Barun breaths character in to ASR and after 2 years I am watching a show which ha gotten me sooo addicted that I even watch the fillers.

If Barun wasn't ASR then I don't think I wud have been watching this show coz no other actor interests me n Sobti has that charm which many people don't.

I would have watched the show even if it was KSG as Sanaya is my favorite but for sure I would have bashed ASR left right.LOL.

Honestly i wouldnt have started watching the show if it wasnt for Barun..

But the ASR character in itself is really beautiful, so many facets and Barun portrays them perfectly...

He has given life to ASR..

I might be in the minority but i dint hate ASR for what he did to kushi, not because im a Barun fan or ASr drooler or anyother names if anyone wanna give as i dint hate him😆.. I think i hv enough sense in me to knw what to like and wt nt to like and im not a blind supporter of any, but genuinely right now for me he is one betrayed lover boy, he feels kushi and shyam betrayed him , with shyam he is harsh as its related to his mind but with kushi its related to his heart, he tries to put up a hate facet but ends up confused and gets hurt as well if she is hurt...

This is what is happening from kushi's side, she wants to kwn y he is doing this to her, and he doesnt wanto confront her as he fears to listen to truth which according to him is that shyam-kushi love each other..

Arnav's mom said in her letter, gussa bardasht karlena aur pyar soodh sameth lautana for her bahu ..

He will certainly have a pay back time for the pain he has put kushi through now.. And when time comes his past wound wud be heeled by kushi i suppose, his wound is yet nt healed that's y he doesnt trust any..

Barun is the ONLY ASR ever, and I dont think Id be watching the show if it werent for him :)

However, that being said, fiction is different from reality. If I am defending a character, then I do it on the bases of their character, their role onscreen. As for the current bashing thats floating around, Im not much part of it and I choose to remain that way :)

Arnav Singh Raizada, is one of my favourite characters on Indian television, because with every layer you peel off, you see another..and its really inifinte. The credit for this does not only go to the writers who have penned thie role, but also to Barun Sobti for making us live through the life of ASR. Barun Sobti is the soul of this Arnav Singh Raizada.

Actually, Karan Singh Grover(ewww but no offence) was the first choice for the role of ASR but thank god Barun bagged the role instead. I mean, no offence to KSG fans but him. As Arnav? Were they mad. I totally agree with you btw. Thw show wouldn't be the same without Barun Sobti. He is officially the heartthrob of Indian Television. Where would all the fangirls or even haters be if it weren't for his fantastic acting chops. Barun all the way. But ur sooo right... ASR is being a completely obnoxious jerk and I hope he snaps out of it soon. Great post btw!!!

Nice post..KSG is the first choice for ASR..but He cannt do it...then it goes to BARUN...I hv never heard Barun Sobti bfore...and I like KSG a lot.. I was very disappointed bcoz I was really excited to see KSG and Sanaya together...

But now Barun as ASR ...😳..His Eyes and chemistry wid sanaya ...awesome..totally IPK addicted ..

I thing I can say that Barun improves a lot..bcoz I hv tried to watch his prev soap BHPH..but I dont like him..its only my POV..

This is a great question actually. In my situation, I've never ever watched an Indian serial with so much passion and obsession. I had seen bits and pieces of other shows, but never connected with the characters or story. Funny enough, my sister used to watch "Baat Hamari Paki Hai" with Barun, and I never really caught on to it. Even when I first started watching IPKKND, I didn't realize that Arnav was being played by the same actor from that show.

To me, what makes IPKKND stand out and irresistible, is the chemistry between Barun and Sanaya. I can't say that one stands out more than the other. They are BOTH tailor-made for their roles. I think if either one was missing from the show, it would not be the same, and I probably would not be watching. They both have the most incredible and expressive eyes. They can show so much without even saying a word.

Regarding the current storyline, I think what makes people empathize with Arnav is the way Barun plays him. It's not a one-dimensional portrayal. In a perfect world, Arnav would never want things to be this way. He had started to love Khushi. Whatever he's doing is to protect his sister. And, yes, he's being cruel by making Khushi marry him and then making her sleep outside, etc... But, he's tormented too by guilt and frustration. When he looks at Khushi, he wants to see the girl that he loved, but instead sees the image of Khushi with Shyam. The image of betrayal. Barun is able to express all these mixed emotions. If another actor was there, and didn't have the same ability, I don't think anyone would empathize would Arnav.

As a fan, I'm thankful that this show has such an amazing lead actor and lead actress. It makes it worthwhile to stick around through the rough times. I cross my fingers that it will get better with time.
