That is the reason I admire this fictional character; because it is complex and true to life. In reality nothing is black or white. it is gray.

Fiction is best when it is closest to reality.
But the character would be incomplete without its marvelous portrayal by an actor. The man, who gives a face to this character, brings him to life.

Barun Sobti, I applaud you for being ASR. 👏 👏 👏

I agree 100% with everything you have said ESPECIALLY the above! It's the complex nature of ASR that has us ALL so hooked to this show! Some "Candy boy" type charachter and I would have TUNED out in 2 days!

He is SO wonderfully complex... you can SEE the feelings he has... and unable to express. You FEEL his pain, so much so that HOURS AFTER watching the show... I still REEL under the weight of feeling ASR's emmotions! It's terrifyingly beautiful!

I think I am ACTUALLY in LOVE with this charachter... TODAY I just felt TERRIBLE for him when he was trying to talk to Kushi in the car and she PRETENDED not to care! I FELT his desperation and pain! (I know she is doing it to preseve herself... but she probably dosent know WHAT it took for him to even TRY to talk to her about what happened)...

CV's this man you have created is FABULOUSLY FLAWED... and BEAUTIFULLY COMPLICATED & TERRIBLY TRAGIC!

LOVE IT!

THANKS BARUN FOR POTRAYING HIM WITH SUCH HEART-BREAKING BEAUTY!

loved reading ur post.. U described asr in such a beautiful manner..appreciate ur efforts.. Indeed i too love arnav becoz d character s so close to reality..
👏 to barun sobti fr portraying asr.. No one else would hav done it..
👏 to cv's fr giving us ASR and IPKKND..
Previously there were many posts frm many people saying ipkknd s copy of other shows but i dnt think there was any character like asr til now.. Love asr n ipkknd..

i love to hate ASR and love to love arnav. this man is indeed living a split personality. oh man i just loved da pondering path you took to elaborate about the man behind this iron mask

i haven't met such complexed, outrageously amazing, colorful fictional character in tv or celluloid before & im so amazed by his characteristics which shocks me every night!

one more thing; i wanna kiss mr. sobti if his wife allows me cuz this guy is doing an amazing world class job by portraying ASR & arnav 😍

brilliant .. loved it.. yes, ASR is different from rest of heros from reel world.. as u said he has shades of gray, which i like,. thanks for sketching out his character so very well..

Good post. Yes he is confusing. He moves aay without explaining yet again he is angry that is no more interestedto know about his feelings. What does he expect. He gets engaged to someone yet crave for someone else.
