It is easier to become a household name by acting in a TV serial than being a second grade hero in a third grade Bollywood flick . Unfortunately that is what happens to most of the TV stars .

SRK came to Bolllwodd 20 years back . Times were quite different then . And SRK is a very very shrewd and clever business person. He can joke aiout his bisexuality in public gets away inscathed and with full honour . He did not adapt to BW ways , Bollwood adapted itself to make SRK successful .

i agree with Sunaina..just my gut feel ..Barun comes across as a very simple person with middle class values ...to make big in bollywood you have to make all kind of compromises ...not sure he can do it ...

that being said he is a very hard working guy ...and is definitely good looking ...maybe he gets that one teeny weeny chance and luck favors him ..time will tell... God bless him...

I think he would definitely make it in Bollywood. I would support him all the way. I used to like him a lot in BHPH as Shravan but I love him as Arnav. He's got all the potential needed and is an amazing actor.

For suree! He has the potential to make it BIG in bollywood!!

and I wish him all the luck for that.

However, with that being said, Bollywood is a messy place and from what I know of Barun, he doesnt really wanna go there...I mean he surely does want to become this mega bolly star, but he knows what the real world is like. Also, hes always mentioned that he's happy with the way things are going and he takes one day as it comes, so for me it doesnt really matter if he goes into bollywood, because for me he's already passed SRK, Hrithik or any other bolly star.

To stay in character and give us 30 mins episode 5 days a week is TOUGH and he's carried this MARVELOUSLY!! So Kudo's for that to Barun Sobti. And, Im just happy that I get to see him everyday (and get bonuses of his interviews as well).

Of course he might not be able to make movies with very big banner movies, YRF is still a long shot, but he can do off beat films, something that is not very commercial but magnifies his talents. Actually the reason for diffculty in entering bollywood especially from a TV back ground is because the image of the actor has formed in the minds of the audience. Even after acting in Fauji SRK came to the silver screen after a big gap because it was necessary to fade away that fauji or circus (serial) image of SRK from the mind of audience and then launch. He is a big time hit till today. Another example was Ritu aka Mahima Chaudhry, who use to host the programs with Roshan Abbas and was called as Ritu, suddenly disappeared from the TV industry and after a big gap, almost when she was forgotten as the TV host Ritu, she was launched as Mahima in Subhash Ghai's banner Pardes. People liked it.

Since now bollywood also gives a lot of opportunities to the new comers, I have a feeling that Barun will surely be getting an opportunity like these two and would make it there. At the end of the day, if you have a talent, you will not go unnoticed.

hnestly i dont want a tv actor to try in bollywood

coz until or unless u hv sheer luck

it just ruins the creer of the tv actor completely

and why the hell does everything has to end in bollywood

tv is no less big either

in todays world

a filmstar and tv star gets equally mobbed in public

so WHY DOES EVERY1 WANTS TO LEAVE TELLY

by going after bolly mant reknowned actors ruined their areer

like rajeev khandelwal...ejaz khan..iqbal khan

they were such a rage in tv

but where r they now

na ghar ka

na ghat ka

i dont want barun to face the same situation

want him to do more shws in diff genres

barun can definitly be in bollywod.he will be the hottest there.i want him to work on tv because i want to see him every single day.i barely even watch hindi movies😆

i dont think i can wait long enough to watch a movie of barun!! i cant survive through the weekend!uff

though i am sure he will be the next srk of bollywood i dont really want him in bollywood!:))

would Love to see him on big screen..but I think he might not choose that Carrier for himself..just my opinion..But I definitely want him to reach on the Top in Telly-wood where everyone just want to sign Barun Sobti for their next show..
