i am still surious with last night's epi...i still am...😡😡😡😡😡not that i expected anything better for the gupta clan...but why was payal wailing???...is it because RHI managed to steal the thunder yet again...

Arrrghhh! 😡 😡 😡 Not sure anything I say will capture my reaction to this episode better than that expression!

Sush, it's ironic that the question you raised yesterday about whether IPKKND is a different soap was answered decisively by the creative team with a resounding NO!

It's not that the emotional manipulation or angst or extreme distress that bothered me --- I was expecting it--- but it was the way it was executed. The team takes the trouble to paint a picture of happy, supportive families (not flawless, but largely loving and accepting) and then in the blink of an eye they're reduced to OTT, irrational, emotional caricatures. What a waste of 9 months! I can think of at least 3-4 ways of delivering an emotional punch without insulting the intelligence of audience by portraying ALL the Guptas and ALL the Raizadas as you say LOSERS and vicious and cruel ones at that.

As for the wedding itself revealed thru flashbacks, it brought to mind Diya's analysis in her last "The Week That Was". This was about punishing Khushi - "You believe in the magal sutra and the sindhoor, don't you?". Now take this mockery of a 6 month long pretend marriage solemnized in the presence of your beloved devi maiyya. It's payback for your betrayal.

Shweta, how about that wind machine huh? It was in over drive at the mandir. I could've used a scene with Khushi tripping and Arnav catching her. In this angst filled world the writers could've thrown us a bone. 😆

I feel betrayed by the writers! I realize that Khushi needs to touch the nadir before she rises to the summit, but like this??? Really??? No one, but no one is left with any semblance of respect of dignity. Ratna, they didn't do Arnav/ASR's character any favors, huh? Mr. Hotshot left the fragile and vulnerable Khushi to face the ravenous wolves.

I do get that this is a TV show where TRPs are everything. Apparently (I think!) this kind of melodrama plays well in that regard. So I don't expect TV shows to try to change society's values or try to uplift them. But is it too much to ask that they don't try to evoke the base, the most ignoble traits of human nature? Nature vs Nurture? Khushi as Annie orphan has to make a reappearance?

At the end of the epi, I was left with the question of what just happened. Sure a wedding that is a hole in the corner affair hurts Bharatiya sanskar and family values. But ArHi didn't go all Bonnie and Clyde on us and commit theft and murder did they? They eloped ---- is that cause to wring our "Khushi" by the neck (pun intended!)?

Sush, great song. Enough with the tears, ArHi. It's time for Khushi to get her groove back. I'm not sure I'll easily survive another epi like this. Writers, don't let me down...

Sari, I was not mollified by the precap, but your comment about tight butts brought a whole new appreciation to the scene 😆

Shwets, Ratna...yes...it was harsh to Khushi...she deserved better...but these are not normal circumstances...and if in thatmuch distress he could think of going to Madir to get married...thats Arnie boy already recognizing what matters to her...I know, I know...that was really not a treat...but her real mother was there girls...DM...that has more emotional significance than the entire Gupta and Raizada clan puttogether or any number of countless guests...

Him saying that the marriage is for the world...was like saying I am not doing this to sleep with you...Hmmm...so was that a sacrifice or a rejection...you guess...😃

Sheila...No it wasn't a mockery of her faith...it was a statement...HERE ...YOU GET YOUR MS AND SINDOOR ...NOW WE ARE MARRIED...OK? A statement that he does not care for those tings but an acknowledgement at the same time that she does...so it was essential for her to have it to go to the next phase...

Sush, I hope you're right, I like your optimism. I guess I'm not ready to give Arnav/ASR as much credit as you are - he needs to scale some cognitive and emotional peaks to make it up to Khushi before I give him benefit of doubt. Meanwhile, I'm willing to admire his fine form and tight butt - as Sari so rightly pointed us to! 😆😆😆

Yes..the wind was was blowing with added power today 😆

I am tired of symbolic rituals...teej fast breaking, chunni landing on head, bandagement, accidental writing of A in her mehendi and now this insulting temple marriage...insulting because of the harsh and cruel words Arnav threw in Khushi's face...not to mention, no reason given for his meherbani of getting her to the temple.

I read a spoiler somewhere that Anjali will insist on Arhi taking pheras at home...I hope it is true! I want this incomplete wedding to be given an honorable completion...pheras, mantras and this time blessings from the family.

And most of all...to show Arnav that something as holy and significant as a marriage cannot be ridiculed and finished via a hasty shortcut.

By the way ladies... Sunday night there was a two hour special on SP on the entire month worth of IPK which had highlights of all essenatial scenes starting from Teri Meri. It was a good recap and good to see that the channel is paying attention to it.Now is that bad ot good it is still to be seen as I want IPK to stay the way it was rather than the cliched path they have set out to deliver.

I want my ArHI back 😭😭😭😭😭

Zu... I too saw the divine marriage... I watched the scene atlest 10 times... ( I never do this...:) and had goosebumps...! I think it was perfect...

And when he says...the marriage does not mean a thingto him...it is in same vein as when he said...the Deewali kiss didnot matter to him...When something matters to him...the fisrt thing he does is that he announces...it doesn't...THATS ARNIE SPEAK my friends..

Sush I agree with you 100%...He CHOSE to get married at a Mandir when the ASR mode would have been a pre-nup contract/a live in proposition. To me his heart is in the right place...just his brain needs to catch up 😆😆
