Few thoughts floating in mind...might not be so coherent plz excuse...considering...the state of mind im in ;)

1. Abla Jeevan hai teri yehi kahani !
Aanchal mai hai doodh aur aankhon mai paani !

These famous lines by national poet "Maithili Sharan Gupt" written many years ago are still apt for today's women? "food for thought"😊
(Not overtly dramatizing Khushi's present state and not saying IPKKND is here for conveying social reforms..) But couldn't resist thinking what happens to her after 6 months? She is ruined big time !! Family lost, respect lost, trust in love relation lost, status? married? unmarried? seperated? divorced? 😲

Just think of women's situation, both in eastern(female foeticide, dowry, eve-teasing to the extent of throwing acid, voilation in and out of relation etc ) and western (battered/voilated/abused women) society and try to apply the above lines of poetry...!
(not applicable to all women but we might be surprised if we see the data)
(most of us are lucky to be in loving secure and safe environs but think of the unlucky ones)

2.Blood Relation?
Goes to show what ever sacrifice you do, whatever you give up for bloodless relation is never good enough for them. The moment you slip, they are ready to bring you down. If you are their own flesh and blood, there might be chance you'll be forgiven or given benefit of doubt. Think about this...its applicable to many relations in our society...

Applying it to IPKKND, when Guptas could not be Khushi's pillar of strength in this hour of need, how and what can we expect of Raizada's? Anjali/Naani questioning is futile when Garima/Bua are not able to comprehend Khushi's situation.

3. Arnav's character is human after all...a flawed one with few shades of gray. He has a good heart overshadowed by many negative experiences..which turned him into a shrewd and smart businessman, definitely not selfless, victim of circumstances, dark past which still horrors him, shouldered responsibility at tender age, turned bitter, lost faith in love and trust...

Had just started believing in love and virtue but got blinded by rage and resentment, feeling deceived...losing his world...his Di's happiness and losing his love...forced him to take this blinded unjustified decision. He is an erring human guided by his own selfish reasons, rage, jealousy and betrayal made a wrong decision to use a living being as a means to an end. He will repent...will be forgiven and we will watch the story and witness the triumph of good over evil, selfless over selfish, love over hatred...that's our show IPKKND

4. Khushi--who is epitome of goodness, laughter, radiance, virtues, selflessness, love, positivity has been ruined by one decision of the only person her heart felt for! She will suffer, cry, fight and come out of it...how...that remains to be seen.

She is 19 smth..so studied till 12th? Do you think if she was graduate/post graduate... still in college/working as team lead in call center😉 would she still be so gullible? Wouldn't she then question Arnav of reasons even if she gets ready for marriage for her sister's sake. How would La who was labelled as a shallow bimbette in the begining of the show, react to this situation proposed by Arnav?

thanks for reading

I know i'll find a lot of tomatos and slippers coming my way... but hey, i also liked the fact that ASR or Arnav is all too human...he does make mistakes...
I don't like him leaving her alone at the hall 😡...but it kind of reminds me of reality...imagine what he has been trhough these two days...thought he almost lost Khushi 😲 , thought he lost his Di 😲, almost completed the "faraq padta" sentence ❤️, found out about his Jijaji and Khushi 💔 and also that his Di is expecting ... how much can a man handle?

That poem did not apply to all women then and it does not apply to all women now.
The question is the women to whom it applies to then and now. How much has the percentage changed?
In my country it depends a lot on the social class of the particular person. Social class that is financially defined.
Behaviour from khushi's family was expected for me...if they could say you are not my blood to an orphan before, I knew they will say it again. Thinking it would be Garima not buaji. She is the one who forced her to get engaged to Shyam and never said sorry. Khushi never said you could do this to me cos you are not my blood...

Yes ASR/ Arnav is all too human...can make mistakes...we all do. In we fact that's the way to grow...learn from your mistakes and make your path and don't repeat the follies. And people change, we are not the same as we were 2yrs back..our experiences and how we deal with them make us a better or worse person after that event.

So why the furore about what and how Arnav is doing? I guess mostly because its shown on television and the influence of this media on society is BIG ! Now if the wrong actions of Protagonist are shown to be justified, there ought to be some hullabaloo from a section of society. Some might enjoy, some ignore, some try to copy and some will remain indifferent.

Now the TV/cinema media follow the society or lead the society is highly debatable and also depends upon the individual and her perception. What if the youth decides to follow the actions of the said protagonist?

So we might find Arnavs amongst us, and their behavior will be dealt with, but Arnav on TV, dragging and punishing, blackmailing innocent Khushi will not go very well with audiences even though they know the end will be different. 😊

@minihussain--Forgot to comment about the second part of ur post. You are right about what he has been through past these two days ( tho not justifying what he did to Khushi..that's a big no no from me 😆 ) Just wanted to mention for newly weds it takes a while to get used to another person in their home, in their room, sharing their things provided they are not already living together prior to wedding. For guys its common in movies or dramas to show them fluttering around their brides , which is true in some instances😉 but it takes time for him to remember to include his wife in each and every step. 😃
