Forum fans VS TRP contributors.

I have been less active on the forum for the past one week or so and JUST found out our show is out of top 10. Fluctuations can happen since our show faces tough competition and slipping out of top ten once in a while isn't such a huge deal.

But I am actually a little surprised that the trp's dropped now. As far as I remember, we got decent episodes for the past two-three weeks. The last ME was fabulous and after that we had quite a few good episodes. Yes there were fillers and certain epis dragged but let's face it, every episode can't be flawless. We have to accept that if we want to continue watching.

I think the present track is pretty sensible and the show is going in the right direction. And on top of that we had some intense moments and some fabulous acting by Sarun. IMO this is not the time for the trps to drop.

I am surprised because when the Shyam-bubuji torture track was on, the trps were much higher but now when we're getting to see better stuff the trps are dropping.

Our forum is full of sensible people and I think the majority of the members agreed that there have some great moments in the show for the past two weeks. Those who write the episode analysis regularly praised it and mostly gave positive comments.

I am personally enjoying the present track and I have no issues with La-ASR engagement track or Arhi playing cupid for payash track or the occasional glimpse of Anjali's brain. Anything and everything is better than Shyam's torture. I think this whole Shyam fiasco is a blooper on its own. It makes no sense and I almost always skip those parts and watch other scenes.

When the cv's dedicated 10 minutes of each epi to show us a paralyzed man being abused, the trp contributors watched and kept the ranks higher. But now when the story is progressing in a far more sensible manner the ranks are slipping.

What is causing this? Who are the trp contributors actually? Is there a huge difference between the sensibilities of the forum fans and the trp audiences?

Would love to have a discussion on this. Please leave your comments.

IPKKND is one of the better shows if not the best (though it's the best IMO).

If not for anything else, do this for Sarun/ Arhi. They are amazingly talented with sizzling on-screen chemistry. They deserve all the success in the world.

Yeah I am really shocked after hearing this. But as far as I know this LA ASR engagement track might have a little something to do with it.

I am not sure but many of my friends from India was dissappointed with the track and I know for a a FACT that many of them are watching another 8 pm show of Sony now. They even encouraged me to watch that BUT honestly I love IPK and its the only show I watch. So I have no intention of doing that. Anyway I live In USA and I dont know IF I can contribute to the TRPS any way or not.I watch it through Dish everyday at 8.

My friends in USA do not watch IPK mostly to be honest. They are more towards some other serials in Sony and Star. I encouraged them about IPK and only sometimes they watch it.

My mom in law who is actually is a fan of Barun from BHPH days ( well she is the one who encouraged me to watch the serial even before it started. she was visiting me in USA and saw the promo)tried to watch it skipping something called BB in colors BUt she found LA training track😆 really stupid and LEFT🤣

My sis in laws HATE LA living in RM and they say that the LA ASR engagement plot is boring🥱 and overused.😆

Honestly I dont like LA ASR enagaement tooo but Payash track is outstanding . I am kinda confused though that Arhi seems completely oblivious about their feelings for each other.

The only reason I am not shocked at La-ASr engagement track is because I was expecting it. 😆 I am glad ASr is not some rich random angry young man without a purpose...and does not some unexplained hatred towards women. 😃

It's normal for a guy his age to have a gf whether it's due to love or other reasons. 😉 I also like watching love triangles.

Yes La training was really stupid but wasn't the trps much higher when that track was on ??

I am Payash track supporter from the beginning because it's necessary to have logical parallel tracks.

You know have done quiet some reserach on this in the past about 3 years back. so my knowledge might be a bit dated but hopefully still valid.

TRP's are decided by TAM who have their monitoring boxes in a very handful of homes ..last time I read it was like 6000 and only among metros. It is a very small sample size to measure .

so you might have noticed shows that really do well , are not necessarily very good shows ..it is just a measure of what is being watched on those particular monitors

as far people's interest in concerned , i think the public in general does not like the idea of the lead pair getting engaged to other people kind of tabboo still in the indian mindset ...

I sincerely hope that this track will bring in back the viewers ..

and for the TRP to increase La has to get out of the picture..which is pity coz I like her now

but of course the real dhamaka will be shyam's exposure ..if they some how do it without arnav blaming khushi ..that would be the icing on the cake ...

At bold - that really surprises me becuase some of the most successful shows on indian telly had the leads married multiple times...!! 😆

Ip has not slipped from Top 10 ..the Tam when last checked which was today evening still had IP within Top 10 bracket ...plus IP is at 6th spot in in house rating ..

as for the low TRP points...it was bound to happen bec of LA-Arnav engagement factor ...once that is dealt .. the show will regain the lost points...
