessed the scenes where Arnav glares at his jiju (either on their SR or today) because she herself was too caught up in her pain.
Even if Arnav knows about Shyam's truth, why would he be angry with her? She was as much as a victim as Anjali. So why should she be singled out for this choice treatment? If at all he thought she still had feelings for a man (which she never had in the first place), what was the point of marrying her and bringing her to live in the same house as that creep?
Any logical way Khushi would look at it will not get her to the bottom of this. The only way Khushi can figure out Arnav based on the so-called loud hints is if she can think as illogically as him. Does she really get the time to think crooked when she doesn't get the time to think straight?
In the meantime, the man who is supposed to be more mature, more experienced, more intelligent, more discerning of people can continue to have selective recollections and keep that shrewd mind of his in hibernation till he breaks the girl completely - body, mind and spirit.
Till then all we can do is wait, watch, bite our nails, tear our hair or just shut of the T.V.

Totally with you...a big example is when he had that crick in his neck and she did not give a hoot, she was bashed left right and center in the forum for being insensitive...and when he chucked her out the first night, excuses were made that he saw Shyam ogling at her so he lost it...

When the time comes for repenting, I can guarantee, that CVs will make Kushi all forgiving.
The 90% of the fanatics here will erupt into a volcano when ASR sheds tears in repentance and Kushi ignores him and walks away. Kushi will be skewered and I can see that CVs would rather have ASR fans stick to the show because of the sheer numbers rather than alienate them. Not sure if anyone agrees with me.
That is exactIy what is going to happen
