Why we get divided over Arnav and Khushi

I have asked this to myself 1000 times.

I love ASR's character too. I often feel Khushi should show love and care for him. I hate the fact she is not shown to be as intensely in love with him as he is with her.

But what divides many like me is the total unfairness of Arnav's treatment of ASR by Khushi. His lack of chivalry is often appalling. He often does the most unbelievably cruel things to her and doesn't apologize for it. I remember only a couple of apologies.

He often hits below the belt with dialogues on class and gold digging making him come across as a anob.

Despite all this his genuine love for Khushi, the fact that he is a little boy lost, desperately in need of love makes me love his character.

The way the CVs show both, it is impossible to remain passive and support both because the CVs show them divided and we get divided.

And to be honest I never can understand why anyone is against Khushi in this forum. She is all goodness and sweetness and childishness and silliness but so harmless. When she hurts him she promptly apologizes except for the neck sprain thing.

Again, I get upset when Khushi does not take care of Arnav or does not understand him truly despite so many months.

With issues like this and such inconsistency and flaws in both, it is fairly impossible to be an impassive viewer.

That's why the forum is so divided about them.

One good episode and we are team ARHI. One episode of Arnav ill-treating Khushi and we are team Khushi.

One episode when Khushi doesn't care for Arnav or his wishes , we are team Arnav (I still am not that because to me his crimes far outweigh her small ones.)

You know when they have these intense scenes and exchange of dialogues...
I just can't figure out exactly what the character is thinking until he or she says it...I mean I can understand what they're feeling... eyes, body language, face say it... but HOW hurt are they, and WHAT does Arnav see when he looks into Khushi's eyes...into how many pieces does Khushi's heart break every time Arnav says these ambiguous things and hurts her, accuses her??

Its been so many months..and our leads are still actually enigmas...we know how they'll react to something or what they will or won't like...but we just don't know what they're thinking...
I think that's what drives this show and us...we've investd a lot of emotion in this show..and since we don't understand the characters completely we are always in a dilemma about them...thus we oscillate between team Arnav and team Khushi..we love them both but just don't know who's right in what they're thinking!!

I always wonder why the love and care from Kushi's side is not shown more intensely as Arnav's. When the spoilers came on Kushi being ill and Arnav taking care of her i so badly wanted it the other way around! But i've come to accept that Kushi is not your regular lovey-dovey girl. Yes, she may play trip-catch-fall with Arnav but She 's a lioness in her own right. I feel she's just like a mother-cares for you the most, supports you, loves you but if you are in the wrong she'll leave no stones unturned to make you realize your mistake and rectify it! This is the best quality of her.

I must admit that as much as i drool over Arnav, he's one complex character which i'll never figure out! The more i think about him, the more i sympathize on why he's like this. Right from the first its the anger that has ruled his heart and mind. On rare occasions, a small child pops out of him. He's what he is(flawed and inconsistent) because the situation and society made him so-he made himself so. He's not a dark character but a grey one. Only after the entrance of Kushi has he started to open up and thinks of being happy. I feel that he's a small child who has been traumatized by so many situations that he's afraid of being happy. Only Kushi can bring back his happiness he lost as a child.

I guess the writers somehow want us to hate/be angry at Arnav at the moment so that at the moment of repentance we too will accept his apology whole-heartily as Kushi will.

I used to come to this forum because of the sensible discussions and the funny thoughts. But off late it has turned into Team Kushi and Team Arnav. I really hate it when Kushi or Arnav get bashed needlessly(seriously?! bashed for not being concerned about sprained neck??!).

For me its Team ARHI all the way!
