Beautiful post again. I'm loving the connection that you are establishing here everyday.
I was avoiding posting here...but your title forced me to put down my two pennies worth. Hope i can make some sense here.
Thank you so much, Ayesha! 🤗...I will like to see you here more often.
Fate...destiny...whether someone accepts or not, they are the realities that come into existence with a soul and leave as the soul departs. The ups and downs...the happiness and sorrows...the gains and losses...everything is in a way attributed to these realities.
True. Fate is the master hand and there is no denying that life runs on Providence. All good and bad is attributed to destiny and Karma that shapes it. No doubt.
Today, we saw a battle of belief and disbelief in this very word..."fate". He outrightly rejected his belief in God. Reason- the wound that he got in his early years, has become highly septic and has spread its poison (infection) in his heart, his soul, in his very existence. He has seen just the bitterness of life...or, If i may say...he has built a shell around him that makes him only see the bitterness and harshness of life. He gulps down this posion everyday, every minute, every second. This seems somewhat like an example of selective perception, whereby, we accept things the way we want to. Rationally thinking...if life took a lot from him...it has given him loads also. But he is not seeing whatever he has...he is NOT seeing the gains...he's just bearing the pain.
Absolutely. As Anjali said, Arnav is still standing in that haweli 15 years ago - he is tapped in time and in that incident . He never moved ahead from being tat 14 year old devastated teenager. So, no matter how much life and luck have given him , he doesn't see that life tried to make up for everything that he lost.
This is where "the beauty's" role comes. She will replace the "p" of pain with simply a "g" for him, and the smile that has left his face, and has turned him into a beast, will find its way back in his eyes and on his face.
Today, the young girl showed him a slight glimpse of himself in the mirror. She presented her case in a very simple yet assertive manner, that how can you not believe in God...when God has given u sooo much. You have name, fame, money...it didn't come as a packaged deal with you. Your efforts were rewarded and today you stand where you are...and how you are.
Yep. Khushi is on her way of becoming Arnav's mirror in whuch even if he hates to se himself , he will be forced to. Its like faith has come and stood in his way in the form of this girl who is hell bent on making him see the beauty of life than wallow in self-pity and misery.
What i think is, by putting her faith to test...he has challenged his own fate. In his hatred n revenge...he wants to destroy her reputation, coz she hit a stab on his beliefs. But what he doesn't realizes is...this test is not only for her.. he is an equal stakeholder here. His deed will backfire on himself and fate will bring this girl in front of his eyes again...and again...and again...till she becomes a part of his existence.
I guess you summed up the whole essence of the first half of the show by saying that. Just to hurt Khushi and trample her faith, Arnav has staked her , not knowing that in the process he is enginering his own fate.
Game of fate...he is also a mere player here...in the end, whatever is destined to happen, will happen. This game is not about whether the beauty wins or the beast...in this game, the ultimate win will be of destiny
You've rightly said that his act of clipping her wings...might take her innocence away. I would just say...innocence is a relative term...with time it decreases and diminishes...but if he cuts her wings now..fate will ensure that whenever she flies, he holds onto her tightly, so that her flight is always smooth. Fate...isn't he testing himself also??
Yep. Its not just about pushing Khushi into fire, its about getting drawn into it himself as well.
One last thing i wanna add is...the beast...i know, his life has been and is in a terrible state. He's arrogant, rude, revengeful...but somehow, for me, the portrayal here lacks the expressions and attitude. I really hope i can get that, coz till now, the beauty is overshadowing him...which leaves the beast behind her, negating the very concept/essence of a beast. This is my POV only. I have no intention of hurting any segment of fans here!
Light always swallows the dark, so yes, right now, the beauty is shining bright but then, the beast is supposed to be an unfeeling , cold, robotic man. Let the wounds be ripped open and the beast will deliver. And hey , its an opinion and an honest opinion never hurts anyone. Please write more 'coz i love the way you see things in a holistic view. 😳
