With garlands around their necks, with sindoor in her maang, they both walked inside the house. Slowly, to the shock of everyone engrossed in the post marriage gaities of Payal's and Aakash's wedding. All that was told to them was that once they both were sure of what they want, they didn't want to wait any longer. They also didn't want to disturb anybody in the ongoing wedding of Payal & Aakash. Nobody dared to question 'Chote' and they were happy enough that he finally got married and that too with Khushi. All Khushi told her family was that when "Arnavji" asked her get married right now, she just couldn't say no to him. Everyone, except one, was happy with the turn of the event.
Once everything was settled, Khushi walked towards her room, the one from now she would share with her Arnav. She recollected everything that happened before they decided to get married.
She had finally got Arnav to herself during the wedding festiviites. She explained everything to him about Shyam. What kind of two-faced, deceitful man he is. How he has been harassing her, trying to get married to her. Arnav had listened to her. He had gone quiet for a while and then had told her that his sister is pregnent. He had asked her to get married to him so that together they could save Anjali from heartahe that Shyam could give her at this point if he still believed that he could marry Khushi. She had agreed. In her heart she loved him dearly and was happy that he placed his trust in her. But she couldn't really understand why Arnav had rushed things so much.
Meanwhile, Arnav was also pondering on the events of the last few hours. Khushi had got hold of him and have started telling him about Shyam. She told him how Shyam had deceived her and her family into getting engaged to her . He listened to her but couldn't really. He tried to understand her but could only remember how she told Shyam to break off with his sister. He went quiet for some time. And then he asked her if she would marry him to save his sister from heartache at this point. Once she had agreed he had rushed everything. He didn't want to take any chance of Shyam getting to her and making her change her mind. So they had gone to an Arya Samajh temple and had got married there.
Now he was in his bedroom. Their bedroom. Which has been decorated with flowers and scented candles just for them. In between all this she stood. Looking exquisite. His heart skipped a beat. He could not help himself but remember all the beautiful moments they had shared together. Were they just that? Moments? Or was there something more to it? They had come to mean a lot to him. Whether he means something to her...he hopes that he does, desperately wants her too...And so he goes to her, wanting to make her his in every possible way...
In the morning Khushi was helping to set up the table for breakfast despite protest from everyone in the Raizada household to not do any work on the first morning of her as a Bahu of the family. Once everything is set, nani asks her to get 'Chote' for breakfast. Remembering and blushing over what had happened between them last night, she goes up towards their room to get him downstairs.
Arnav had got ready and was putting his jacket on. There's a sharp knock on his door and Shyam enters. His eyes are like burning charcoal. He comes up to him and says "Don't think that by marrying Khushi, you could keep us apart. She is mine and will remain mine. I will see what both you and your sister could do to keep us apart. I don't care two hoots about that sister of yours and the baby that she is carrying. I will see to it that I set myself free from all the bindings. Then no one can stop from Khushi and me being together."
For a moment Arnav went pale listening to him. He saw before him a crazed man. His only obsession being Khushi for whom he could go to any extend. Nothing will stop him. Understanding him fully well, with great restraint he went to him and in a quiet voice said "You listen to me carefully. All I care in this world is my Di. All you care in this world is Khushi. Khushi is my wife now. I have total control over her. You harm my Di in anyway, if you hurt her even in your imagination, then believe me you would be so sorry for your Khushi. She wouldn't know what had hit her."
He was going to add more, when he heard a scuffle near the door. As he looked up he saw Khushi standing there wearing a red-green sari. The blood had gone from her face. She looked sick. Her eyes held the pain of dreams being washed away. She was stupefied. He wanted to run up to her and hold her, reassure her. His eyes tried to appeal to her, "Didn't you feel something special between us last night. It wasn't a mirage. It was real. Born out of our heart." But it was too late...
