I think it might be safe to say after THREE consecutive REAL Rabba Ve's - gone are the fake and sad Rabba Ves😍
I think what worked in this episode and what the CVs need to take note of is Arnav wasn't working against Khushi but unintentionally working ALONGSIDE her against Shaym ... and there was a genuine shift from initial wedding drama as the family - every single member completely accepted the two.

Quintessential Khushi and her silent supporter😍
Firstly how does Sanaya manage to work every outfit that ever exists, whether it was Manorama's get-up or today Thakur Raizada, she looked stunning as per usual.
Then there is Barun in his white t-shirt *fans self* - swoon/drool/flutters/dhak dhak inducing as always😍 Khushi on bhang, I don't blame her if she gets carried away!
Khushi's patch-up with her family was a pleasant treat, as I said today's episode was all about acceptance and it began with the Gupta's accepting the past and reuniting with their daughter ... then came Nani's turn.
The song and dance sequence was quintessential Khushi, the ever people pleaser, her need to see everyone in glee and in celebration. What I love about Arnav's reaction when he saw Khushi's antics is the LACK of surprise and that knowing smirk illustrating that though she doesn't fail to surprise him he also knows her enough for these moments not to alarm or irritate him... It can be contrast with the previous "hate" track moments like these where Khushi would involve herself with his family would irritate him but in today's sequence he was rooting for Khushi despite declaring his "hate" for her - like the others he also looked alarmed at Nani's initial annoyance and rejection but couldn't help but give a completely genuine smile when Nani enveloped Khushi in her arms and forgave her.
Such a huge development from the man who used to accuse Khushi for wriggling herself into his family to today where he too wanted to see her accepted and showered with love. It's contradictory as on the one hand he views her as the woman who could be responsible for breaking his sisters home but on the other hand he wants to see her being accepted and forgiven ... perhaps it his underlying guilt!

The GENTLE Rabba Ve😍
In all honesty, I need a gif of the sexy, determined strides ASR took towards Khushi and her the lecherous Shaym - his expression clearing reading that he'll have none of it. Love the way LM directed this scene, Arnav's hand tightening around Shaym's hand preventing him from touching Khushi and then the shot where he stands in between both of them. Reminds me of the one the revelation episodes where there was a similar shot and Shaym kept barking "nothing will come between him and Khush" but Arnav stood directly in the middle. Nice parallel.
"Pati jo hoon." - The man seems to revel at the idea of being Khushi's husband when another man seems to be eyeing up Khushi just like he seemed pleased when Khushi addressed herself as "Khushi KG Arnav Singh Raizada" - then how can the CVs justify this 6 month track!🤢😆 Contradictions .. anyway that aside ...
This scene was so beautiful and congratulations to PH for their amazing background music collection, helps enhance the scenes so much more!
The gentle, instrumental Rabba Ve helped mirror Arnav's gentle strokes as he symbolically marked Khushi with the colour red. As everyone watched they only saw each other - Sanaya was brilliant in this moment because even though it wasn't Shaym but Arnav there was still a shred of fear and anticipation which is clear from the way Khushi tightly squeezes her eyes shut but when she feels his subtle and delicate touch she opens her eyes in surprise and seemed mystified. I don't call this moment fake romance (though it could be to some) because it seems Arnav is completely focused on applying it gently, a scorching look in his eyes which I always read as a man wishing that things could be different. It's the same look that bore into Khushi during the poolside Rabba Ve and when stopped at the mandir stairs seeing her tears. The one in his eyes when saw in his bed as bride during the Suhaag raat ..

Colouring in the bleakness/darkness😍
Then came the REAL Rabba Ve ok, I'm sure this scene will discussed in detail in many posts so I won't say much just leave you with the pictures to enjoy and add this sequence reminded me of Teri Meri - ok I know TWO VERY DIFFERENT scenes but I think the essentials and the jist of both scenes are very similar.
- Firstly the Rabba Ve reprise is played, just like it was played for the first time in Teri Meri
- ArHi have an audience - in the scene before with the "gentle" Rabba Ve - it seemed for ArHi it was just them two but in this moment everyone watched with baited breath as KKGSR did what most are never sanctioned to do, colour Arnav - and the way everyone claps and celebrates after she seals the deal and marks him as her own completes the tie of acceptance. As now both the Raizada and Gupta family accept ArHi's relationship completely, I loved the shots of each member smiling except Shaym and Manorama😆 Just like everyone clapping and cheering after the Teri Meri sequence.
The moment after when they both individually touch each others cheek, mirroring each other showing how well attuned to each other they are but also both of them acknowledging the first post-marriage moment of endearment between them. Up until now with all the wedding sequences they've either been warring against each other, arguing or forced together reluctantly under rituals but in this moment they were brought together and a part of them willing and cautiously felt for each other again.
Then Nani's words reinforce what GK is attempting to portray in this scene, that their love for each other will conquer any hate and anger they feel towards each other because it is more powerful and it reveals itself under their pretence of hate. Bound together ...😍
The silent smiles, hopefully a shift in the story from this taxing hate track I hope! Arnav seemed to be less haunted by the terrace scene and Khushi isn't holding grudges or can't deny she feels something when Arnav warms to her ...

Lastly there is one story development, the scene where Shaym wants to colour Khushi, I HOPE Arnav noticed Khushi's visible unease and disgust at the idea. When Arnav steps in between Shaym and her and assertively pushes Shaym's hand away I HOPE Khushi acknowledges that and connects the dots and realises that perhaps Arnav is acting this way because he knows about Shaym's truth! Come one!
Alright, I loved writing these after such a long time, I would have done so yesterday had it not been for ill timed lectures and me so distracted by Barun's BBC interview!
Would love to read comments and feedback guys!🤗 Happy as me? Or not so much?
Much love,
