yeah it is. Actually in watever occasions wen a woman receives gifts in her lap n blessings of elders which is customary, it's GODBHARAI. In UP n Bihar dat ceremony is named Godbharai while in other parts of northern states its Roka. I had dis ritual wen I got married.

Dat is ceremony wen evry1 sees newly bride first time. Actually these ceremonies r according to our past culture wen women were not supposed to go to marriages along wid elderly ppl n few neighbours n relatives. At dat time Muh dekhai was like dey r first time seeing brides face (in home) n gv her blessings n gifts n in turn Bride show her respect by touchin feet n all.
