I think the reason why arnav has married khushi is:

ONE and most importantly he is in Love with her and a Biz man who believes ki if u love someone..usse kharid lo(1st promo)he gets wat he wants..by hook or crook..he thinks 6months is a good period for Khushi also to fall in love with him adn when she does..he will ask her to go to hell...atleast he can then be sure that she will not go abck to Shyam...

SECOND keeping both Khushi and shyam under one roof to ensure no harm comes to his sister..If shyam harms his sister..he knows how to hurt shyam ,...BY HURTING khushi..

hence the contract period of 6 months..

But what he doesnt reaslise is...in the PROCESS he is gonna be passiionately, hopelessly in love with Khushi tooo and will not be able to let her go..hence Mohabbat door jaane naa dey..
