I won't be back in the forum for a couple of weeks as I will be visiting my parents. But here is something which I imagine will look beautiful on Arhi.:
It seemed like an age when she woke up from the numbing pain that was eating away her body and soul. How could he he even let her go? She had left behind everyone one who cherished her in their heart of hearts just because she could not tolerate even the thought of staying away from him for even a single instant.
The challenge, the animosity all seemed to be distant echoes from the past. What did they mean to her present which was just HIM and only HIM. She had realized it long back. But he was so embroiled in his past that he just could not bring himself to accept what was written by destiny long back.
She realized that the sunlight was filtering through her window. Looking out, she found that there had been a severe thunderstorm the previous night. Several strong and and tall trees had been struck down by lightening. But beneath them she found small saplings growing and tiny buds blossoming into flowers. How had those small and lovely blossoms survived the destruction last night which even the tall trees could not do.
She started walking along the avenue observing the terrible beauty of nature on the one side destructive, and on the other nurturing the fragile blossoms and saplings. She came to the crossroad where the roads parted, one to the right and the other to the left. She unconsciously took the road leading to the right where trees and plants grew in profusion, and flowers of a myriad hues danced on the trees.
Suddenly she was reminded of how HE often preferred the left side of road where cacti and thorny plants grew. So what if she could not travel with him in the journey of life; she could at least take the road He preferred. So she turned back.
He stood the whole night weathering the thunderstorm after SHE had left. There was no other way of quenching the fire that burnt within him. Her every word, her silence passed through him like a deadly sword. He died every single moment watching HER leave. He was crucified for life on the altar of his emotions.
He could FEEL; something he never thought he could do after his past that had left him with a stone frame and nothing else inside. How did it spring to life? He had always listened to his mind because he knew his heart was dead. But today he knew that not only his heart but his soul was also alive.
But how was he to silence them! They were his but not his. He had unknowingly gifted them to HER for a life-time. They had left along with HER when SHE left. The rain had stopped but not his tornado of thoughts and emotions. He did not know what to do to escape from this.
He ran from there to escape from these questions which never seemed to leave him. He knew that SHE had the answers to them but his ego would not allow him to ask her. He took the left road which was his favorite path.
He suddenly remembered that she always took the right road. If not HER perhaps HER road would provide him answers to the questions which always pursued him. He turned back.
But there at the crossroads they met. Destiny had given its answer.
