ANGRY BREAD CRUMBS LEAD THE WAY TO REALIZATION

Like the story of Hansel and Gretel, who laid bread crumbs to find their way home, I present you Kushi, whose trail of bread crumbs lead her up to the doorstep of the Reason Behind the Marriage Fiasco.

POINTS ON THE EPI:

  1. Loved his heated dialogues at her. "Come with me this very instant!" ,"get into the car!" ,"She's my wife", "This is our personal matter" which we are discussing in public. Well, I don't care, because I can deal with my wife in private or public, wherever, however and whenever I wish to. Also his hubby-like demand of wanting her in their room was awesome! And he doesn't say 'his room', he just says 'come upstairs', which means 'where we belong together'.
  2. Loved the way he held her hand even though it was on the pretext of throwing off any suspicions from his family members of their estranged matrimonial relationship.
  3. Loved Kushi on the whole of the epi! Brilliant at the temple, marvelous at the Raizada Entrance Door, outstanding in the privacy of their bedroom, and stupendous in the Kitchen, of course!
  4. Akash and Payal have more roles to play in the future with regard to washing the stains seen by Arnav on Kushi: all the cues in the past few episodes lead to that understanding.
  5. Materialistic Mami, whose eyes are on the gifts as if Chritsmas season is in swing, is gloried for her targeting dialogues. Mami dear's sarcasm is helping to tune Arnav's senses a bit: to see how his marriage must look like to others' eyes and to get pricked at times directly or indirectly (through Kushi) with regard to what he had done. Happy Movie watching , Mami' and when you finish with it, please pass it on, coz we'd like to see if it is the video NK took and even if it is or not, we'd still like to search for clues to clearing our dear Kushi's name' Not that your eagle eyes won't spot it before us. You're good at spotting startling things!
  6. Anjali is moody and boring in this new stubborn-and-stone-faced avatar. She's got that love somewhere there, but her hurt is so visible that she penetrates pain into her words, and leaves behind a broken Kushi.

DIGGING DEEPER:

  1. Arnav and Kushi playing hide and seek: not exactly following the rules of the game because he had actually spotted her, stood right in her vision's span, and yet she kept on scooting away, ignoring the fact that he had actually seen her. This hide and seek was led by a 'determined' Kushi not a scared one. So looks like it was a sign of a possible future track where Arnav seeks to catch her attention, wanting to commit her to love him back, but the determined little 'joy'stick will play around, tagging him behind her, and yet resolutely ignoring his approaches. She will let him get frustrated, angry and maybe even bark at her in public, but she will not stoop low anymore. He had played with her feelings long; now it will be her turn. She will show him how much he wants her and she will make him confess to that.
  2. Arnav's open dialogues in the public: not only in the midst of his family, friends and relatives, but now here in the midst of a bunch of complete strangers, he has affirmed Kushi as his lawful wife. Looks like Mr. Deal has forgotten all about his unwritten contract marriage. His head has actually registered his relationship with Kushi as a valid one and when it is time to let go of her at the supposed expiry of the contract, all the times he unconsciously and consciously proclaimed her as his wife, will rush at him and he'll be thrown back at the force when he may have to watch her fight him back for leading her into a lame contract, that he never wanted in the first place.
  3. Arnav carrying her: Now why was that required? Let's look to a few seconds back. He dares the crowd in the temple, "Anyone wants to stop me from taking my wife home?" Of course, no one answers and no one makes a move, not because he is a hot- heated up tycoon, but because he is the husband of the woman whose hand he is holding. No one 'needs' to interfere. But after that question is thrown at the crowd, Arnav looks at Kushi. Why? Because if there is anyone who can stop a man from taking his wife home, it's THE WIFE! Yes, Kushi 'could' deny his wish to take her home. So what does he do? Carry her. Now this carrying is not meant to stop her from running away from him. She could have squirmed in his hands and slipped down somehow when his hands would have ached from her struggling. His carrying was to immobilize Kushi's anger, capture her attention to his love-like action, and also to amuse the crowd that what he had stated previously about her being his wife was cent percent true: Look how perfectly she fits into my hands! Also, he stops halfway down the stairs. To see what she thinks of him carrying her. To see how she's taking it. To see if she's okay. She has tears running down her cheeks having flowed from confused eyes. Her confusion at his action. Is it love? Or another one of his dramas? But his family is not here, so what or whom is he trying to prove? He can't be acting 'this'. He doesn't have to prove that I am his wife: I never denied it when he said I was before that crowd. Then why is he doing it? Love? But he said he hated me...Arnav sees that his wife is disturbed and weak by what he is doing to her mind. So he decides to carry her all the way down. Because whether she knows or not what he feels for her, he still wants her to be with him and he assures protection through his presence.
  4. The war in the car: Reminds me of the latest promo. Kushi tells him if he thinks that she won't just walk out of his stupid contract marriage. But he wordlessly makes sure that all doors are locked and there is no way Kushi can get out of his relationship. "Don't play a drama that you want to leave this marriage, Kushi!" On the other side, "And you don't play a drama of us being a happily wedded couple, Arnav Ji!"Again, "Shut your mouth and put your seatbelt on" meaning "Only say and do what I tell you to do...for the next six months."
  5. Garima giving Kushi's packages to Payal: "We can't take her back," is what the mother meant, "We're too weak to handle the magnitude of what Kushi has fallen into. So we are giving her into your hands, Payal. You and Akash have now the responsibility of watching over her and clearing her name."
  6. Garima giving a gift package in Kushi's name: "We still can't forgive her," continues Garima through that action, "But we still love her' only if she had told us why, could we have helped her to clear the shame on the families'"
  7. Arnav watching Kushi lag behind him as they approach the Raizada house: Kushi, quicken and stand next to me, will you? We need to straighten this mess, flatten Shyam and make an angel out of him, protect Di and save her baby and I need you with me every step of the way! We're going to carry on this massive mission TOGETHER!
  8. Arnav trying to hold Kushi's hand, when she withdraws but in the end he forcefully succeeds: obvious what that meant. We saw it take place a while later in the same epi. Arnav beckons her to play to his tunes, to obey his demands and act his wife. She stubbornly denies any part in the ploy. But the reminder about his family, particularly his sister, sets her to thinking that 'his sister' is probably the reason why he jumped into the marriage. Though Kushi doesn't know what the reason is, she senses every time Arnav says "for my Di" that he wants Kushi to be his wife not for Nani, or Mami or anyone else, but 'specifically for Di'. There starts the trail of the bread crumbs... and she wonders: what is the connection with his Di and my hasty marriage? But she doesn't delve too deep into the question, because he has pulled at her hand and she obeys mutely without giving much of fight. If Di is the reason, his reason must be valid: this is what Kushi is aware of, and which is why she is willing to lie to Di, play his wife, and dance to the cold rhythm of his demands.
  9. Arnav's phone warning: Reminded me of the day Lavanya had caught on the first clue that Arnav had something for Kushi. Kushi had been distraught in finding out Shyam's identity, ran away from the house, and Arnav was stressed up like a madman, trying to call her, but her calls remained unanswered. When finally she answered, his frustration (Don't you ever do that to me again, samji tum?) equaled with what he had currently been going through when she ignored his calls during the whole of his search that morning. And when she says "Don't touch my hand, don't talk to me with authority, didn't pick phone coz knew it was you, don't want to talk to you, don't want to stay here...etc etc", the hurt was evident on his face; but good that his hurt was camouflaged in a gentle stunned expression which permitted Kushi from not seeing the hidden hurt.
  10. Arnav's anger gives birth to a hint: His mother's letter, his sister, his Nani and even his Kushi have constantly reminded him and those associated with him that when angry, Arnav does not think. Yup! He gets carried away in the storm of aggression. He loses his control when his head is on fire. His tongue slips and his frustration betrays him to saying things that he later wishes he had swallowed. Proof? "Haan, mujey farak padtha hain, kyunki-" *fizz* anger fused. Another proof? "I said get out!" when she comes and asks him to take Lavanya back from their first break-up. We're losing track of thought here...oh yes, his "anger effects". Once again, Arnav's anger gave way for his tongue to say more than was required. "What about the hurt you gave me?" The bread crumbs are thicker here, and Kushi is following it up. "What hurt? When? How?" All these days, she had been mercilessly prodding him to tell him why he married her. But here, when his hint of an answer shows its head, she asks him in a tone that is understanding of his pain and seeking to aid him. He is helpless in the tone she uses and wishes to not unveil the truth, when voila! Who should enter but the eternal love interrupter Anjali Ji. But for Kushi, the crumbs are lain, spotted by her curious eyes and she's not going to falter from the path.
  11. Right up to Realization: No one! No one! No one in the Forum or out of the forum, regularly glued to IPKKND, and eating ArHi whole, would have dreamed to see the first rays of intellect to strike Kushi's tormented mind. Well it did, and she has marvelously thought it out. The pent up frustration and hurt over the past four days, was eating her alive and she had to exhaust her inflated worry via her regular stress-buster. Loved to see the old Kushi emerging. Jalebi Bai is upto her limits in making her sweets, and like always, her stress-reliving moments are consumed by torments of memories of what led to the jalebi-making. This time, her thoughts are haunted by the ghosts of her family and Anjali accusing her of causing hurt to the family. But what remains, like residue at the end of a hot burning tea, is her husband's own question of her hurting him. She pauses. I asked him why he married me, but he remains silent, and today he slips accidently that he was hurt by me. Again the screws and wheels in her young head work, striving to get an answer. When? How? Where? The one who knows the answers to all the questions I am being asked, has been hurt by 'me'? So is the answer to all the questions 'me'? How can he have married because of 'me'? What did I do? I love him and am like an open book to him. I have never hurt him in anyway. He knows something which he is hiding from me and our families. Something I probably shouldn't have said or done. What do I know that he doesn't? What is bothering him that he would marry me and ask me to play wife for his Di's sake? What is the link between me and Di? Then the wheels stop turning. She senses panic in the air. And surrounded by the sweet smell of frying jalebis, Kushi strikes gold and wonders if the 'hurt she gave him' can have any connection with the one truth she has hidden from him: the truth about Shyam.

Loved the precap!!!! Not because of being able to watch him fake flirt with her. But because of the dialogue she said before that. Kushi Bond is onto her mission: the unveiling of Arnav's intentions and the revealing of Shyam's faces.

Thank you very much shagun_sarun for your comment: and as usual you're the first one to make me smile on my appreciated hardwork. Sorry I delayed my post which I had intentions to put up last night but couldn't. There are other brilliant interpreters than me in the Forum who seem to have traveled through my line of thinking. All days may not be sunny, and sometimes our interpretations may not turn out to be brilliant and sparkly like the one before it. But since i had spent the whole of the night fantasizing and working on my interpretations, I had to post it least ways. smriti verma, thank you for finding it brilliant... Thanks again! Also to those who wordlessly 'liked' it. Totally excited about the coming week!!
