Back again with my weekly bakbak ... thanks to all who reply and encourage me to keep writing this. Last week was pretty predictable, we all knew Khushi-Shyam engagement was coming ... so thanks to the cv's for putting in the "real" engagement - the Khushi-Arnav one ... which was a treat to watch in the otherwise pretty tiresome week. And also reassuring to us viewers that whatever Slimeball Shamoo gets up to, he will never succeed in his nefarious purpose of marrying Khushi!

Mon 7th Nov - Scheming Slimeball, Stupid Sisters and 2 Idiots in Love
After the very taut last week, we knew this week would be fairly ho-hum and full of Scheming Slimeball Shyam, and so it was. Expected it ... my only grouse is the complete lack of imagination in this forced engagement track, with the million and one loopholes in it, that anyone but an idiot would be able to point out - and which many of us did ... ad infinitum!!! 😛
Stupid Sister no. 1 ... Buaji still thinks that her mute brother will recover miraculously the day Khushi agrees to marry the Scheming Slimeball. Arey bewakoof aurat, entire medical gyaan on one side, and your expert, and completely inaccurate, knowledge of what will cure your brother on the other side! And gullible buaji doesn't even realise how expertly she is being manipulated by Scheming Slimeball.
i feel CVs have been less affective here, because they are trying to show that shyam is creating a situtaion where in they are believed to make babuji going to hysteria mode when kushi is not agreeing to marry shaym but definetly not affective i guess shyam needed more space with babuji but we all agree that we cant stand shyams screen time 😡 PH are less effecitive in this as they respond easily to audience demand they need to know that audience are very demanding and should go by story and not buy just TRP but sigh not seeing it happening
Stupid Sister no. 2 ... for a sister who claims to be able to read her brother's eyes and heart, Anjali proved singularly clueless (as usual) in figuring out why her brother dear had gone hurtling back into ASR mode, after rejoining the world of the humans for a very brief sojourn. Icing on the cake was when she attributed it to his very understandable nervousness at entering the state of holy matrimony! Guess Anjali has lived with ASR for so long, that she didn't even recognise the glimpse of Arnav when he peeked out ... She is actually unsurprised to see ASR back ... so unsurprised, that she doesn't bother to question why Arnav peeped out in the first place.
once again i said i CVs are once again not affective they should have made anjali ask more question to him, but a ofcourse from ASR made her stop and gave a conclusion that its marriage jitter for asr 😡
Stupid Sister no. 3 ... I would call her useless rather than stupid ... she does realise that Khushi is not happy with the hurried engagement, but like her witless mother, she can't say a word to Roadroller Buaji.
she does have doubt, she did ask kushi that is she happy. but kushi as a perfect wife to Arnav will not open up to anybody 😡 even if arhi fight there is no doubt that when its comes to open up they open up only for each other 😳 kushi saying she cant handle anymore and hugging him, arnav smiling to kushi silliness 😳
A tiny glimpse of Arnav and Khushi ... 2 Idiots in love communing with the moon ... one runs from his feelings, the other doesn't recognise them until it's too late. Not that she could have done much about them even if she had, as Idiot no 1 is busy doing the marathon, running as far as he possibly can - AWAY from the finish line!

Tues 8th Nov ... Turmoil
He wants to see her, yet can't stand to see her ... she reminds him of his weakness, his surrender.
She wants to see him, yet doesn't want to see him ... he reminds her of her humiliation and her heartbreak.
His turmoil finds an outlet in his anger, let out on all but the one who caused it ... on poor La, on poor OP and even on Anjali and Nani ... why did they call her back, he doesn't want to see her again!
Her turmoil finds no outlet, it's locked within, she has no one to let it out to ... she swallows it, as she swallows mami's insults ... and his ...
I loved Arnav's flashbacks ... the incongruence between the fb's and the words ... putting the payal on her foot, his words, don't think a rich man was holding this close to his heart ... oh yes, he was ... the almost kiss, his words, it doesn't mean anything ... oh yes, it does ...
he remembers every moment he met her 😳 and yeah he does not like that he looses control in front of her and hates himself for it 😕 and she is so damn confused ones he blows hot next cold. no wonder she is confused, he says she does not matter to her and is rude to her but does things as if she matters the most to him in the whole world. and for her her wants to see him but is also scared of humiliation. now that if he humiliates she wont even fight back 😕
The Arnav Khushi scene ... many interpretations of why Khushi went to see him ...
My thoughts ... as I said, turmoil ... she was confused, she wanted to, yet didn't want to see him, as she showed so beautifully in her thoughts at the start of the episode, trying to convince herself that she doesn't want to go, taken aback at Buaji's easy permission ... go, don't go, as you like ...
Then her hurt at the words she overheard as she entered, a reminder of what he had said at her house ... you don't mean anything ... no, she doesn't want to see him ...
Then his outburst at OP, and she realises that he's angry with the whole world, not just her ... or is it that he's angry with the whole world because of her?
Again she hesitates, makes to leave, sees him looking at her, and then changes her mind and goes to return his key ... the ostensible reason for seeking him out when she had decided not to confront him again.Khushi is in deep turmoil too ... she's looking for answers, and she can't find them ...
And Arnav is actually more in control when she reaches, more restrained with her than he was with his sister - his first words were controlled, he loses it when she retorts that she didn't really want to see him either ... his big fat ego again overriding his cool. But she doesn't cry when he is holding her, she's searching his face, looking for answers, and he can't hold her gaze ... it sees too much ... he flings her away from him ... and she realises that Arnav was gone, ASR is back, and no one can get through to him in that mood. So she leaves quietly ... leaving him lost ... she actually went? Even before he could get the words out? And he watches her go ...
me too really not sure why she went to meet him, i felt she had a need to give back the chabi and for her angry ASR is easy to handle than the softy arnav so confirming that ASR is there she went to give back and stared back at him when he held her 😃
Liked the final farewell scene, especially La trying to cheer up Khushi ... sweet! The two unlikely friends ... what will La's reaction be when she finds out that Khushi has fallen in love with Arnav? And he with her?
@bold yeah its a good point really not sure what they will do with blah not sure even CVs have fully decide about it 😡
Wed 9th Nov ... Sarva Mangal Maangalye
The engagement that was meant to be ... right time, right place, right person ...
Although I didn't like seeing Slimeball's face popping in intermittantly, it was tolerable because the scenes were put in to track the exact time of the bandage tying ... (logic is bherryyy important!!! 😆) ... besides, I always enjoy seeing Shyam frustrated ... preferable by far to seeing him getting sadistic with babuji and slimy with Anjali.
@bold i hated it. i hate CVs when they do mix and match of scenes like that its so irritating
I did laugh a bit at the way Arnav saw two drops of blood and raced after Khushi to do first aid, completely forgetting that he just told her to leave and he didn't want to see her face again ... awww, the guy has it bad! 😳 And I was relieved to see he even remembered the mannat ki chaabi, I thought he might have forgotten all about it! I guess, like Khushi, he hasn't forgotten any of their encounters either.
Lovely cinematography, beautifully shot, especially the silhouettes against the setting sun ... the sound of the conch shell, the aarthi and the temple bells in the background, the chanting of the Vedic mantras, as though carrying the blessings of Devi maiyya herself ... a caring, concerned groom, a wondering, accepting bride ... everything perfect, everything right, everything auspicious ... everything as it should be ...
@bold kushi is there in his mind , heart everywhere why he does not accept i really do not know
he is making it difficult for himself and also for her and about scene oh i just loved it a unique engagement for the unique couple 👏
Loved Khushi's expressions as she gazed at Arnav ... wondering, seeking, yet accepting ... slowly she is beginning to understand this complex man, his gentleness, his fury ... and Arnav's complete concentration on his task ... his determination ... she's hurt, he will fix it, because he has the right ...
yeah he own her , its his birth right 😉 anybody dare say anything , they were just like couple 😆 he said do not fuss 🤣 i seriously hope kushi sits and recaps the whole engagement

A war of words again, about their beliefs, as she is stung by how he can disrespect God in His house ... he replies that he writes his own destiny, he is master of his own fate, and she challenges him again ... you only think you do that, but in truth Devi Maiyya is holding your hand and making you write every word. And one day you will realise that, but I won't be there to see it.
He's angry again at her challenge ... one day? You won't be there ever in my life, starting now ... I don't want to see you again.
She retorts ... neither do I ...
And they part ... two hot-tempered, strong-willed proud individuals, neither ready to give an inch, ready to break but never ready to bend ... not ready to acknowledge that pull that brings them together again and again ... yet never lets them come too close.
i am not sure about neither i guess kushi tries sometime, but he snubs her so badly that she will take more sometime to standby and confront him till he breaks down. she did and see what he did went ahead with marriage for blah . So i guess over a period of time Kushi may as well stop behaving which will make him angry but he will get more angry 😆
This scene reminded me of why I became Sanaya's fan in the first place ... I love the controlled fury, the intensity she gets into her voice, low, controlled, yet full of emotion ... moving between spitting fire, to confusion, hesitant softness, then back to firmness ... the nuances in her voice, her changing tones say it all, far more than the words ... a girl caught between her emerging feelings of first love, her self-respect and pride and yes, her hurt.
oh i really sometime feel bad that i misread her in MJHT😭 to the point of apologizing 😕the girl just gives the perfect emotions 👏👏 i feel bad when kushi is feels bad , and cry 😭😭 as naani said IPK has become habit but may not be a good one 😆
And also loved Barun in the scene ... Arnav, a man of few words, but his eyes say it all ... he runs from emotion, but deep within, he knows she is his, to have and to hold, to protect, take care of ... even if he doesn't want to acknowledge it to himself. ... loved the way he removed his shades when he started to talk to her, then put them back on at the end as he moved away ... the unmasking and the re-masking of Arnav.
haha he gets the least dialogue, when he gets he does the justice, but love him more when he speaks with just a look and the hold 👏👏 love the chemistry of Arhi, these two take a scene to the next level 👏👏
10th Nov Thursday - Sarvam Amangalam
The engagement that never should have been ... wrong time, wrong person, and all the wrong reasons. Painful to watch ... I sat through it only for Khushi's hesitation, her last silent defiance in holding out her finger, and her flashbacks ...
Liked the way Arnav's frustration, his anger, his torment was interspersed, peaking with Shyam putting the ring on Khushi ... as though Arnav could sense that his girl was in trouble. 😳
oh other day i was telling to zuzana that the scene was as if Arnav was too restless because kushi was in trouble he could not pin point but his heart had tough time 😭😭 very nicely done once again 👏👏
Loved the way Khushi didn't give Shyam the time of day ... her silent accusation at his treachery ... she had been open with him about not wanting this marriage, and he has sabotaged her at every step. I think her trust in him will ebb slowly ... has already started to ebb ... showing in her extreme discomfort in his presence, her refusal to speak to him ... Shyam may have won over her aunt with his smooth talking, but he may just have lost whatever hope he had of winning Khushi ...
yeah once again a good scene 👏 very subtly done no dialogue but conveyed what was required 👏
Funnily, I just saw the parallel ... La won over Nani ... but lost Arnav ...

And loved the imagery of Arnav rubbing at the spot of blood - beautifully done ... someone among the CV's a literature buff? Lady Macbeth's 'Out, Damned Spot', no less! I could see Arnav's frustration, his guilt, his regrets, in the way he frantically rubbed at the imaginary drop of blood ... try as he might, he can't rub out her touch, her feel, her memories ...
haha just loved it again once again no dialogue 👏 and also howmuchever he rubs memories wont go away so lets through the tissue box
I liked the way the flashbacks were used ... Khushi's hesitation at the exchange of rings, as she remembers all the times she had been emotionally close to Arnav ...
and Arnav's right from the start, the first day he met Khushi, all the times he saved her, their closeness, and lastly, the payal and almost kiss, his sign of weakness ... and so his vow again, never to see her, talk to her ... because he always swore if he fell in love, he would run in the opposite direction.
oh i loved the fbs 😆 i was pleasantly surprised when he thought from the time she fell in his arms 😍
And Khushi finally realises she is in love.
does she realizes i am really not sure . because i guess the day she realizes that she likes arnav there is no looking back for her . i am sure she will fight for what is right fully hers 😳
11.11.11 Fri ... Indicating Arshi Separation?
Cute episode ... and I saw lots of indicators of an impending Arshi separation ...
First, the song during Bhai Dooj, and the words as picturised on Arnav-Anjali
"muskura kar jab tu mujhe pyar se samjhaati hai,
tere chehre mein us pal mujhko Maa nazar aati hai ...
"teri duaa har uljhan mein jeena sikhati hai ...
tera ehsaan hai, mera armaan hai
tujhpe kurbaan dil ho jaaye ..."
In Anjali, Arnav sees his lost mother, her words, her prayers, her wishes guide all his actions, and he will sacrifice his own heart's desires for her.
Next, Mami's words, as she imitates Arnav ... "aapki khushi ke liye, main apni khushi kurbaan kar sakta hun, aapki life mein koi problem na aaye, uske liye kisi bhi had tak jaa sakta hun ..."
Combined with Khushi's words from the day before ... "tab hum nahin honge ..."
Again, to preserve Anjali's happiness, he can go to any extent ... break up Khushi's marriage to his brother-in-law is the first thing ... but the repurcussions on Khushi?
Anjali's words ... stop being rude to people ... you never know when you will meet them again ... and after they have gone, you will realise how wrong you were ...
Again talk about Khushi's leaving ... separation.
And finally, Arnav's memories of the mandir ... where they walked on parallel paths, on opposite sides of the platform ... walking in the same direction ... yet separately.
My gut feel ... Arshi separation is coming ... will it be after a hurried Arshi wedding ... or after another war of words?
I loved Arnav teasing Anjali in the morning ... his dry one-liner "Rasamon ke bahane saari frustrations nikal lo,"...' so typically something my brother would say!
The Raizada ladies' nautanki was hilarious ... especially Mamiji's expressions, especially when Nani said 'even Manorama knows the granths!' ... Mamiji was like 😲 "who, ME?!!!"
Cute ... Smitten Arnav behaves like a bear with a sore head with Khushi not around, lovebug-bitten Khushi is even cuter ... her face going small when she realised she wasn't going to work anymore, and later at the RM, she tells herself she's happy Arnav was nowhere around, yet there's disappointment in her eyes as she looks around ... is he really not there?
Both stubborn, hotheaded people, neither one willing to give an inch, to admit to their feelings even to themselves, let alone to each other.
Random thoughts - After the week full of the Scheming Slimeball, Friday's episode was engaging, and fun to watch, even though it had no Arshi. Just goes to show if the CV's want, they can give us an Arshi separation temporarily, and still keep us glued to our screens ... just give us well-thought out episodes ... oh, and keep that Slimeball Shyam out of sight, or at least, not torturing Shashi babu.
And if the coming ME is really a ME, and does lead towards another major twist (unlike the last one) ... then we might as well enjoy the Arshi scenes this week, because we may not get too many for some time. Having said that, I have been expecting an Arshi separation for some time now ... still hasn't happened! 😆
hmm i really am not sure what is going to happen. as i have read somewhere i am ready for Arhi marriage may be hate marriage too , else as you said arnav will run away from finish line
somebody has to make him take U turn. but separation will it be because of Anjali how 🤔
but CVs sometime put some dialogues to confuse us too. the sequence may be different .
they said misunderstand will pull them together so its arhi marriage as arnav misunderstands that kushi is spoiling his sisters marriage and separating when they feel love for each other
may be kushi willing will go out of arnavs marriages as she thinks he does not love her but loves blah 😡 . will at that time arnav realize his love for kushi, i would love to see him run behind kushi to come back 😈 but i think this again will be done by anjali and not by arnav 😡
