So I watched a few epis...trying to give the show a chance...cause of the main actor and his new avatar of being a hard "feelingless" rich man (though we all know he has a feeling or two)

What I cannot stomach is this idea of the big strong man who acts like a jerk and inflicts pain and suffering on an innocent girl

I dunno, but call me crazy...leaving a bruise on a girls arms, in many places (maybe not india?), is considered bad...maybe even abusive

So why does romantic music play? Why does that weird "rabha ve" music play when he is roughing up this girl who just became a woman? He is 28 and she is 18...10 yrs her elder (based on the show synopsis)...and he is manhandling her all the time...and somehow that is romantic..
How is that romantic?

Although I do like the fact that they have shown Khushi as a fiery girl...she seems to take his crap sometimes..although throwing hot tea on a guy isnt cool as well

Anyways, being someone who has done many essays on this kind of stuff...I just find it interesting that this is what the audience is asking for as it is a hit show...weird...

Though I still watch Barun walking around stone faced in his hot suits, I switch the channel when the nonsense comes on

on a side note...Being an animal lover, I do appreciate Nanis love for her goat..that was very cute..

When I say weird...its more pointing to the fact that playing romantic music is weird
the song itself is fine...

Now back with comment.

You must have noticed the fact that Arnav is not at all shown to be a cool and calm guy, he doesn't even talk properly to Nani, and that is because of his past, he believes that each and every girl like Khusi can do anything for money, and they deserve that kind of treatment.
And I agree with him. Give me a strong reason why he should feel that yes she is different.
And the kind of girls he thinks her to be, are handled like that, and they don't care a damn about it.

Raaba Ve doesn't play when he manhandles her, I actually don't remember, it plays when she is crying or they are having eye locks or other such romantic scenes :)

No it plays right after..like a second after.. but why?
why is that scene being perceived as romantic?

I understand ASR character..
My issue is not the way he is treating her as he is an arse in the show and fine that is part of his character

but having them lock eyes and lock at each other and having romantic music playing when the girl is crying after being grabbed or hurt or whatever is just odd to me

Yes, Even I too felt that he is assuming that he has the right to touch her, pull her, leave marks on her body. I also find it weird that a girl like Khushi, who is all upright about man-woman relationship thinks it is OK for some random man to touch her, pull her. I think, even in India, most ppl would find that weird, if a person who you met a couple of days starts touching them

Actually his grip is very hard.. he didn't mean to hurt her. Its not like he is assulting her, he is holding her tight enough so that she will listen what he has to say..
