I have been reading the views of some of the members here and other forums ...
things like ... he is worse than Shyam, he is the negative character of the serial and so and so forth...
The reasons given
Shyam is only obsessed with Khushi and has never hurt her physically. Where as Arnav has only brought misery to Khushi for no fault of hers. He has not even saved her from the anger of her family despite the fact that he has forced her to marry him.
My dears have forgotten that there is a whole lot of difference in the basic character of Shyam and Arnav.
Shyam the creep is a free loader and married Anj only for her money. Arnav is a self made person and has worked and continues to work hard for the family.
Arnav is compassionate and kind. We have seen it when he helped the little girl in the temple. He actually mellowed down with Khushi after her seeing her in her house with her sick father (to talk about Payals ristha). He paid the hospital bill of Khushi's father. Even with Lavanya, he always gave her a fair deal - be it setting expectations or releasing her from the engagement when he knows that he has feelings towards Khushi.
Shyam actually physically hurt Khushi's father and is directly responsible for his illness. He even resorted to blackmail to get money from Anj. Above all he is now on the path of actually taking someones life.
I would like to know from all our dear friends who are comparing - WHERE IS THE COMPARISON.
Agreed, Arnav is not being fair to Khushi - but even he is equally hurting and is in equal pain. He is being questioned by his family too. He is not blaming anyone nor revealing the true reason. Remember, he is pained by what he assumes is Khushi's betrayal.
He is a man with more character than many two timing men we see around. He has a cruel streak in him because of his circumstances in the past and the lessons life has taught him!!
