Asr a perfect match for feisty and outspoken Khushi ..I mean he would be bored to tears with Payal..and Akash a perfect foil to Payal...who is docile enough to make him feel top of the world..
I think I went a little beyond of what you asked ..but there you are..but as a cliche..Women generally find the macho guys with attitude more attractive ..me included..I find ASR totally irresistible..
I agree 100%! I find ASR totally irresistable, as does Kushi! :) He is arrogant, self satisfied and rude and there were times I HATED his guts and called him "Arnav Singh Haramzada" and some other more colourful names I cannot repeat here! :)
However, case in point is that LOVE or HATE him, you can NEVER be INDIFFERENT to ASR! He is someone you will sit up and take notice of!
When he walks in your like... "His Royal Hotness has arrived"! LOL😳
Akash is sweet, and docile, but I am sure given the right circustances he can be decisive. We just have not seen that yet! He is a perfect gentleman, and knows how to be respectful to a lady! VERY nice qualities for a guy to have! I guess Arnie baby can learn a thing or two from his bro...
However...we can see changes in Arnav, he is slowly coming out of his shell and trying to be a bit more human in his interactions. He should not do a 360 degree change AT ALL, but be a more approachable guy who can be the way he was before, minus the temper tantrums!
He will always be a bit short and curt in his manner, but he will be super "hot and sweet" around his wife I am sure! (the way he is with his Di).
I also agree that women want to "Nurture" the injured soul of a guy! Who does not want to nurse this hottie out of his misery?? Give me the job ANYDAY! 😉

Hey Sush! Insightful post and lovely replies by Zain, sbk2 and all 👏 👏 👏

As Zain stated, If Akash was into business Raizadas would not be what they are...Dat reminds me of the scene I think in episode 4 or 5 where he slaps a person and pays some amount and gets his work done...
Arnav is a go-getter and Akash is a passive person who likes to obey...Yeah! With a mother like Manorama who never gives a chance to opponent, this has to happen...
Arnav's complexity makes him more endearing...Akash is a open book!

I remember us post relating Arnav and Scorpion traits...He listens to his near and dear ones but he does what he feels
I think Akash will be a Libran then...

Their romantic nature is coupled with serenity. They are balanced in nature and know how to keep their cool at all occasions. At times, they find it difficult to express themselves. Though they appear aloof, they are attached to their near ones. They tend to get influenced by the views of others. It makes them indecisive. Apart from these lacunae, they are on the whole reasonable and thoughtful.

Akash really should learn to vocalize his thoughts... And he really needs to develop a spine and tell his mamma dear 2 "stop " instead of giving helpless look!

I personally feel more than Zodiac, their past is responsible for their character (here Manorama for Akash)

Sometimes ASR behaves like a misogynist, though he is not...it can be avoided...Either with La or Khushi...he can learn it from Akash!

And I don't think all gals will fall for Alpha males, but I for one, like most prefer them and I m afraid
falling for a fictional character will make me to search for ASR in real life, which is highly impossible

Akash is sweet, but dear this is 2011 and not 1970 to romance with rumaal, it is highly outdated!
Learn cornering skills from Bhaiyya dear and take a leap from main, woh, ji etc...etc...

p.s We have seen Akash blushing, how about Arnav blushing?! I want him 2 blush (Barun looks so cute when while blushing😳 )

So true! I feel the same way.

The reason I am drawn to Arnav's character is because he has a hidden sensitive side despite his pigheadedness . He's arrogant and pretends not to give a damn about other people's feelings but deep down he's suffering and hates to see other people suffer. It is his inner conflict that makes him interesting and enigmatic.

Isn't that the case the case with all arrogant jerks be it ASR or Damon Salvatore?

Most of the alpha male characters are shown to have an inner self and outer self.

Akash is the sensitive, sensible and a dependable guy. We know what to expect from Akash so his character becomes a bit predictable.

What I am about to say might be a bit controversial but it's not meant to offend anyone. It is simply my opinion.

Arnav is the lead of the show so it is natural that his character gets more focus. But it's not just ASR's character that makes it interesting to watch. The electrifying ArHi chemistry sets the screen on fire. We love to watch their interactions.

Akash on the other hand is the second/parallel lead. He's character gets less focus then it deserves. So we don't really get to know much about his character. Akshay Dogra is a good looking guy and from whatever I have seen i think he is a good actor. Maybe one other reason why we are not getting so much interested in Akash is due to the Payash track.

The Payash track is sweet but at times a find it overly sweet. The feel good factor is there but somehow the spark is missing. It often seems bland. It could be due to the screenplay but I think it could also be due to the couple's chemistry or the lack of it.

Personally i feel Payal and Akash don't share that level of chemistry. At times I even feel that Shyam ( if we can forget he is negative for a while) and Anjali have more chemistry than Payash.

Is this is more of a western concept or an Indian one too? In the Indian context where the family takes a more important role in selection of mate...do "good boys" attract girls attention more?
How about the new theories in the western world as well that "beta" males are more desirable ...now that more woman are becoming high achievers themselves...?

I think its Universal. But in Indian version the bad boy, once in love, turns good..😲 ...Where as in real life n western world they remain the same...🤣..

Well ,Nobody , and I mean NOBODY wants a docile mate ...It really makes life boring,IMO !!!

But Good guys definitely get more attention from the family than the girl in Indian arranged marriage. Well , In Indian context, Mostly what is looked into is family, family values. In an arranged marriage scenario even a bad boy can disguise as good one for an hour when he meets the gal...who can tell how the boy really is till they get married..😃!!
