Thodi dal humein bhi bhej dijiye...hamare liye to seven samandar paar karne ki zaroorat nahin, zyaada jaldi pahunch jaayegi 😉

i did nothing for pongal :D i sat and ordered my mother around till she promptly shut the door on my face...resulting in nothing special for the festival...im hoping tomo will be a better day...else it will be restaurant bought ;-)

Toh Mum se panga liya...😃...awww...I miss my Mum...being so far away means you can't take pangas...

A Malyalee colleague got idli-sambhar for us yesterday and I didn't have to cook...I asked him if it was Pongal ke uplaksha mein but he said no...

@Shweta: Nothing beats basmati...maybe that is why I get the brown basmati rice...😃

@vistaa : pongal mein they make something thats similar to khichidi... and there are different varieties of it...

i pref the sweet one most...for obvious reasons :) its called chakra pongal...literally translated to sugar pongal (sweet) pongal i guess means boiling...not sure :P

wah...wht a traditional child i am...knowing exact details abt festivals...
