Pink Chocolate, yes we do see Khushi in different perspectives. I can well empathise with her because this is how I was when I was young. I had certain fixed ideas about what is right and wrong and anyone whom I found doing things which were considered wrong by me, I would brand them bad. Khushi is like that. Given her age and her lack of experience she cannot tell the difference between a deed and a person.

Each one's value system may be shaped by what one is taught and what one learns from the surroundings or from one's own experience. Now take the instance of Anjali. She too has values which are very similar to Khushi's. She too is highly religious and does not approve of a live-in relationship. But she is able to accept her brother and his live-in status because 1. she loves him and 2.she knows why he opposes marriage.

Right now Khushi does not love Arnav nor does she know what makes the guy shun marriage. She is not mature enough to find out why the guy resents marriage. For her his non-acceptance of marriage means that his character is shaky, meaning he is incapable of making a commitment and standing by it. This is her belief. I don't think there is anything mean about it. Yes, Arnav does not like what she said but that does not make it mean. Being 'mean' is being 'petty' and I doubt Khushi can be termed petty, consciously or unconsciously.

As I said the only times she was acting petty were the times she pulled all those pranks on him and even then she was prompt in tendering her apology because that is not in her character.

wonderfully written and nicely explained.

When repressed emotions are not allowed to be expressed..they lash out in violence or aggressiveness- passion- all this can be seen in both Arnav's and Khushi's case...looking forward to the love-hate track..

Thank you. 😊..I second you on the highlighted bit. True. When we are screwed up on an emotional level, we are unreasonable and that is the case with ArHi.😆

Poco, great to see you back here... you got me hooked to the show and then totally vanished from the scene.. I started watching the show after reading once of your initial beauty and beast posts :-)
was having a not so great day in office and logged in to find a post from you :-) made me feel loads better right away :-) So Just wanted to say Hi... Great analysis ... Will write more later :-)
On a separate note... caught up with the FF too.. loved the updates... I had almost given up on you ever updating :-) At the cost of sounding stale let me say once again that you are one of the best writers around in the forums :-)

Hmmm. Its not that i can't agree with you because you are right. We are shaped by our roots, surroundings and upbringing to a large extent. Rest is life. That way, there is nothing wrong in Khushi seeing Arnav as a hedonist because he scandalizes each and everything that she holds pure and pious. And if i go by your interpretation of 'mean' , well, then, Khushi is definitely not mean. 😃

For the first time in life Arnav has met his match. His equal. He puts on a facade to hide himself from the world and this girl suddenly shows up and tries to break it down . She makes him feel defenseless. A part of him wants to let her break it and a part of him fights back.
