This might be reading a bit too much into Arnav's character, but who can help it?! The way Arnav looks at Khushi is completely different from how he looks at Shyam. I was expecting him to have that feeling of disgust, but for some reason I cannot find it. He's definitely stern with Khushi but certainly not disgusted by her. Even the angry look he shot at Garima when she slapped Khushi is not how he looks at Khushi. The way he looks at her might be ineffable in concrete terms but I fail to see it as the look of anger or disgust.
This leads me to question whether Arnav truly believes that Khushi has betrayed him. If he thought so, why didn't he ask her the crucial question despite being all alone with Khushi on the poolside. Okay, even if we think that he would not ask Khushi about the truth of what he saw if he has believed it, at least he should have asked, "Why/how could you do this?!" Is this the same ASR who never failed to remind Khushi of her 'auqaat?' Could he then not tell her that she has proven her low-class, despicable mentality yet again?
Arnav never gives her the chance to speak. He is keen to interrupt her when she says "And I thought you would…" I somewhat felt that he knew what was coming next so he better stops her before she says it.
After they return home, Arnav earnestly looks for Shyam's reaction when he spills the beans. Not even once he looked at Khushi. Had he thought Khushi and Shyaam were equally guilty, he would have expressed that feeling of satisfaction upon seeing Khushi in pain. On the contrary, he tries to avoid looking at her. One would only do this if he believes that he has wronged the person.
The sharp mind of ASR is not to be undermined either. Despite her careless nature, Khushi was able to doubt and confront Shyam. As discussed earlier by some prudent forum members, Arnav has enough pieces of evidence to conclude that Khushi is not part of this game. The CVs seem to be careful about what the show in terms of signs at least. We could not easily figure out that Khushi's mehendi, the red lehenga, etc, were all hinting at her unexpected marriage. Likewise, her encounter with Arnav right after learning about Shyam must have some significant meaning.
We are then left with the question, "Why would Arnav hide it from Khushi?"
My guess would be that Arnav is convinced he cannot have Khushi, so it's best for him to keep her in the dark about his intentions. This would make her hate him and somehow easier to forget him as well.
I must admit that I have not watched a couple of episodes after Arnav witnesses the terrace scene (Yes. This is the longest period for which I could boycott the show!). Hence, I might have missed something that clearly indicates Arnav has misunderstood Khushi and thus accuses her of betraying him.
