Part 2

Manohar Gupta took another sip of the hot lemon tea. And felt the presence of his loving daughter Khushi. Khushi came and touched her father feet to take blessing and then held her ears with hand, "Sorry babuji. I am really sorry.. I missed your very first morning riwaj. It must be very hard to riwaj without Sitar. Really sorry Babuji. Plz forgive me." Khushi made cute baby face.

Manohar Smiled. "That's ok my dear. I like your mother's tea also. But I love my daughter's one most .. but more over I love when my little princes Make her trademark baby face when she says sorry." He gave a big smile.

"Babuji!!!! I am not making any baby kind of face.. I am 20 now… It just that I am really really sorry"….Khushi said with disappointed .

"Again sorry I told you not to be sorry…..now sit . I want you to play the Sitar. Today I just want to listen it…….Manohar said..Khushi nodded .

Bela came and sit beside her Husbend….Lost in the tune of sitar. Bela loved everything about music. When she got married with Manohar. She was very happy because Manohar also from Musical family his fourteen father was rewarded for Satriya Sangeet . Manohar's family was connected to the royal singer and Poet of Raja Malhia Singh Arakh. His father Bishwajit gupta was well known pandit of Shastriya sangeet. Being a son pandit Manahar was very down to earth. Though Manohar Gupta now known as Pandit and people called him as guruji but he doesn't like him to address as pandit. Manohar also passionate about sangeet too. But he feels he is still under learning process. Manohar loves this town very much. He alwas say. "I born here and I want to die here like my fourteen fathers".

Khushi didn't know how long she was playing the sitar. When her fingers started ache she open her eyes and found her parents still listening. Then she slowly slowed down the tune. did Pranam the sitar. She stood up and went to her parent. Who were still mesmerized by the tune.

She sat beside them and told. "I love when you two sit together…" they smile and her mother said "we love when you play…. Nothing can be more graceful…Khushi's mother touched Khushi's cheek... "Now come down stairs. have your breakfast. You father daughter never notice the time when it comes to music. But you have to go to the college. And your father need to take his medicine". Bela got up

"Babu ji what do you think? is she praised us or just give us a taunt". Khushi asked in a lower voice.

But her mother heard it. She turned. narrowed her eye barrow. "What did you say?"

"Nothing amma just saying you sing very well." Khushi tried to hide her laugh.

"Very funny but I heard it. I was just saying because you are getting late of your collage. Look at you brother. He is always on time in breakfast." Said Bela

" I knew I knew I knew that .. how could you do this to me ammaaa." she made fake crying face ..

"what I did?" Ask her mom worriedly.

"you you you love bhai more I knew.. Khushi did fake sobs……. "But for you kind information your son was snoring when I went to his room . I woke him up that whyy he is on time"…. She tried to take credit….

"Yes yes I know how you woke him up.. by throwing water on him"….. Khushi bitted her tongue ….

"ops bhai already told her." she said in her mind .. "I just wanted to make him cool"… ..

"khushi go downstairs before I pull you ear….. Bela warned Khushi. khushi ran… both her parents laugh by the sight.

"Ok Khushi Kumari Gupta..Get ready. And plz don't take too much time. That wont make any difference. You wont look Like Aishwariya Rai. Don't be on the dreamland"

Khushi did a loosen pony. Wore a pitch colored plain kurta churidar. One piece of anklet on her left ankle . She always wore anklet on her left ankle because that would make some pause between two rhythm. Just like the sound of slow motion scenes in hindi movies. She loved those sound.

Though she was very pretty. She always found herself average looking girl. she put on her flat chappal and went down to the dinning space.

The dinning table was very large for them cause they were only 7 people including one care taker, his wife and their daughter laxmi. But before her birth this house used to be full of her relatives. But she didn't know Why people slowly stop coming here and visit them .When she was a kid she used to run behind her other relative's kid. But slowly she understood that those relatives forbidden their kids to play with her. She asked her mother but never got any answer …. But Akash had been always with her. From then he was his best friend… She looked at her brother ..oohoo I should not throw water on him.. My innocent brother…….She made long face..

" hmmm " she cleared her voice..Ooo bhai don't be so worried .. Nothing wrong going to happen today"..Khushi tried to talk ……

"Did I ask for your opinion." Akash made a fake angry face..

"No, but I am sure you will be very clam at your presentation cause the water was very chilled isn't it…..Khushi hide her smile…. "If not then let me give you more ice cool water".. khushi took a glass full of water...Akash thrown a napkin at her.. she caught it…

"oho you two should stop it.. your father is coming down" their mother came with a plate full of luchi.

"I havent done anything….. he was trying to beat me.. see he has thrown this heavy napkin on me…... what if it wasn't napnik…. what if the napkin was that glass"………………… she point a glass near Akash.. "he hates me amma"……… she again started her acting..

"ok ok ok meri maa.. it ok .. I have forgiven you now please stop your acting… Said Akash.

"I haven't ask for your forgiveness….. I was just don't want to make you sad…... as your days never start if I don't wish you all the best.. I was just helping you bhai… she smiled….….

"By the way Princess khushi is very much pleased with your forgiveness…. Ask what ever you want today I am very happy".. Khushi said with a Big smile ..

"Just onething……. One cup of malai tea in the evening…….

"Promise" she repied……….

"oh god don't know when you two fight when you to love each other" Bale said with frustation…… "hmmm some one is very jealous ….. khishi Said……. "Don't be amma…….. because he is my best friend. If you want to make friendship with him then you have to throw water on his face every morning. what say want to be my Crime partner." khushi wink………..

"ha ha ha" Manohar laughed loud .. No one noticed when Manohar came and stood behind them…. Akash pranam his father. He put his hand on Akash ead...

"I am sure you are going to success .. Don't worry my dear…. As your beloved sister said so"…. both Akash and Manohar look at khushi with full of affection.

"Lavanya wait … stop please"… khushi shouted

"please Khushi… Come with me"…….lavanya was running toward the back side of khushi's house….

"No I am not coming with you"..……. khushi stoped.

Lavanya turned to see khushi… khushi was stood behind her on the way to back……

"Ooho Khushi lets climb on the mango tree..please"…………." Lavanya was request Khushi

"No Lavanya not today.. its hot noon... you need to go home.. please go.. ..lavanya"…….. khushi said with long face

"ooho khushi I brought the camera today..I want you to click a snap of me when I will reach the top branch of mango tree"...…

"what?.. why?" Khushi asked full of surprise

"Ooh God my cousin gone nuts……Oho lavanya you need to stop this childish kind of thing"… khusah said carelessly.

"what? I did the childish kind of things… and you climb the mango tree every day on summer ….. but now you are stoping me..huh…... I know why..cause you don't want me to impress those guys on my Face book….. You want to impress them for you.. I knew it"…. Lavanya turned her back to khushi with anger….………

Khushi opened her mouth with shock..

"WHAT!!!!!!! I don't need to impress any guy .. I don't want to impress anyone and so do you"…. Khushi said angrily….….. now go home. Otherwise Buaji will call babuji and again argue With Babuji about our friendship..… You know that Buaji doesn't like our friendship…. Khushi made a sad face….

"Ooho Khushi".. Lavanniya came near to khushi……..

"what does mom like in this world? that's a billion dollar question... just chill….. Lavanya side hugged Khushi…

"No.. Lavanya just goo … otherwise I am leaving you alone here.. now go and climb on trees or whatever you want ".Khushi turn back and started walking toward the main hall……

"Please please please khushi, happy, sukhi sister please please please don't go….. Lavaniya ran behind her….

"ok ok listen if you help me..I will tell you the latest news of Arjun Bhaiya"….LAvanya said with a big smile

"What!!!!! Arjun Bhaya called ?.. khushi came back to Lavanya..

"Yes dear.. and he told me….. and I wont tell you .. cause you are leaving"... Lavanya Turned back .

"No no no .. I wont leave you .Please tell me na. How is he?….How is his job going?.. Tell me na.. .. please please please…….. ok you want me to click a photo of you….. done.. on the tree….. Anywhere you want.. Up in the air… Down under earth. I will do whatever you want….PLease tell me na"….Khushi hold Lavanya hand.

"Ok.but becare full don't climb to high"….Khushi warned Lavanya .. …

"Ok relax khushi" …….Lavanya she went to the largest mango tree at the end of the house. Started Climb but failed..

" Khushi help me na... I cant……" Lavanya sliped…

"Wait lavanya.. .. I am helping you…." Khushi tried to push lavanya up.. but failed.… Then again she pushed her up but this time both fell on the ground..

"Oho khushi climbing tree is really heard …. How could you always manage to climb"……Lavanya Said with frustration.

"Lavanya all these are my trees …..i grown up around them .they just help me when I want to climb. They are my childhood friends"……..Khushi said proudly.

"But khushi, what will happen now.. .. my pic……

"Oho Lavanya you are very pretty. you don't need to be climb on the trees ... These trees are very fortunate that you are taking photos with them…. Now stand beside this tree…...i am clicking…."

Suddenly Khushi Found one tyre mark on the gound near her feet.. "Tyre mark..Lavanya, which vehiclehas has one tyre"……….

" What!!!!!!!!!!! What are you saying khushi? What happen?...Lavanya asked with irritation ..

"Nothing …..A tyre mark on the ground.. strange"….

"Ooho its not one it a bike tyre mark khushi"….. .

"oho khushi maybe someone came with the back gate by mistake…….Lavanya Poinet the open back door.

Arjun Bhaiya called last night .. He said, he is fine there and he loves his new job .. Everything is going smooth and fine"…….Lavanya Said quickly. …….

Did he ask about me?...Khushi asked.

"No .. He ask about my studies ..and alll………..But mom told him about how we bunk classes and all..…. He said he is not interested to listen about you"…….Lavanya bite her tongue. I should not say this……I am a fool" Lavanya scold herself in mind.

"Listen Khushi , he said those but he was listening when I was talking about us.. He was just showing off…….Lavanya tried to Make up.

"Oho Its Maa"…… Lavanya looked at her Cell Phone

"Khushi I have to go……..Khushi please don't cry"…..Lavanya hugged khushi….

"Its ok lavanya you must go.. Buaji Must be worried"

"Right, as if she cares. Anyways are you sure you are ok?...Asked Lavanya worriedly … Khushi Nodded

"You go Lavanya.. I want to be alone with my trees ……

"Are you sure Khushi"…… "Yes I am .. don't worry .. bye Lavanya"

Khushi sat under her favorite mango tree. Rest her head on the trunk. Her cheeks got wet with fresh tears ……….

Part 3 - Meeting her dark Devil

Lights went off'... it was very normal to have this load shedding these days.. '. Usually Khushi loved this darkness so that she can shed her tears without grab anyone's attention. But today it wasn't fully dark today because of moon light. Her parents went for a sangeet utsaab near Malihabad'.Akashi did not come back from office. So, nobody will be here because Om kaka was telling laxmi a fairy tale..kaki was listing also.. they were on the court yard. Khushi could hear the voice from her room.

Khushi led down on her bed '. She is very sad about Arjun, her brother. "Why he hates me".. khushi asked herself' she opened bed side drawer .. and took to photograph of her real parents and locket of her birth mother. . "It not my fault Maa that Pita ji died on the day I have born.. It wasn't my fault. Please Maa please tell him. I miss him every day.. please ".. she closed her eyes and prayed. Fresh tears were making their way to her cheeks'. "I am not saying that I don't have my family, but I miss my brother too.. He never comes here and meet me .. he doesn't come here to see his chachaji and chachi ji, just because they adopted me..Why he hates me so much Maa'... please tell me naa".. .. ..

suddenly she heard a movement in the room' she opened her eyes and tried to see between the dark ness'.. She saw someone is searching something from her drawer of her dressing table "Who is it? Amma is that you?" she asked sacredly'' "who is it?''.hey wait you thief "'.. she quickly went to the person and tried to hold him tight from his back side'

But he twisted her hands.. hold her both soft wrists with his large palm. Khushi tried to move back but with another of his free hand he held her waist and brought her closer to him'..Khushi's heart beated 100 times that second..her soft cheast held tight with his hard one ' khushi could see his eyes only' because that person's face was totally covered with a think veil..his eyes were sparkling due to moon light ''.she tried to move but he hold her tight''.she was about to open her mouth for shout but suddenly she felt drowsy .He put a hanky on her nose to make her unconscious ''Khushi tried to move, but she could not'. She felt her head heavy .. she fell on the ground ''

Then he lit a torch.. and opened the drawers'. "Shit.. where is that locket"'... he went to the bed side drawer '. But could not fine find Suddenly his eyes went on khushi.. he sat down beside her and remove her dupata from khushi's right hand '. He smiled when he saw the locket ''he took it on his pocket and stood up' he was about to go .. But he stopped by khushi's shinning face under the moon light. She was looking so innocent.. .. He sat down.. took khushi on his arm and made her laid down on the bed' a cute smile appeared on khushi's face when she found the comfort'. "Hmm so Maha Rani wanted to be on her large bed when she fainted by chloroform'' Its not her fault. Her fourteen fathers were like that lazy also''bloody back stabber" ' he got up and about to go but Khushi's bangles stuck with the dhaga of his wrist.. "ooh I told Guruji that these dhaga wont bring the happiness. Its only brought the sufferings"'.. he heard some foot step near the door ... He tried to remove the dhaga from the bangle but could not. So he untied the dhaga quickly. He ran to the veranda and jumped from there''And vanished''
