Asr was sitting in his sofa working on his laptop doing presentation for a deal he will be making tomorrow. There was a knock on the door, anjali walked in.</font>
Chote! Tum abhi bi kaam me busy ho, tumne hume promise kiya tha. Kya Di! snapped arnav.Kaal Akaash aur payal ki anniversairy hai, hume unhe ek surprise party dene hai, tum hume madat karni hogi. Just then anjali noticed arnav in deep thought staring into the wall, chote tume unki yaad arihai hain na? kuch nahi di hum tik hai! Snapped arnav! Lisen di I am really busy with this presentation, hum aman ko bol dehti hoon tumhari madat karni keh liye.
Arnav started contemplating what happen over a year ago, he remembers how he & his khusi kissed each other's cheeks over a sharat and then how he thought he lost her. He opens a drawer to his bedside cabinet where there is box with the bangles he gave that night, a tear draw down his cheek as he remembers how he treated her the day after & onwards. </font>
(re-living in the past)
Khushi was so devasted when she found out the reason why he married her, she tried explaining her side of the story to arnav several time but his ignorance just gave more her more insults & humiliation. In the end khusi became very depressed and lost in her own world. She started blaming herself for everything that has happened, she started thinking that if she didn't exist then shyam would never had fallen for her or betrayed anjali. She thought that if the Gupta's didn't adopt her then they wouldn't have gone through so much hardship & last of all she realised how arnav wouldn't have taken such a big step and neither his family would have been so upset with him. She was getting fed up of shyam making attempts to make move on her which has started to psychologically effect her. Everytime she tried to convince arnav, she would fail and infact the opposite would happen and prove his assumptions.</font>
Two months into the marriage which felt like it's been two years, everyone still ignored her when she spoke, never touched what she had cooked and the gupta family didn't want know her at all, payal goes to her maikeh but never tried to take khushi with her. One evening khusi just decided to walk out of the RM and she carried on walking not knowing where she was going or what she will do? </font>
The very next early morning there was a knock on the door of raizada house waking everyone of the household, it was police who have come to return some of khusi's belongings. They advised that a person handed it in at the police thaane, and also advised that this person saw the lady being chased after by some gundeh and on the way she was dropping these items as she was running up the bridge and then she suddenly jumped off to save her life. The police also advised that they had a search done over night in the river to find nothing! They believe that the current of the river was quite high so she would have been pulled away straight away. He handed over to arnav, her broken mangalsutra and her keys that she carried on her waistline and a locket with a picture of her and arnav init. </font>
This shocked the whole family including arnav, he felt like he driven her to her death but it was worse when he saw that she wore a locket with his picture in it. He stormed out & went off for a long drive. When he returned, he noticed the family paying the respects with khusi's picture in front with a haar on it. Suddenly shyam got up and charged upto arnav claiming that if it wasn't because of arnav then khushiji would have been alive today!!! And if he didn't force khushi marry him then we could have been together right now, this surprised the whole family and payal stood up stormed over "kya bakvaas kar rahi ho"! main sach hi to kah rahin hoon, arnav ne tumhari shaadi ki vaaste deke khushi ko majboor kiya shaadi karne keliye. Replied shyam. Kya! Payal turning to arnav with a disgusted look in her eye. Kya yeh sach hai arnav bhai, kya apne khushi ko majboor kiya tha! Arnav just stood there looking to the floor with red shot eyes with no answers.
Main patati hoon, explained payal tumhare yeh patidev ne hamari parivar ko dokha diya, yeh humari so called paying guest hai! Jo khushi ki mangeetar thi! Jab khusi ko pata chala woh apki paati hai, woh yeh mangnee tor dee! Aur baad me jab woh apko pataani ki koshish kithi tab usneh dekha aap kitne upset ho jab apki malgalsutra tutah tab usneh realise kiya keh yeh saach aap bardaast nahi kar sakti! Is liye woh sabko chupayee!</font>
Suddenly babuji started stuttering, garima and bhuaji turned to shasi, kya hua nande kishore! Then shashi explained in his broken word, Ha'aan j jab h humme p paat ta chala key yeh sh sh shadi sh sh shuda hai yeh haame marne ki ki kisosh kitih, isliye ye yeh m mera h haalat ha hai! </font>
KYA! Akash questioned and took shyam by the collar, PAYAL poice ko bulao!</font>
Then suddenly anjali fainted and everyone rushed her to the hospital, anjali lost her baby due to the shock that she absorbed. Arnav crushed down on nani's lap and wailed out a cry, he had no words to describe how he felt.</font>
Nani comforted him as she cried and said that we are all her gunehgar aur hum kuch nahi kar sakti kyun ki khushi betiya ab hume kabi nahi milenga kyun ki woh chali gayi, woh bilkul tumhari maa jaisi thi and nani wailed a cry!</font>
Arnav snapped back to the present, he put back the bangles in the drawer and locked it with the key which was returned from the police, yes those keys that she kept on her waistline. She carried the key to keep safe the only valuable thing to her was those bangles. Arnav pulled a locket from under his shirt which was the locket which belonged to khushi, he opened it and kissed khushi's picture and said, you may have left me but my love is always here for you but I don't why I still sense you still are here, somewhere and I will find you! His heart started beating.</font>
