Brilliant post! As my username indicates I am a "Mr Darcy fan" and have been since I was 10 when I first read P & P...even today I hold by breath for the transformation of Darcy on EVERY version of P & P I have ever seen (and own DVD's of every version of this book ever made).I saw the similarities between Darcy and ASR almost right away, but yes he is a bit Thornton and Rhett Butler too... I think the fact that we are comparing this charachter to such litarary greats show that ASR has capatured the imagination of millions within a matter of weeks! Kudos to the writers and to Barun who has 'ARRIVED' as ASR with a bang! I am not at all familiar with any of his other work, but this alone is enough to get me wanting to see more and more of him...

lovely post zainu! u made me all senti here! i blabbered a lot on su's & sathu's threads so i don't wanna repeat myself with endless praising on mr. sobti but i'l just say that i love him a lot and thank him for bringing ASR to my life!

Very well written.. He definitely is a fabulous actor!

He has totally grown into the ASR role, and I badly want the CV's to keep making progress with this charachter and see both ASR and Kushi progress through Pride and arrogance on ASR's part and Prejudice and immaturity on Kushi's part to the cross roads were they are meant to meet and continue walking as one! Cant wait!
