He had taken over the role of her best friend-confidante. But when she refused to tell him what her fiance did to her, he felt that he had lost her trust in him. He felt that he had hurt her so much that she didn't trust him to make things right.
She had started to explain "Unhone Hamare Saath" (before the FBs) & then stopped abruptly.

this scene touched my heart and probably touched every arshi fans heart
arnavs dialouge was amazing and also arnav acted it out amazingly
good job barun 4 bieng a fabulous actor

rest is all great but what does he mean by mujhe pata hi nahi chalta...what kind of an excuse is that?i didn't get it because he did almost everything knowingly except falling in love.

I will have to disagee-sorry in advance 😊

Whenever he has dealt with Khushi he has not been in control of his emtoions-hence the eye closing regret scenes we see. He also asked out loud in the car after the boutique scene-as to why does he do things out of his charatcer and why does she make a difference or something along those lines...

He has been questioning himself since he felt the attraction which was when she began working in his office.

Examples:

ASR asking himself:Why does it make a difference when she cries?

La:saying don't you think you're giving her way more importance than needed?

He has been so confused that I believe he really does not knwwo what he is doing in the moment. He immediately realizes after the words are out or the deed is done but its too late...i.e. "aisa hi hoon mein"

We all know that he loves her and wants her SOOO bad but he does not know the depth of his feelings for her and whenever he comes close to it he does not admit it and gets mad that he FEELS!

Also, when Khushi said, it made no difference to her if he got engaged or not, and also when she got engaged he was very angry and just acted on it without thinking!

When it comes to Khushi he is lost...

And his worry over her absence had made him tell her over the phone that he was looking for her to do some work related to the engagement. She had been opening up to him till that point, but she then quickly finished the call.
I think (as u pointed out) that the confession La got was meant for Khushi.

Im trying so hard to not watch it this week and then watch it all together end of the week but its so hard! I miss Arnav and khushi scenes tooo much!

It was soo hard watching shayam and khushi! my god all I kept sayn in my head and especially when khushi was listening to him was.. well I wont go there! hehehe

i cdnt wait to see what Arnav does and man did my heart stop beating wen he was saying all that at the end!!!

Anyway sorry I waffle on a lot, but thank you once agen coz its made me go more gaga over him now!
