I thought I would keep it short this time, as I've already posted some long takes on episodes this week ... but 😕 I guess I just can't keep it short!

So here goes ... 😛

26th September

Arhi phone call – cute and funny at the same time, the contrasting images of Khushi brandishing karchi at unknown caller 😆 contrasting with serious, trying-to-gear-himself-up-to-talk Arnav ... she didn't give him a chance to get in a word edgeways!

The dining table scene ... Arnav trying oh-so-hard to show complete unconcern about Khushi and her absence. 😛

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bARcsGZ9lYw

The smidgeon of a scene with Khushi holding tightly to her babuji's hand ... barely lasted a minute, and showed her vulnerability and her fears ... I liked that silent scene even better than the Khushi-Payal one.

Random thoughts – Arnav practicing apology in front of mirror ... cute, showed that ASR and his ego were still dominant, the fact that he was having to apologise was the huge issue here, not what he was actually apologising for. If the actual apology had not been completely different, I would have been annoyed at this scene, it lessened the import of the apology ... as it is, I think that is exactly what the cv's were trying to show.

27th September

The Arhi apology ... I made a post on this one, so am not going to repeat! Beautifully done, totally in character ... the first apology, which was so NOT an apology ... and then the way Khushi actually realises what he's getting at, through his frustration, his roughness, and tells him her entire story ... simple, matter-of-fact words, a recital of fears, as though she was just telling a story about someone else, except for the emotions in her voice ... and then challenges him ... now say it ... if you can ... and the final goading ... no, you still can't ... because for you, it's all about my haisiyat ...

And the way the second apology emerges ... from the heart ... how he finds it so much easier to say it again, and yet again ... because this time it's not about him, ASR the Great breaking his own rule and apologising, but because he is genuinely and deeply sorry ... and he feels the pain of another person for the first time in years.

High voltage Arshi – at their best! Sanaya always excels in emotional scenes – Barun matched her step for step, and upped the ante with the choked out 'Sorry'. And his eyes at the end ... as she leaves ... 😭😍 👏 Together they were simply magical – and I loved the gazebo setting. 😍

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzzSZFx4Ia0

Random thoughts – what happened to the other people at the party? How did Khushi get home? Why did Anjali not ask about La when she knew Arnav and La were at the same party? Or did Anjali know that at all?

28th September

The Arhi dupatta scene ... been there, done that ... dupatta getting stuck, eyelock while detaching ... but the way it was performed was still dreamy. And it actually had a purpose ... the reinforcment of the privacy of the Arhi interactions ... and his second apology ... de-rakshasing the Rakshas still further.

Also liked both the scenes where they remember the previous night, first Khushi at home, then Arnav when he sees her bruise – hey, I liked the flashbacks! 😉

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHBpz5ypbs8

Random thoughts - My thoughts at the end of the episode were – CV's expended all their energy on the previous night's apology ... today was just setting up for La's exit. Didn't realise how soon it would happen though!

29th September

Wow, so much happened! Action-packed episode - very tough to pick the top scene today ... the ASR-La showdown gets top spot ... right from the start, where ASR starts yelling, sees Khushi, and actually tones down his yelling, I thought he was remarkably restrained the way he told her to get out. He remained restrained when he told La to change ... but her insistence on marriage set him off again ... and La emerged with honours for the rest of the scene. Am glad the makers gave her exit some dignity. I liked the part when he asks her – what do you want, and she answers – I'll tell you what I don't want ... and proceeds to list it all out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP1ZJIfFQ_Y&feature=related

Arhi phone convo – the convos are increasing in number, and they are all cute! Liked the way Khushi was blabbing to herself about calling Arnav, and her babuji's amusement 😉 ... and the way Arnav gives it back to her in her own words ... why are you wasting my time?! 😆 Also loved the way Khushi took all the blame on herself for La's newfound desire for marriage ... sweetheart, Arnav already knows you were responsible! That's why he didn't bother to listen!

Last Arhi scene – showed a huge change in the Arhi equation ... from being scared of Arnav, Khushi now seeks him out ... and loved the way Arnav knew exactly what she was doing ... including his amused smirk when she insists La wrote the letter and is heartbroken. I loved Barun's expression all through this scene!

Random thoughts ... Khushi did something wrong, she apologised instantly. Will Arnav remember this when Shyam's truth comes out?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GC2I1Wyqv4w&feature=related

30th September

Continuation of the Arhi scene ... the first time they have had a conversation without his actually yelling at her, I think. Or without his losing his cool, and her getting terrified ... am not counting the Rabba ve moments! Loved the way he has her sussed out completely 😆 ... and she knows, yet keeps trying her best 😛. His last words were classic ... give this answer to the one who wrote the letter ... he knows- and she knows he knows - who did! Again, loved their expressions, especially Barun's.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF8QCHe4poo

Liked the Arnav vs family scene ... according to me, although he was not completely unaffected by La's leaving, during this scene, he did realise one thing while his family was pushing him to get La back ... that he simply didn't want to. That for him it was well and truly over. Not because of Khushi ... at the time, I don't think Khushi was on his mind at all (for once!) it was more about everyone telling him he needs someone, they don't want him to be alone etc, etc ... and he realised he wasn't heartbroken at La's exit at all. None of the 'saansein ruk jaayengi' was happening to him ... he simply didn't care enough.

Last Arhi –first, the scene itself ... where Khushi as usual, challenges him, his thoughts, his feelings, and he tells her point blank that it's over ... she tells him he never loved La enough at all, otherwise he wouldn't find it so easy to say it's over ... as usual she hits the nail on the head.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A8eLbRDEa4

Random thoughts - I have at least three different interpretation of those puzzling lines ...

Yes, I'm heartless, at least I don't lie to myself ... and pretend to be something I'm not ...

Her reply ... where are you taking this ... from where to where ... and her evident hurt at those words.

One thought – he's talking about the tug between both of them, and that she's trying extra hard to get La back for him because she's ignoring that tug ... while he doesn't want that tug, so he just wants her to get out of his life.

Second – he knows it's over between him and La, La knows it too, and so does Khushi ... but Khushi is trying to mend the gap because of her own guilt at her role in the breakup ... not because she really feels he and La belong together. Again, she feels hurt because he's doubting her intentions ... but has he this time, hit the nail on the head?

Third – he meant the way she faces her parents' loss with a false smile on her face ... but I don't think he would go there ... that's too sensitive an issue for both of them, besides, if her smile is a facade, so is his attitude and arrogance.

I am ignoring the precap as of now ... once before when the precap had Khushi and the laptop, there was lots of speculation and Khushi-bashing that she shouldn't have touched his laptop, and the actual scene showed something completely different ... so will wait and see what she is really up to, before I make any premature comments on her stupidity at still wanting Arnav and La back together.

And I don't think La is going to be back soon ... pity, I would have liked her friendship with Khushi to continue, but if La stayed around, Khushi would never allow herself to feel anything for Arnav, or ever come close to acknowledging it. So La's exit to my mind shows that Khushi's feelings are going to start changing.

So progress this week – La's exit, Shyam making more and more mistakes, signifying his discovery is next, and most importantly, Arnav-Khushi's changing equation ... which IMO has to progress even further before Shyam's exposure.

Thoughts, comments, opinions? And please don't go by the rumours floating around, try to go by what we're seeing on screen! Because I find the cv's and channel are being extra careful not to give out any hints of upcoming tracks – even the SBS-SBB segments and Tb articles are always only of the what we are going to see the same day, nothing further.

divya good post once again and thanks for the link
i am not going to write theories 😆

haha one dialogue that you are decoding in three ways
haila CVs are doing great job right. so difficult to decipher
yet we know that it has some connection how where when
we do not know
CVs sometime make me go back and watch old scene 😔

la - is it really her exit, i wish.
Arhi equation has changed, he restrained himself so much 👏
said sorry once again 😍
hope he at least remains in this mode if marriage happens
I so love the way CVs build up ... whether arnav's sorry
or kushi's love letter

I so agree with you , lets wait for mon8pm rather than speculating
Kushis nautanki 😆

Shyam is going to be exposed but how and when and how is it
going to impact arhi 😔
this is the first time for a jodi i am not sure should they marry or not

tnx for a beautiful weekly analysis diya 😍

u'v captured da essence of arnie's character and pov from this bit. totally agree with u!! once again he wants to prove he's righteous and everybody else is wrong. this episode was one of da best last week. let's see how long he can prove everybody wrong

another scene which touched my heart was kushi visiting him at his office to compel him to stop blah from going. i think it was another tantalizing moment cuz arnav not only acknowledged he never had any feelings for blah but also realized kushi has already created a special place in his heart when he felt for her as tears dropped down from her cheeks

As usual, great analysis!!

the apology scene has to one of the best scenes (not best among arhi scenes) but the best scenes of the show. It was where Arnav truly felt connected to khushi for the first time. he forgot her aukaad and haisiyat, he forgot he was ASR, he was just an orphan who felt and understood the grief of another orphan.

Khushi who has mostly scene his arrogant and snobbish ways did not expect him to utter the word sorry. when she said 'aap sorry kaise bol sakte hai' it was as if she was mocking him. his sorry took her by surprise but she was too lost in her own giref to react to it. so she walked away without saying anything.

brilliant acting by sarun!!

loved ur post, 3 analysis for one dialogue 👏 first i thought it must be the first one...but then after reading all the posts here, i thought it must be the third one...which i dont want it to be, cause the sensitivity towards her pain, is the only redeeming factor for Arnav...if he taunts her for that, it might make a deep dent in her heart, which i fear will never heal...

haha Dia - u really cant keep it short! 😉😆 well, long or short, i still love your post! 😊

agree with ur analysis mostly, esp the random thoughts😉 - the story is progressing slowly n steadily...of course, considering thats its a daily soap, there were some parts which seemed kinda blah...but lets get to that later

first, the things i liked - the apology scene (obviously😳) and the shift in ArShi's equation post that...prior to this, all we witnessed was the high-temper drama with the constant barrage of aukat n haisiyat dialogues from Arnav - so m glad they are moving past that and actually talking to each other like human beings - they may still be fighting and of course they will cuz of their contrary beliefs n perspectives to life...

in fact, this is wot makes the show different for me - the change is equation was not too drastic...it was just abt right - nothing more, nothing less! i have seen shows in the past where after the first emotional breakdown only the angry young man turns over a new leaf n becomes all soft n sweet the very next day...thats really hard to believe...
in IPK, they have built up Arnav to be a VERY TOUGH nut to track due to his dark past and they are living up to that character beautifully - the apology scene did tone down his yelling but thankfully we didnt see him returning Khushi's bright smile the next morning - he was back to his rakshas mode n i loved that!👏 he has started to open his heart to Khushi but that also always comes out in anger...n thats wots required cuz i dun think he can fully heal till the time he opens up his past n deals with it! till that time, Khushi will have to counter his wrath with her cheerfulness n stubbornness and she's the only one who can handle it ! 😊

like her efforts to fix things b/w La n Arnav - enjoyed the phone convo, Khushi was adorable building up the courage to talk to ASR n n getting caught immediately...n despite that, she goes upto him with the cutest apology letter ' pasta ka promise' 😳 n gets caught again - n u r rite, Arnav's reaction was hilarious here😆...its amazing how Barun managed to say 'are u kidding me!' with such a straight face - i was expecting a smirk from him, though not a mean one he normally gives to KKG!

moving aside from ArShi, also liked La and Khushi seems - enjoyed their cute bond esp after that 'ladki badi hai kamaal ki' dance...but i agree, La will need to exit else Khushi will never admit her pull twds Arnav. Shyam consoling Anjali in the last epi was good too - for once, he was back to his husband avatar and that was nice to see - makes me hope that he cares for her thoda bahut!

okay, now the things i wish were handled differently
- khushi's dad n his detective missions...i mean, if they can show the man to be smart enuf not to trust Shyam blindly then why not make him somewot discrete also - he may be from a small town but doesnt mean he had to be dumb - m sure all dads know how to get a background check on a prospective groom!
- Payal n Akash...m not even gonna call it a story cuz its so meaningless - all they do is stare n shy away or talk more politely than even the royals pretend to! c'mon give them some meat! fortunately, their scenes are rare n short!
and lastly, why did they change khushi's mom?? the original one made the character so strong - i used to enjoy her scenes with Khushi...the new one looks too young n meek!

abt the precap - m hoping there's more than meets the eye...else, i will credit it to the extra pressure of 30 min episodes n refrain from cribbing...cuz i am enjoying the show for the ArShi story and SaRun chemistry really rocks! 😊

oh gawd - i guess i made an equally lengthy reply...wot can i say, u r contagious Dia! 😉😆

Great Analysis Diya. I love reading your posts. My two cents –

There was a change in ASR after he said sorry to Khushi…Not once but thrice and from the bottom of his heart…he really felt khushi's pain and empathized with her. IMO that was the highlight of the week.

After that day he has restrained himself from shouting at her…That's why the next day we see him shouting at La but when he sees Khushi hiding behind the bathroom door his expression changes immediately to hurt and he just cannot believe that Khushi would be the instigator behind La acting like a wife…That's why he says 'I cannot believe this' and then says it was his mistake in thinking that Khushi would understand his lifestyle…Deep in his heart he wants Khushi to understand him. He knows she has engraved her name on his 'non-existent' heart…but he is going to fight it…He is going to deny his own feelings for her…He tells his di to ask Khushi to get out of his life..She has threatened his very foundation, very beliefs and he does not like it…He wants to hide behind the hard shell he created after his parent's death so that he does not feel any pain of loss or rejection from the one he loves.

When he tears the letter and throws it at her telling her that was his answer meaning even if Khushi tries to mend bridges between him and la, he is going to tear those away…why?? because he does not believe in love and marriage and happily ever after…he does not believe that two people could live their life together forever…his own parents shaped that opinion for him (would love to know what happened in his past!)

When Khush tries to push la's case in his office again, he knows that it is not la he wants but her khushi…and he definitely wants to test the waters…He tells her that at least he is truthful to himself and is not like her to pretend to be something he is not…I think here he wants to tell her that he knows she wrote the letter and not to pretend that she did not do it…He also says when she can tell the truth why is she not willing to listen to the truth…the truth about him and la's relationship being over, the truth about his and Khushi's changing equation…He is facing the truth that his feelings for her are changing but when is she going to face the same truth. Now, what is he going to do about it…NOT a damn thing…He looks at her after that 'truth' line as though telling her, 'I know it, you need to acknowledge it, but I am not into it…I want you to get out of my life and stay out' because…I am scared of being hurt…But I hurt you, you cry and I cannot bear to see the tears in your eyes…that is why when the screen freezes on Arnav we can see the remorse on his face. He will fight the feelings she creates in him but he just cannot see the tears in her eyes that he has caused…He is one complicated and confused soul and Ms. Khushi should have the patience of a saint to break down those impenetrable barriers to get to the real Arnav….
